Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite reviews

The 2021 Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite 2511S has been an excellent RV value. The rear-bathroom and front-bedroom floor plan makes for the perfect couples trailer. Two slide-outs: bedroom closet and entertainment center dual recliners. Super comfortable queen-sized bed. It travels well over the road—and because it’s so light (5,492 lbs. dry weight)—you can take it on long road trips without staggering fuel bills. Some people have commented about quality . of various features are built and outfitted on Forest River RVs, and I do understand that point of view. However, my experience with my 2021 Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite 2511S has not been degraded by low-quality components, design, or workmanship. This RV is well-made and built for affordability. If you’re in the market for a fun, comfortable RV in the $30K to $40K price range, I recommend you look at the 2021 Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite 2511S travel trailer. Show less

This floor plan is crazy spacious for such a small travel trailer. When you put the bed it, you have so much space to visit and walk around. At night, when you do not plan on having any more visitors, you put your bed down and you can tuck away for the night. Even with such a small travel trailer, you still get an acceptable passthrough storage, a tall outdoor storage, and an outdoor storage under the dinette. You have plenty of counter space, especially with the fold up extension. This is a quality build and built before COVID. The light hitch weight and overall weight make it a great little travel trailer to tow with a large SUV or 1/2 ton pick up. If you need more storage, put a rack on the back, and you are good to go. This trailer has everything needed in a smaller, trailer. A 60" x 74" murphy bed doubles as a 74" sofa during the day to accommodate more seating. This unit is equipped with a huge 44" X 85" U shaped dinette for entertaining. You can sleep 4 in this 22'4" trailer while seating 5/6 guests during the day. Also in this trailer is a full bathroom, wardrobe closet, full kitchen with a 12v fridge, and plenty of storage. Show less

We bought our Rockwood new just under 5 years ago. unfortunately, we haven't had the time to really enjoy the unit. it is well-built, attractive and carries the best features. hopefully, we'll sell this unit to some lucky folks quickly, This trailer has everything needed in a smaller, trailer. This model is a great couples camper and tows great. We love boondocking and traveling the country with this RV. It has a 2 inch lift kit from the factory that provides additional ground clearance. The air conditioning is ducted throughout and provides excellent and comfortable cooling. Show less

“Lemon”, I had several problems with my 2022 Rockwood Mini Lite 2509S within four months of ownership. The rv dealership I had made my purchase sold to another company. It was and still is extremely difficult to get Forest River Customer Service’s help to get anything repaired and or replaced. The reason behind all of the numerous problems I have with my Rockwood mini lite I was told is because of the Covid and the dealership didn’t do their duty of inspections neither because of the Covid. No one wants to admit the truth for the shoddy workmanship of installation, and using cheap low quality materials that continually fall apart. I have screws back out, the metal that was used is all rusting. I have malfunctioning electrical connections and outlets. I have a malfunctioning power awning, gaping and sagging slide out, faulty water system, and the list goes on and on. My 2022 Rockwood mini lite is a safety and health hazard and I can’t use it in this condition neither sell it in this conditions . I was told the repairs for the labor and replacement of many parts is going to cost in the thousands of dollars. Please spread the word and don’t make my mistake by purchasing a rv by Forest River-Rockwood. Show less

Garbage construction under the surface. Had to rewire and secure fridge. Privacy doors fell off tracks and tracks are not accessible without ripping out trim. Drawers are supported with wood glued to underside of countertop and they fall off on any rough roads, I now have to re-engineer drawer support in kitchen. Show less

Excellent RV. Easy to pull. Easy to back into a camping site. Great camper for a couple. No maintenance issues. Floorplan is excellent. The bed is very comfortable and easy to get in and to get out of. There is lots of storage space. The shower easily accommodate a big person. The fireplace heater below the television was delightful. It was all that was needed to warm up the cabin on a cool morning. Show less

Purchased a brand new 2022 2507S . Love the trailer, but hate the poor manufacturing / quality processes that went into this. Front "auto style" window leaked terribly - I fixed it myself. The manufacturer forgot to install the water filter resulting in a disastrous plumbing issue. Not sure if there is enough text space to identify all the issues "I HAD TO REPLACE AND FIX MYSELF!!!" The warranty is "NON-EXISTENT". Stay away from Forest River at all cost!! I guess we got a "LEMON" as the company generally has received positive reviews apparently. All this for a "BRAND NEW TRAILER!!!" Shameful. The upside is I've made the trailer better than the manufacture and have gotten to know the trailer inside and out, but I'm very disappointed. Show less
