We recently purchased a used 22 ft 2017 camper with slide out. We got screwed in so many ways. I will not explain the black mold because it doesn't have anything to do with the manufacturer. I will tell you this entire camper is SO CHEAPLY MADE THAT YOU DO NOT WANT TO PURCHASE SUCH A CAMPER!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS MANUFACTURER. I am a woman who remodels camps and I have owned few campers in my life and those one... I actually cried when we got it home. The quality is so CHEAP! MY old Jayco... it spoiled me! It sucks to spend so much money yo taken advantage. One from not having lighting to see the blck mold, but two.... to see how cheap the stapled th I n molding is and the heavy expensive widows are. You can't open them more than a few inches and the arms to put them out..... what s thinly made joke! STAY away from this manufacturer!!!! Any year, style...anything made this .Premier place!!!!! I loved the floor plan, I found it roomy. I didn't care for the high kitchen table bench and chairs but i got used to it. Fabulous kitchen with lots of cabinets, acceptable walk around bedroom with a good size dresser. The bathroom is great but the fan does not have a switch on the wall. You need to get a stool and reach up to turn it on when you need to circulate air. The Structure was awful. I had issues with the door. The outside gas valve leaked after 6 months. The decor was very cheaply put together. The walls had lots of staples and some staple holes were filled in. The bathroom sink molding separated; the electric came with no USB's working. Some overhead lights didn't work because of wiring passing through the large slide became loose while in transit. It took over 2 years for Campers Inn NH to take care of the work because Prime would not reimburse them. It is now may 2023 and Campers Inn Still has not fixed the USBs despite them telling me they will. (Last communication was sept of 2022) Overall. I love the layout but I need to keep up with the short comings and poor construction. I am able to do this because i read all the issues so many people had and how they fixed or delt with them. The larger Dealers like to talk about their fantastic warranties but that is false. Beware and read. NO Dealership will fully honor a factory warrantee and extended warrantees without hassles and outright refusing to repair an issue. I have the documentation to prove it. It will be a few good years before i have to purchase my 3rd RV. Because of the drastic decline in quality i will know what to beware of. Show less

We like all RV just had so many issues with it. Poorly built, won't last very long but we like the floor plan. The worst part was the Camping World in North Charleston South Carolina. They are absolutely the worst people to deal with capital RV for 7 months. Will never buy another camper from Camping World. If I would have looked at the reviews I would have saw that there are many bad reviews on Camping World. They don't return calls, they don't do what they say they're going to do. During sales they told me they would give me two 100 watt solar panels installed on the roof. After the sale they said they would only do one. And give me a suitcase solar panel. So watch them very carefully or rather don't do business with them at all. Don't know if any of the other RV dealerships or any better. But I definitely won't buy anything from Camping World again Show less

I’ve owned rvs since 1982, I bought the autumn ridge for a retirement camper. This is the worst camper I have ever owned. Continuos water leak problems with water lines, hard rain comes in through air conditioner. I have brought it back to dealer twice and I’m still having problems. Cheap tape on cabinets is pealing off. These trailers are built with scraps I think. The people who put them together have got to be ignorant or just don’t care. Workmanship is pathetic. As soon as I got it home we realized the roof had a severe kink in it on the roof. Back to dealer. Leaks have been a major problem and have been brought back to dealer for these. Every time I have taken it out something else goes wrong. Knowing that the company won’t admit it’s a piece of junk and the warranty is expired now. I’m stuck with a piece of junk. I will never purchase another camper of any brand they manufacture because they will probably be junk too. They won’t print this email so everyone can see the garbage they produce but I will always advise potential buyers not to purchase any brand that they produce. What happened to American craftsmanship. This company should be ashamed of the quality of work they put out. It is literally junk. If you have the guts to email me back please don’t hesitate. Thor industries should be ashamed of themselves for scamming people out of money by taking a cardboard box, disguising it to make it look good quality, and then charging a ridiculous amount. I have had my heartland mallard for a little over a year and it is leaking from every window, every skylight opening, and every vent every time it rains. It has a Crack on the roof which has led to roof feeling waterlogged or like it will cave in at any moment. The ac kicks on and off repeatedly leading to high power use. I have already had to replace the faucet and shower head. All the trimming was falling off within the first month. The screen doors never were made to latch because they are too narrow for the frames. The fireplace/heater rattles when you turn it on like it will give at any moment. Let me not forget the huge piece of wooden panel above the kids bunk randomly falling off because it was held with staples (that could have hit one of my children) The awning won't stay plugged in and the tank sensors don't ever work right. To make matters worst.... the warranty isn't worth a flip. I took it for problems I was having with ac and trimming and they kept it for over about 2 months and fixed nothing outside of stapling the trimming back on. So now as a single mom of 2, I'm having to pay a $45,000 loan on a camper that hasn't even lasted a year. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. It's all about making money at no expense. I need to clarify that half of my discontent is toward the dealer and the other half is my discontent with the quality of fit and finish in the AIRSTREAM BASECAMP 20' RV. First off I bought this RV for business purposes mainly. I travel all year long to many different states but live in COLORADO. When asking the dealer if the AIRSTREAM BASECAMP 20' can be uses in the winter? His reply was, "Oh yes its rated down to 0 degrees F" Excellent! So this problem falls on me. Had I researched it better and read the manual before purchasing I would have realized, "NO IN FACT IT CANNOT BE USED WITH ALL FEATURES BELOW 32 DEGREES F" Okay begrudgingly I accept responsibility for this mistake. However it is an off road trailer. It is Airstreams answer to to off road customers. Being that this dealer is in COLORADO, one would think they would inform you "NO IN FACT IT CANNOT BE USED IN WINTER". Alright my fault. Now onto the Fit and Finish of the RV. The time it took to research the RV's on the market, I kept running into how Airstream is the Highest quality, Best Resale value, etc etc... So okay great... that's what Im looking for. All along the main reason I chose Airstream was mainly because of the No Formaldehyde used in the components. When looking at other RV's my eyes would burn upon entering the unit. This did not happen with the BASECAMP. However I do not understand how Airstream and Dealers and Periodicals claim they hold their value so well when they are maid and finished with some very low quality parts! For instance: INSIDE FINISHES: 1) Storage; Every glass door handle from inside storage doors has fallen off at least two times each in the 6 months I've owned it. The glass actually moves in the hinges so it can easily fall out if one isn't super vigilant in making sure its closed properly. 2) Bathroom; The bathroom door handle mechanism has fallen off. The shower head, the shower head holder and shower head tube is all very cheap plastic that is simply screwed into the Aluminum sheeting not into any stud. So be very careful about how you tug on it because 3 lbs of force will remove it entirely from the wall! 3) Other fit and finish issues but too numerous to take up the readers valuable time, you get the point. OUTSIDE FINISHES: 4) The doors have a tiny tiny latch that holds them from inadvertently closing. These latches are not anchored in anything except for the sheet of super thin aluminum. A wrong pull or strong wind will pull the latch right out of the aluminum. you can see the 2 inch travel in the sheet if you pull on it softly. 5) The plastic cover on the hitch to hide the electric cable the propane tanks and other items is so flimsy it has no locking capability and has elastic cords to hold top down. Ive had it 6 months now and will have to replace these with in another 6 months. 6) The manufacturer puts a "Rock Guard" on the two front sides of the trailer which is a great idea! Terrible execution though. When driving down the road if you glance in the rear view mirror the flex and contortion forces on these panels makes me worry how long they will be on the unit? They literally look like they will break off any moment. 7) I ordered an after market rack for the rear of the RV that I could install for carrying my generators. Awesomely constructed rack btw! its from "EZ-Rack". In any event, the instructions on putting this rack on are to remove the under panel in the rear to get at the studs to mound rack mounts too. Well in doing so you see that no wonder the manufacturer of the RV doesn't recommend using the RV in the winter cause there isn't a stitch of insulation anywhere to be found and the gauge of aluminum used is deplorable. I could continue in this same vane for like 20 more items but I want the moderators to allow this review and i find myself beginning to get angst and its probably showing so ill finish with the following statement: We pain $58,000 for this RV and it is simply NOT WORTH IT. Quality of craftsmanship is horrible on the one I bought. Getting them for fix anything has been horrible, bought in September 21 and it in now the end of February and still waiting. Reported things the first day and still nothing for 6 months. I was told the warranty was great but I have not seen it yet. I do not recommend buying this model. It could also be the dealer I bought from. I am going to give them another month before I do a review on them. Show less

Art less than $2,000 lbs you don't even know it is back there, doesn't affect RV mileage at all. Easy to hook up and disconnect, tows flat. Cute little convertible to enjoy all the places you travel while getting great mileage. Since it is not really a long haul highway car it is perfect as a tow vehicle. Automatic with lots of accessories, the top can be lowered while you are driving so if it starts or stops raining or gets warm you can lower the top for the views and fresh air. Show less

I will NEVER recommend forest river rvs!!! I purchased a new 2022 silver lake and it has been a complete disaster!!! Buyer beware!!! My unit is totally JUNK!!! Paid more than 42,000 and nothing but issues since day one. Been in service for almost 2 months now with what the dealer called catastrophic roof failure. The whole unit was completely filled with water due to heavy rain and it has ruined EVERYTHI G!!! Now the warranty department is dragging their feet to repar coming up with any and all excuses!!! This unit will have to have a complete new roof as there are so many leaks it's just crazy!!! This unit was only 3 .months old when the roof failed now making payment while setting in dealer shop for almost 2 months with NO end in sight!!! These rvs look great but the quality of workmanship and the warranty is AWLFUL!!! DO YOUR RESEARCH AND CONSIDER YOUR OTHER CHOICES BEFORE YOU BUY THIS JU NK!!! Now they want pros and cons before I can post my review!!! There are no pros to list but alot of cons I have already listed!! My personal experience is this is unacceptable in every way!!! Show less
