We purchased our Solitude late last July 2023. It had several issues that needed repair. The Solitude was purchased new over 6 figures. After multiple phone calls, emails, and texts we finally picked up our Solitude on November 13, 2023. They didn’t clean the unit inside or outside.
We plugged into shore power and everything seemed to be working great. One of the issues was the replacement of one refrigerator door and the freezer drawer. Upon leaving Oklahoma for Florida I discovered that the ice maker wouldn’t work. Upon investigation it had water in the reservoir but wouldn’t freeze. I also noticed that $200 worth of frozen beef had begun to thaw. The reason as I soon discovered was that the seals were missing on the two doors your company replaced.
The level of incompetence you guys display just keeps on giving! 4 months of it now.
The bed was never repaired. I’m not sure what was going on when you were making the repairs but the island has gouges and marks all over it. I’m guessing when whomever brought in the replacement recliners they did it.
Russell (Service Advisor) is the only person I dealt with that showed any professionalism. He apologized for the delay many times. He was also extremely courteous.
Nick (Sales Manager) also displayed a desire to help us.
Alex made the sale and forgot about us, real nice!
Jason (Service Manager) is worthless. He never made one followup call to advise us of any progress. Actually no one made any attempt to give us status updates. I had to demand to see him to get anything accomplished. In fact I had to show up in person because other forms of communication didn’t work. Again worthless.
I will never do business with McClains again, ever. I’ve purchased two Grand Designs from your store. Thank goodness the Imagine never had any issues.
Grand Design has a great product. So if you want to purchase one go out of state.

We purchased a 2022 Keystone Cougar 355fbs in October 2022. It continues to have issues from beginning of purchase until today. Portion of bedroom ceiling needed to be replaced due to bad leak from air vent. "P" TRAPS in bathroom sinks only connected on one side causing major leaks in bathrooms. Water connections for washer leaked resulting in replacing connectors. Kitchen ceiling fan cover cracked due to bad resistance in motor when closing. Motor for fan finally replaced after initial refusals.
Latest issue a day ago was Furrion Refrigerator/Freezer died during the night. Since no longer under first year warranty we were able to get it fixed under Good Sam Warranty. Problem with Furrion unit was two melted capacitors due to lack of air circulation around Refrigerator. Refrigerator is placed in a tight compartment in slideout with no place for heat from Refrigerator motor to be vented. During the replacement of capacitors the remaining capacitors on circuit board appeared to be expending from heat. Repairman is going to try and get a new circuit board from Furrion. Next fix will be getting wiring.for awnings taken off of slideout posts on In-Command System and placing them on the awning posts, so when using In-Command you actually open and close awnings by pushing awning button instead of slideout button...

Over all nice rig. and it pulls very nicely considering it weights 16.5K. I love the Lippert Road Armor Pin box. It almost completely eliminated chucking going across bridges etc. Storage is plentiful especially in the kitchen. My major complaint is the bathroom is all the way in the back, visitors have to travel through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. Also if you need to stop along the road to use the bathroom, you have to open the dinning room slide and the bed to get to the bathroom. The push button light in the bathroom is not conveniently placed. that light is all the way at the end of the counter under the cabinet, you need a long arm to get to it. The barn doors are in a constant need of repairs, There are no outside lights other than the awning lights especially on the drivers side and no lights in the front where the front storage is. There is a light inside the storage compartment but it is up high and hard to reach. This unit has only been pulled a few times and already one of the Lippert schwintek slides needed to be repaired. The most important complaint is the steps leading to the bedroom are 10 inches apart. coming down the steps at night are a very real trip hazard. one of my guest fell and severely injured her face. I have since had to add a bottom 6 inch step and a 4 inch addition to the next step. I now have a 3 step set up that reduced the 10 inch steps to 3-6 inch steps. I used exercise steppers to accomplish this: they have 14 inch treads. I can't believe Keystone allowed this hazard to get through engineering. The other complaint is the Lippert slide controllers are difficult to get to. the one for the ODS living room slide is behind a panel that can only be reached by crawling into the front DS compartment and removing a partition behind the city water compartment. Also, for a 2020 model year, you would think Keystone would have install smart TV's, this RV has Furrion dumb TV's in front and in the rear. The Furrion entertainment system is very cheap. If you want a decent entertainment system you will have to purchase it yourself.

I love the way it tags Long behind my Silverado 2500 HD with A duramax diesel. It is advertised as a full time living 5th wheel.
We have now lived in ours for about 3 weeks. All has gone great with no complaints . However, today it began to rain. Our particular 5th wheel did not come with slide out toppers. (MY mistake) As I type this review it is raining,(drizzle) not hard down pour outside. I have in the past lived for years in a 4th wheel with slide out toppers and now realize just how much they help. I EXPECT noise from rain on the roof BUT not the amplified thumping of rain drops on the flat slide out roofs. It currently sounds like I am sitting inside a drum that is being played at a rock concert.
This RV is to expensive of an investment for the slide out toppers not to be standard equipment
I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE WHO IS CONSIDERING AN ALLIANCE RV, TO NOT EVEN CONSIDER PURCHASING ONE IF IT IS NOT EQUIPPED WITH SLIDE TOPPERS . Given the cost you pay for such a 5th wheel it is not acceptable for Alliance not to include on all of their products.

The name grand design would lead you to think that things were engineered well. How do you engineer the clothes closet without enough hanging length for your clothes to be too long not to be all wrinkled at the bottom. There are two drawers below the hanging space that could have been made shorter so your clothes could hang normally. Or elemenated for proper hanging in the closet.
Do not put things in the tubs in the front storage area the tubs are thin cheap plastic and they break out and cave in.
The spray on the cabinets is so poorly done light spots showing through nail holes not finished properly.
Don’t let the name grand design fool you not well thought through at all
