Oowned a 2020 WInnebago View 24V for a year. Overall great coach. Had leak problems in overhead bunk and other problems here and there. I have owned multiple RV's. Bottom line - Dont let these sorry RV Dealers touch your rig if it breaks. Go to the factory in IOWA its worth the trip! I go once a year even though its 1400 miles away. Dealers love selling RV's but are totally incompetent to fix them. The factory knows the rigs and can fix all problems noted by others very easily. Winnebago is better than most like those sorry Thor products - heard nothing but horror stories!

I purchased a 2019 Winnebago view from Lichtsinn RV in Iowa. I have to be clear my complaint is NOT with the good people at Lichtsinn. They are courteous, efficient, cost effective, professional and customer oriented. My plan was to buy from them over and over again...UNTIL....I rolled out of Iowa excited to have my brand new View. On the drive home the infotainment system stopped working. Without going into all the DOZENS and DOZENS of emails, phone calls, return trips to maintenance department, and texts to both Winnebago and Riverpark (the reseller of the infotainment system) my situation remains unaddressed over a YEAR later. I finally took the vehicle back and had an entirely new system put in. It too was defective. Recently with riverpark on the line after replacing every part of this system I took the entire panel of the RV apart. I wanted to give them one last chance to make this right before giving up and handing it over to my legal department. I saw what the problem was and he (Riverpark) admitted it was a mass manufacturing defect with a cheap attempted fix. He sent me to Winnebago, Winnebago sent me back to Riverpark...you can see where this is going. If you have a problem NEITHER WINNEBAGO NOR RIVERPARK WILL ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY. I plan to leave reviews everywhere I can to raise awareness. I will purchase a third party system and rather than replace my view every two to three years as planned I will switch to another manufacturer that will stand behind their products and those of their third party manufacturers. This morning I received a voicemail from Riverpark...thinking maybe they had come to their senses and worked something out I listened, yet again giving them the benifit of the doubt. It was a woman from Riverpark looking for one of the defective 50 cent plastic nav SD cards to be returned to them. At least someone is taking care of the big problems over there? Hence this review.

We owned a 2021 Airstream Classic 30' for approximately one year. It has not been the quality we expected. We owned a Winnebago View prior to buying the new Airstream. Much better quality, basically no problems ever with the Winnebago. The Airstream problems we had included: sink separated from countertop on first trip - fell 4" into lower cabinet, water problems, leaks, AC problems including sensors, CZONE issues, solar power display problems, light fixture literally fell from the ceiling, foot rest recliner bracket broke, ceiling blinds came unhooked from the ceiling, vent fan above the cooktop motor went out, door issues, and more. I would like to say we only took one out of state trip (that we had to cut short due to the sink problem) and never boon docked - no dirt roads or bumpy roads ever. We had to cancel scheduled trips due to a poor service department in our area and cut trips short (the few we took) due to issues with the Airstream. It was a constant problem that we finally got tired of and just sold. We will likely get another RV in the coming years, but it will not be an Airstream. Their quality on new rigs was just so poor.

Having owned a 2005 Airstream Sprinter conversion and putting over 90K miles on it with 0 problems, I wanted to have a little more room, and since Airstream doesn't offer slide outs,I bought a new 2013 Winnebago View. Had it less than a year and took a real bath on trade in but could not live with the many poor quality and design issues + Winnebago's awful warranty service. Just a few of the problems that cropped up in the 1st 3 months-- counter tops delaminated. cheap drawer and storage compartment floors bowed and separating from frame. Cheap trim moldings coming off. Tank fill switch so cheap that the handle broke on first use. Very poor under bed storage access--no bar to hold bed base up + not finished off inside. No transfer switch switch from generator to shore power--you have to go to outside to small door in back and reach into unlighted compartment to try to plug shore power plug into gen. receptacle (try it at night in rain) The cheapest TV I have seen in any RV + ugly and cheap mount. Kitchen water faucet cheap and leaky from the start. Mylar spring loaded shower door that has no positive catch to hold it open--slightly touching it results in it snapping back into holder. numerous other quality and design issues that are outrageous on a $130,000 vehicle. Sprinter part was excellent. Winnebago insisted I take it to dealer that was over 70 miles from me in the middle of nowhere requiring me to have someone follow me there to bring me back and then take me back out there to pick it up--this when there are several qualified RV repair facilities within a 10 mile radius of me. As a comparison, Airstream authorized me to take the Interstate anywhere of my choice and send them the bill on the few minor issues when I first got the vehicle + there were no more problems the 5 years and 90K+ miles I put on it--not even a loose screw! This Winnebago was my 6th RV--all 5 of the others put together didn't have as many problems as this View had.

Sprinter chassis excellent Quality control at Winnebago could be better Drawer slides have given me trouble screws coming out of cabinet doors I put extra screws in shelving shower valve leaked badly because it was improperly assembled entry door hinges corroded after 2 years because of wrong materials. The warranty is about useless because I am traveling in the summer And cannot make appointments 2 weeks or more out. I have fixed some of the problems myself but I spent $500 on new batteries within the 1st year Because I couldn't get into a dealer Overall I love the view When everything is working I store it inside in the winters

Bought this Class C View last August, we down sized from a Tiffin Phaeton 40IH, and Entegra Anthem’s. We wanted to keep things easier with a smaller unit and for the most part it has been ok for livability, wish it had a washer dryer combo. The problem is Winnebago warranty is horrible. They will not pay for the time and trip charge to have. Mobile repair person fix your problem. They will only cover the repair if you take it to one of their dealers. That means drop it off and wait for two weeks for them to get to it, then go back and pick it up. This is the first and last Winnebago I will purchase, Tiffin and Entegra warranty departments went out of their way to resolve issues at their expense. Spend $160k and get crap from Winnebago. Problems so far that I have fixed myself, Main door solenoid detached from opener Water interior water leak due to loose fitting at Truma water heater Exterior Doors not closing properly Exterior mirrors not sides covered in paint overspray AC/Heat Pump fan will only operate on Hi mode low fan does not work this is unresolved due to Winnebago warranty policy of not paying for mobile service! We are done with Winnebago and will be selling or trading this 2024 24D with new King Shocks, new heavy duty leaf springs, and 48 gal fuel tank!

Our 2017 Forest River Sunseeker 2400S was a big improvement over our previous 2014 Forest River Solera 24Sled (basically the same), in that they beefed up the sway control bar to Helwig, and they made little improvements that you notice right away. The basic design is great although it is a little boxy. The storage is great inside and out and it is easier to drive (larger sway bar). The only comparable unit is the Winnebago View, which is more streamlined and somewhat more fancy inside. But for the difference in the money, I would much rather have the Sunseeker. The Closet is huge w/ lighting and there are pull out baskets in the pantry for easy access to food and storage. There are large drawers inside which eliminate the need for luggage. The outside compartments are larger than on any comparable unit. As this was our second unit, we obviously feel it is the most practical unit out there for our needs. Forest River was pretty good as well in reimbursing us for repairs due to manufacturing errors. We photographed the problems and had a local RV repair shop fix the problems. We sent the bill and pictures to Forest River and they paid in full w/ no questions asked. We chose the 25' length so we could get into all the CA state parks and beaches. This is a great unit for the money and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Two things everyone should know that is considering buying a Winnebago View motor home. No one in our family can open the door with one hand. I am a 33 year old young lady (with no hand problems and average size hands) and I can’t open the main door into the coach without setting down what I am carrying to open the door with both hands and even then it’s a struggle to get it open. This is very annoying when trying to load anything in. They have it designed that you have to put your thumb on a specific spot and pull the handle out. I have grown up with trailers and have never seen such a bad design for the door handle. We brought the motor home to our local dealer who said they would “take a look at it” and nothing has changed on the ease of pulling the handle. Unfortunately, the adjustment they did make left a gap in the bottom of the door. Who wants to set down their load on the dirty ground? I want people to consider that this is a big problem. Problem two is you can’t run the convection microwave and induction cook top at the same time. If you do the induction cook top will stop running then beep and flash an error code. Again we brought it to our local dealership and nothing changed. This is really a pain when you are trying to make a dinner meal and warming up two things at once.
