When I initially saw this travel trailer I liked it. It had twin beds which for me was a hug sell. So I took a chance on the RV, the OVR Expedition. It was the biggest mistake I made, and also from the moment I took it off the lot I had a feeling but I stuck with it. When I finally settled I started looking over the RV and there were screws sticking out, missing sealant, uneven walls, doors, windows leaking, incorrectly labeled tanks and recently I found that the roof is not painted. That’s right it is a bare piece of aluminum, no treatment nothing so a few signs of rust here and there. I waited months for this to supposedly have been built “for me” but they failed tremendously. Trying to get a hold of someone in customer service or warranty is all via email by proxy instagram messaging and even then not much help. Let’s just say it’s all a failure on my part and well I wish somehow there was a way to get rid of this crap I am still paying on. 😟

In 2018 we bought this Heartland Wilderness 27.5. BRAIN NEW. To start with. We found issues when we did the walk through on it. The dealer said NO problem we'll schedule to fix them. Couldn't get a spot scheduled for six mths. When it was about time to get the repairs. The dealer was moving their shop so we were put off for 4 mths. waiting to get a spot, again 6 mths. out. Now the warranty is off. And we've experienced a leak in one of the slides. And the screws at the front roof seem are popping. And nails in the paneling are popping. Windows leaking. No problem we had paid for the extended warranty. So we thought. Then we were told that the manufactured defects aren't covered by extended warranty. Meanwhile more problems. When we did get it into the shop. The dealer spent 4 mths blowing smoke UOA and only connected 2 lights that had not worked from day one. At that point they were closing their shop because of Covid. Since then we've fixed some of the roof leeks ourself. And started to work on some of the other problems. When upgrading lighting we've discovered no insulation in a lot of the ceiling. Same thing in walls. Hole stud spaces with NO insulation at all. In inspecting windows leeks we've found more broke screws. Like in the roof. Seems like over torking was popular everywhere. We had bought this trailer for OUR retirement. Paid top dollar thinking we were getting a quality trailer. WE DID NOT. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TRAILER OR THIS MANUFACTURE FOR ANYTHING.

We bought this unit new in 2018. We were impressed with the Murphy bed, outdoor kitchen and large bathroom. The quality seemed ok for the low price. I spent my career in construction and hvac service so the couple of small issues that I saw I knew I could resolve without getting the dealer or manufacturer involved. Little did I realize six years later how poorly thought out the build quality of these units were. I have a hard time believing that these units were actually built to leak from underneath the frame. The entire width and about 24” inches in of the rear of the unit’s plywood floor was completely rotted out. As I got into taking out the rotten wood I saw that these units are designed to leak water when ever it was towed in the rain. This went on with no obvious signs of water intrusion for six years until one day i put my hand down on the floor of the outdoor kitchen and it pushed through the plywood. I am having to tear out the outdoor kitchen, the bath vanity and water heater in order to replace all the water damage. Fortunately I have the ability to do the work myself so I’m lucky there but I would never recommend Sonic or any Venture product again. I have also removed all Venture/Sonic badging. My wife and I have enjoyed many camping adventures in this unit so when I’m done with reno we’ll be back out in our new, water resistant/proof, no name travel trailer.

I highly recommend this RV as traveled the road with it for seven months, moved out of my house and into the RV for another three years. The RV did everything I needed and more! No slides on the RV to break, you just hook up and go! It’s the perfect length, getting into all of the RV parks with no reservation. And the amount of beds you get, is a killer deal!

I have used this camper three times. The battery was destroyed because the solar charger was sending too much energy to it. The vent cover fell off on the highway. The slide was hitting when extending and retracting. It ruined the trim. The microwave was faulty and had to be replaced. While replacing the microwave, the outlet fell apart and had to be replaced. The bathroom door guide had to be replaced. The stovetop had a recall and needed to be fixed. Alarmingly, the exterior door does not stay closed , even when locked. Walking inside the camper or pulling it on the road causes the locked door to pop open

No shower enclosure ,took me 6 months to get the sliding doors I’d paid for. Paid $1800 to replace hot water tank with arbus RV mill bay mobile service. Tank leaked from day 1,for next 2 years.because super Dave installed it wrong. & when I complained the service manager threatened me with police. As usual I repaired it myself. Even the general manager refused to help. Air conditioner quit 3rd year. This trailer had a 7 year extended $7K warrantee, the microwave quit 1st week but was replaced..the roof air has quit. The old staff was much more conscientious than the new staff. The old parts guy Lawrence actually tried to help ,unlike the present bunch. This place takes no accountability

All these campers look the same....BORING....until I found this gem. This is a true couple coach. Perfect for 2 people and a dog. Don't bother thinking anyone will ever sleep on that pull out couch. I love the floor plan. The kitchen is large and useable, especially on inside days. Is it perfect, no, show me a camper that is at this price point. It feels like my second home when I'm in it. What I would change? Bedroom needs a slide, it's cramped to walk around the bed. Livingroom needs a fireplace, I fixed that myself. Campers need to get rid of the ovens, who the heck is using the oven??? The outdoor kitchen is a bit of a waste, I'm going to remove the grill and put a cutting board there, we always bring our blackstone anyways. The carpet needs to go. Needs a bigger fridge. more windows. Mine is missing the soundbar remote, GOOD LUCK finding one, apparently these soundbar remotes are lost somewhere with the arc in the birmuda triangle. Even the manufacture can't find one. We have stayed in our surveyor for weeks at a time and were perfectly comfortable. No mechanical issues other than ones I caused.

We’ve spent a week in it and had no issues. The kitchen has plenty of storage for all the food and dishes you want. Plenty of clothing storage around the bed. The bed easily folds out into the Murphy bed, you could do it with one hand. The dinette also folds down into another bed for a couple extra people. The bathroom has tons of storage too. The outside griddle makes cooking even better when you’re in a campground.
