Below is a copy of my latest email to Winnebago. I bought a brand new bus that had manufacturing defects which led to severe water damage. We have decided the situation with this motorhome is beyond unacceptable. This is more than warranty work. It's not like this is our camper that we have been using and something went wrong. It is brand new. I have never used it. We purchased it new on April 24th knowing that there was a minor repair that we were told would be completed in less than a week. Here we are almost a month later and nobody even knows what's going on. These are the facts though. The whole passenger side front end of the bus is water damaged to the point that all the Luan is rotten. With mold and mushrooms growing out of the wall. The seals on the roof were not installed / applied correctly by Winnebago during manufacturing. The joint where the roof meets the sidewall in the area of the leak was not properly mated and sealed. These manufacturing defects caused serious water damage. I also picked up high moisture levels on all the walls by both slide outs. I'm waiting for general RV to peel that wall paper back to confirm water damage there too. There was no putty tape or silicone sealant on any of those joints so I expect the moisture reading to be correct and all that paneling to be water damaged also. I sealed them to mitigate further damage, but I suspect the damage has been done already. The coach is so waterlogged that I found mold and even mushrooms growing on the wall. I have photos of this disgusting problem. I'd like you to know that I'm not some wealthy person that can just blow this off. This purchase is a huge financial burden and was purchased as a living situation. I just retired after 24 years in the military and this was the next chapter in life. It has turned into a disaster. This is a brand new coach. I have never used it. It is rotten from water damage caused by manufacturing defects and lack of quality control. I paid for a brand-new coach, not this rotten POS. We want Winnebago to either, buy this bus back, replace it with a new undamaged unit like we paid for, or arrange for General RV to take this bus back and get us our old RV back and somehow fix the financial parts of this. Also, I would be surprised if nobody at General RV knew about this. I need to know right now if Winnebago is going to work with me or against me to get this resolved. I'm not okay with driving this 1600 miles back to the factory then waiting weeks or months for repairs then driving 1600 miles back. I bought a brand new camper. haven't used it, and this isn't a new camper issue or resolution.

I like the floor plan, also like the style. But the company itself does not stand behind their product. Very poor workmanship no quality control. This could be a very nice motorhome. If they would put some quality behind it. For example, the interior fell apart in three years, the vinyl all delaminated. The floor structure on my unit was only spot welded. Someone forgot to go back and finish a welds before they installed the floor trusses, so the reinforcement struts all broke out of their spot Wells the structure cracked , compartments sagged, after that water gets pumped in from the tires if you’re driving in the rain. And Winnebago will not stand behind their screwup I would suggest finding a company with more pride in there coach. It’s a shame that a company that’s been around more than 50 years put out this poor quality of a product. I can’t imagine COMPANY) staying in business that way.

Purchased my 2019 Forza 38F in February 2023 from Arizona with 9,988 miles. Replaced all tires & Batteries. have driven it over 11,000 miles all over the country with little or minor issues - I had an issue with 2 of the basement doors opening during travel - Winnebago had a recall on the doors Colonial RV in New Jersey put secondary locks on all basement doors under warranty with no cost to me. Great place. I take it to a Freightliner Repair shop every 6500 miles (3X since purchase)for an oil change & lube along with other PM items wash & wax every couple of months & keep the seals clean If you take care of the mechanicals it will take care of you. Good Reliable Machine The Freightliner shops have been knowledgeable & friendly & Colonial RV in southern NJ easy to work with Wholesale Warranty- extended warranty not so good. Had a DEF fitting crack @ the ejection line fitting going into the exhaust- they stated not covered because it is part of exhaust system. It is not its part of environmental control system- using their logic the turbo charge would be part of exhaust. If you need parts you wouldn’t find them in the exhaust section Good Machine reasonably Priced still having fun with it. Currently stored indoors for the Winter first 2024 trip March 30th to South Carolina

It appears that a piece has broken off causing a cross frame to come apart. This coach is 5 years old with 30k miles. How is the quality so poor?

Owned several Rvs including Winnebago products. Currently a 2018 34T motor home. Historically a good product, the quality has takeben a nosedive - literally to a Thor product. Absolutely can't use in cold weather. No insulation in walls, floors and windows are like open ducts. Cabinets and walls crooked. Multiple trim pieces and shade rods falling off. Light switches junk and no longer even available. Cushions foam breaks down overnight. Theatre type seating mechanically dangerous. Storage doors hard to close and pop open. Under powered at 340 up when towing. Noisy cab and driver/passenger windows. Multiple appliance failures - refrig, heat pump, ceiling vent fans, microwave, washer. Generally no where near the historical quality. Worried about what they' ll do to Newmar.
