Thor Motor Coach Quantum reviews

Purchase this RV 6 months ago, we have been visiting Lazy Days in Knoxville a least 5 or 6 times due to quality issues, water heater breaking, toilet issues and other sort of issues since we purchased the RV. We purchased the unit from Lazy Days and they give us the impression that we are the problem.. A 100k investment should not have these kinds of issues so soon. We have not utilized this unit at a full capacity yet and we are drowning in issues without assistance from Lazt Days or Thor warranty department at all. I would not recommend anyone purchase an RV from Thor or Lazy Days. Customer Service is horrible. Show less

I have seen a lot of negative about the Quantum WS31. We have had our 2020 Quantum WS31 for just over 4 1/2 years. When we 1st bought it we did have a one time problem with the levelers. Thor techs were great and walked my husband through things to check. We did have to call a local tech to come to the RV park we were staying at to help. He was able to fix the problem and we had no further problems after this. I honestly cannot remember what it was. My husband taught me how to park it. After that we were off and with me doing 99% of the driving and parking. As my husband has tremors due to Parkinson's. We did a lot of mountain driving with a tow dolly pulling our Passat. No problems at all going up and down mountain roads or foothills. Plenty of power. We just had normal ware and tear on our Quantum. We did use our warranty for a few things with no problems. I will agree with complaints about Camping World. They were HORRIBLE to deal with both at dealer AND service end. I am shocked at the people that still deal with them. We ABSOLUTLY will no longer BUY or RECOMMEND business to them. As for THOR we have no complaints. This is just my 2 cents worth. Safe travels to all! Show less

Thor is the biggest joke I have ever seen. Camping World is a close 2nd. The entire process from looking to purchase has been a complete nightmare. All either of them care about is the signature at the bottom line. MOVE ANOTHER UNIT!! Stay away from both of these companies at all cost. Show less

Do not buy anything that has the name brand “Thor” . I purchased in 2022. Unit been back and fourth in shop for warranty work on everything took 8 months to finally take a trip. Thor warranty department is the worst of the worst, they won’t fix anything, or everything is bender based. Only thing thor does is put a box unit on a Chevy or ford box truck. So I get a 2022 thor quantum LC 22 cabinet sitting on a 2021 check body, go figure why the difference. I thought both should be on 2022. Wrong, so everything I. The cabinet is a different vendor, so you have to call them, thor is good about tell you who to call and wiggling out of handling any warranty items. You have to speak with a manager to get anything resolved. I guess they don’t. Are you just paid 100,000 for a new unit. All one of the guys in customer service told me was, RVs are not made by robotics like cars, they are made in America by us citizens by hand. Show less

The motorhome was well built and has been a pleasure to own. We find it very comfortable. The only thing I dislike about it is that the gas tank is too small. At 8 mpg you have to get fuel very often. It drives very well and is easy to setup. Show less

I have had nothing but trouble with the leveling system. The Radio and GPS system went out, I had to wait for several; months for a replacement during that time I called Thor and was treated like crap the gentleman I spoke to got mad and hung up on me after being very rude. I would never own another Thor product again. Show less

first up do not buy Thor. they have a clause in their warranty which forces you to sue them in Indiana. Indiana lemon law does not cover rv's. I have a lemon Thor here in CA and our state lemon law covers rv's. My coash has been in 180 days for repairs this last year. The QC on their build out is awful, Auto gen has not worked since day 1 so that means you cannot dry camp as the respirator will drain the battery. flooring had to be re-laid. everything the wifi etc all cross wired. A first class mess DO NOT BUY THOR and read the warranty on any unit you are buying others have this clause like Jayco and Coachman etc. You will not win the change of venue and you will be out for their atty fees and cost! My new Thor Quantum has not disappointed me. There were bugs initially but had good service and not too long a wait for parts to get things fixed on warranty, even in the midst of COVID, when it was hard to get any supplies. I love the two slide outs, vinyl wood floors, cabinet pull outs, king size bed, beautiful maple kitchen cabinetry, window treatments and shades, spacious storage in and outside, the V10 Ford workhorse motor and I am a Chevy girl , the beautiful gray, black and white graphic exterior design, a full awning, the oven my necessity and all the other luxury Coach amenities including porcelain toilet! This RV is the perfect size, is a pleasure to drive, park and maneuver even when towing VW beetle behind. Sometimes my partner and I fight over who gets to drive. Thor’s customer service has been excellent with good follow up and answering questions. Ford has also backed their product well and I have been more than pleased with their service. Would I purchase another Thor product absolutely just not from the dealership I bought mine from. First they sold the rig with the VIN # I had put money down on, the salesperson refused to come talk to me to discuss what they had done and believe I was spitting nails, they offered another but had a different salesman show it to me said they had sold mine a couple of hours earlier, then there was a piece of wood that was cracked and needed to be fixed, it was not cleaned up, it was suppose to have a TV put in the bedroom and that needed to be done, there service was god awful and there was no manager on site to talk to but you could call him, they were not accommodating and took forever to do the paperwork for which I had an appointment of 12:30 but they took everyone else before me….I was the last one in the dealership and finally finished a little passed 6:00. Never will I ever buy from Tampa General RV or General RV again and I will make sure no one I know does either! What a joke. Show less

Like all RV owners we struggled for years emptying our black tank. We purchased all the tools to simplify the process. This is not an area easy to diagnose a problem but we finally did find the issue. The issue was an engineering flaw at the manufacturing level. when the black tank release handle was pulled, it did not completely open the valve and debris would get clogged and unable to empty. When we approached Thor it fell on deaf ears. They should have authorized a repair. They created the problem and should have fixed it. This is not warranty work. This is a design issue. To those of you who are considering an RV, avoid Thor. Show less

This motorhome is a pleasure to drive and live in. Extremely well designed, and comfortable. Loaded with storage inside and out. Reliable and problem free. Great quality furniture, cabinets, bedding, appliances.Love the full wall slide, and two big screen tvs. Show less
