We have owned this camper since November 2021 and bought used. We have used this camper 12 times now and had a different issue but once on each trip. First trip, the fridge had a bad wire so could not use. A trip this year, they ran the volume meter wire directly into the grey tank and a screw just outside the tank went into the tank causing a leak. Where i live there is only one grand design dealer so I'm stuck buying parts from them. Ordered a new garage door and ir comes without a lock. No where online could I find details about that. The lock cylinder from the old door is not usable so now I'm forced to order another. I would not recommend buying any camper but especially a grand design. Expensive and not built well at all.

Have had nothing but quality issues with this camper! And customer service is a joke! Run don’t buy a grand design camper. Slide out in living room won’t go in half the time and the floor under it is bowed not due to water but due to a design flaw using cheap board instead of plywood! Cabinets latches are all broke. It says in a shed and has its whole life. Sky light cracked from screws being installed too tight and roof rolled up all from manufacturer per tv tech! Oh and the repairs gauge for the hot water heater went out the first time I took a shower in it!

We Factory ordered our rig in 2019. When we received our rig we had an issue with the AC not being installed correctly and our water heater leaking. All issues were brought directly to Grand design, and they took car of everything. We were full time living in our rig so Grand Design brought us a rig to live in while they took ours back to Indiana and made repairs. I will say they stand behind their product. If you are looking to go full time, Grand Design is the only full time rig I would buy.

We also love the full size bed and small armoire in the bedroom for clothing. The kitchen set up offers lots of counter space and lots of storage. We are happy with the microwave/air fryer in place of the very small oven they had before.

We’ve owned our 2019 Grand Design Reflection 287RLTS for several seasons now, and it continues to impress us with its thoughtful design, residential comfort, and reliable build quality. This travel trailer strikes a perfect balance between livability and towability, making it an ideal choice for extended weekends or even full-time use. Pros: Spacious Rear Living Area: The panoramic rear windows flood the living space with natural light, and the theater seating is incredibly comfortable for relaxing after a day of adventure. The U-shaped dinette offers plenty of room for meals and easily converts into a bed when needed. High-End Kitchen: We love the solid-surface countertops, stainless-steel appliances, and deep sink. The 12 cu-ft fridge (ours was upgraded in 2023) keeps everything cold, and there’s no shortage of storage. Four-Season Capable: With its heated and enclosed underbelly, high-BTU furnace, and ducted A/C, the trailer stays comfortable in both hot and cold weather. It’s well-insulated and holds up well in unpredictable climates. Build Quality: The laminated walls and aluminum framing provide a sturdy feel, and everything still works smoothly after years of light use. Towability: At under 9,000 lbs dry weight and around 33 feet in length, it’s manageable for most ¾-ton trucks. The hitch setup and weight distribution are simple and stable. Minor Cons: Bathroom Size: While functional, the bathroom is a bit tight—especially the shower for taller folks. Limited Exterior Storage: Pass-through storage is adequate but could be more generous for longer trips. Overall, this is one of the best non-bunkhouse travel trailers in its class. The 287RLTS delivers residential-style comfort in a package that’s easy to tow and live in. It’s been a joy to own, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a premium rear-living floorplan.

Like many others here, we did A LOT of research before purchasing a toy hauler. We understand that most RV's are poorly built (somehow this industry gets away with it year after year with little to no consequence) so we decided to spend the extra money and we purchased our Grand Design 21G in December 2020 based on many reviews which indicated Grand Design was better than most brands. Oooops. Nope. This is definitely NOT the case. Without listing the massive amount of problems and issues we've experienced with this overpriced piece of trash, and after over 9 trips to the dealership "service department" (LOLOL "service") and over 27 months of our trailer sitting in this "service department" while the so-called "technicians" just make things even worse, we've hired an attorney and we are pursuing a lemon law buyback. (why aren't more of you doing this???) This trailer is easily the biggest disappointment of a purchase we've ever made in our lives, and we aren't going to let them get away with it. We suggest more of you do the same. Grand Design is just as big, or in our case, an even bigger piece of junk than any of the others. Their customer service? Yeah, they put on a decent enough show at first, but when push comes to shove, they're the typical spineless dirty weasels who know they built and sold garbage.

The separation between the kitchen, living, and master bedroom creates a residential-style layout that’s perfect for long-term stays or full-time RV living. The rear kitchen is a chef’s dream—loaded with counter space, residential appliances, and tons of storage. The living area feels like a cozy living room, with opposing slide-outs, theater seating, and a large entertainment center. The master suite is spacious, with a king-size bed and a luxurious bathroom that rivals many high-end homes. We purchased the unit new in April of 2023 and use it about every other weekend during the summer. After the first couple of trips the door would no longer close and stay latched. If you bump into the valance surrounding the shades, they fall off. On our first long trip the main shade came completely off the wall. It was held on by only two screws that weren't screwed into anything solid. First time we wanted to put the table down for the grand kids to sleep on we found out it is off center by 3/4-inch, one side sits up on the bench. Sliding door to the bedroom kept breaking the plastic support on the floor. After several fixes I figured out the door was not or barely attached to the ceiling, again screws not put into anything solid like a stud. On a hot day you might as well get a motel room as the sewer smell will drive you out. Pulled the vent cap and found the plastic vapor barrier was installed right over the vent hole. Entertainment system has a DVD player which is good for the kids only trouble is, is that it is not a blueray player so I had to buy one of those, I was told that if we want to use the radio, we will need to buy an antenae to get any signal. Open a window, good luck getting it closed all the way. Solar cell, what a joke, we were told we could run the fridge in reduced power mode and all would be good, Nice if you want to park it without power between camping weekends. Just like everything else with this Turd, the Grand Design is Grand Failure. I can't even, in good conscience sell it or trade it in without being honest about the issues. Cheap Chinese junk no quality control.
