My wife’s family has always cherished camping, making it a treasured tradition for nearly every holiday. After marrying, we eagerly joined them but always stayed in her parents’ trailer. Anyone who’s camped in a small space knows how quickly it can become challenging—especially sharing with family. So, when my wife excitedly said, “We should buy our own trailer!” it seemed perfect for creating our family memories. We visited dealership after dealership, touring countless trailers until they blended together. One day, my wife burst through the door exclaiming, “I found the perfect trailer!” Her excitement was contagious, and we immediately planned to see it. At Bish’s RV, the salesperson warmly showed us the trailer. I specifically asked about an inverter, and she assured me it was “wired for one but doesn’t include it.” Comfortable with that, we discussed financing. She confidently promised they could beat any other bank by 50%, an offer that seemed fantastic. We slept on it and, convinced we’d found our dream trailer, returned the next day to complete the paperwork. After clearly agreeing on our maximum affordable payment, we were shocked to see the actual payment higher than agreed. Despite this, we moved forward, eager for joyful camping memories. Our excitement quickly turned to frustration. During our first trip, we found water leaking beneath the trailer when flushing the black tank. Disappointed, we returned it to Bish’s RV, who also replaced a missing dust cap. With hopes restored, we believed our troubles were over. However, while winterizing, we discovered the water heater bypass valve wasn’t functioning, forcing another visit. The following season brought more disappointment—the water heater wouldn’t start. After a week-long stay at the dealership, we learned it was due to loose wiring. Our breaking point came on our most recent outing. My daughter sat down, and the bench collapsed beneath her. Her shock deeply saddened me. Inspecting further, I found the supports poorly stapled, careless and avoidable. Later, my wife quietly asked, “Does the fridge look strange?” Our hearts sank as we saw it falling into the cabinet, shattering our dreams of joyful, relaxing trips. Feeling disheartened, we contacted BishFix. Despite the warranty, they required a $190 upfront fee. We reluctantly paid, enduring a month of delays and frustrations as the technician awaited BishFix authorization. Another traumatic moment was the door lock failing, locking us out. Since we live in our trailer full-time due to my wife’s role as a camp host, this was more than inconvenient—it was terrifying. After dinner with family, we found the key spinning uselessly in the lock. Panic overwhelmed my youngest daughter, who had a heartbreaking panic attack. Roadside assistance repeatedly asked for my details, promising callbacks but never helping. Desperate and exhausted, I pushed out a window screen and lifted my nephew inside to unlock the door. Finally, I drove an hour and a half to Bish’s RV to speak directly with someone. After repeatedly explaining our situation, feeling unheard and overlooked, they arranged for a technician the next day. Upon arrival, the technician confirmed my suspicion that the blinds were installed backward. The always polite and professional service desk employee promised the Regional Manager would contact me. When he did, rather than providing solutions, he shared unrelated frustrations about delays on his expensive home project. Feeling even more unheard and dismissed, he eventually promised to evaluate our trailer’s current value, leaving us waiting again. We’ve documented numerous build-quality issues, heartbreakingly evident from our very first trips. Photos show these issues clearly, but the emotional toll—the disappointment, broken promises, and seeing my family’s excitement dashed repeatedly—is immeasurable. Even the door, randomly locking or refusing to open, symbolizes our experience. We share this hoping other families can avoid the heartache we’ve endured.

Four season construction with the garage makes it a great camper for hunters.

IT WAS THE BEST CHOICE FOR SPACE! SO MUCH SPACE! We love to cook and there is so much space to put kitchen wear and food. The bathroom is very private as well, and the washer and dryer are a life saver, a long with the auto leveler. This was my first RV model and in comparison to others, this one has a more modern feel and more considerate design for privacy and functionality.

I purchased my 2019 Highland Ridge RV Mesa Ridge Lite MR2802BH brand new from the dealership, and I specifically sought out this floor plan after doing a lot of research. As someone who was actively competing in triathlons and frequently traveling from city to city, I needed something comfortable, practical, and family-friendly. Hotels quickly got expensive and didn’t always offer the flexibility or convenience I needed, this trailer was the perfect solution. What immediately drew me to this model was the floor plan. It has two full-size bunks and a dinette that converts into a bed, which made it ideal for traveling with kids. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep without feeling cramped. One of my favorite features is the two exterior doors. The main entry and a separate door that leads directly into the bathroom were a game-changer. If you're familiar with the triathlon lifestyle, you know mornings start early with training sessions and prep work. Having that secondary bathroom door meant I could come back and clean up without waking the kids who were still asleep inside. There’s also an outdoor shower, nothing fancy, but incredibly useful. I could rinse off after a run, bike, or swim without dragging sweat and gear through the trailer. Combine that with the outdoor kitchen and mini fridge, and it created a great setup where I didn’t even need to go inside unless I had to. Everything I needed was right there outside. From a towing standpoint, this trailer is considered lightweight. It tows at a dry weight of 5765 lbs and tracks really well. I had no issues hauling it between events or campgrounds. The thermal package also helped maintain a comfortable interior temperature whether we were dealing with summer heat or chilly mornings. Overall, the Mesa Ridge Lite MR2802BH checked every box for me. It’s functional, well-designed, and thoughtfully laid out for anyone who travels with kids or lives a more active, on-the-go lifestyle. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for something versatile, family-friendly, and easy to manage on the road.

I have had this unit for 8 weeks. We had this grand idea to come down to the states adventure a couple weeks a month, see new amazing things, and then drive it back home. (Alaska). HAHAHA- 1. BEFORE WE EVEN PICKED IT UP (but after we had already bought it)- the dealer had done an "inspection" and found out they had to do warranty work for delamination on the front sides. Purchased July 31st, Picked up September 21st- still missing decals- but whatever. Only had a short window for our adventure opportunity. its just stickers. 2. Day 3- Fridge did not work, or hold temperature. (they sent us a new one) 3. The overhead cupboard doors kept popping off their hinges. 4. Cabinet handles fell off. 5. solar controller didn't work properly. (they sent a new updated one) 6.went to use the heat- NONE of the ducts were attached! NONE 7. living room lights went out. (connectors are cheap and unplug apparently) 8. The closet rod was attached via 4 screws into the thin roof, so it obviously fell when i hung up the third item (I think the 4 screws are actually supposed to attach our toilet roll holder to something?) 9. our toilet roll holder was not attached, nor did it have screws lol- but now it does? haha 10. one of our chairs broke- the bottom just fell off. 11. and here's the kicker - our living room slide leaks- like ALOT, we called to make an appointment and were told we need to be prepared to leave it for 8 weeks!! That's how long we have had it. 12. OH and the wall mounted command station can't stay connected to the node because the screen needs updates, but the tablet is too old to update! No joke- cannot use it to open or close slides or awnings- FUN. We decided to do this road trip now, while I am finishing my masters. When I get back home, I have to go back to work and life goes back to normal. Only using the trailer 4-6 weekends a year, but dammit, we have had it 8 weeks, which was 4 trips, and now we will be without it for just as long. We purchased it July 31st- We were able to pick it up September 21st. Away it goes again. I am devastated that we bought a lemon. We saved our whole life for this opportunity. I am simply tired, and beat down. I feel absolutely ripped off, oh and I owe on it for 15 years!! WTF. They should never do loans on these for that long... they won't last long enough to pay it off. I wish we hadn't sold our 2006 Keystone. I'd do anything to be back in the position we were, paid off and it all worked. Something breaks every week on this 2024 brand new JAYCO- HIGHLAND RIDGE, but this leak... this is a huge inconvenience and completely hinders our plans. Everything we saved for gone down the shitter- the one that always says 2/3 full even when its empty. I cannot believe they can charge people so much and not be held accountable, not only for the quality of the product, but then not held accountable on how long they claim to need to keep it for repairs. This is robbery. We were so excited and now we are so devastated. #Jayco did us dirty.

We purchased a highland ridge toy hauler in August 2023, First time we took it out the plumbing under the kitchen sink leaked. My husband fixed it, Had it out for a day, The 2nd time we went camping I went to load up the refrigerator with food. It didn't work, My husband found out the battery was bad, hoping to fix the problem he purchased a new battery. ( Mind you the trailer was only a year old at the time. $200.00 for a new battery) The guy at advanced auto said to him this battery is not new, its a 2020 battery, So in other words someone had switched batteries. My husband put the new battery in hoping the fridge would work, IT DIDNT!!! We took it with a few coolers in hand. Long story short, we took our first shower in the camper. Water started pouring under the bathroom sink. Then he went to let out the black and gray water, Water started pouring out under the camper itself. This camper should be considered under the lemon law!!!It has shotty workmanship to say the least. I would NOT recommend a Highland ridge to anyone. Its a 30,000 piece of crap!!!

We purchased this RV 2022 at a dealership in Memphis TN which went bankrupt and they lost the information on our purchase. They couldn't help us on warranty. My husband had more knowledge on trailers than I did. This Trailer very nice at first until the nightmare that this trailer has had it's not worth getting and Steven called it the covid trailer, The manufacturer did a cheap and crappy job putting it together. Having problems with the springs and trucks having cracks and rust. Needing to weld them back together on a very dangerous highway, no help. Now having to replace the truck, sucks. To old and sick to fix it. The adder needs replaced for the bottom part of it where the screws are cracked the metal and lost the bottom part of it. Sewage issues and had to replace the parts, that's nasty. Leaking of air conditioning vents. Replacing the TV because of the TV mount coming unscrewed during transport. So basically, there's a lot to fix and lots of money to spend on this trailer for having it for only 2 years. Can't wait to get rid of it.
