We purchased a "new" Winnebago Voyage Fifth Wheel (3134RL) in late June 2021. From day one there were many problems (auto leveling system not working, electric water heater not working, interior trim pealing, main TV not working, recliner springs fell apart, broken electrical outlets, master bedroom slide roof seal leaking, the list goes on and on. About 60 days from delivery we noticed water dripping from around the pin box. Long story short....the "new" Fifth Wheel has been at the dealership 6 months (180 plus days). The entire panel under the front of the unit has been removed and replaced (with a defective panel) so it will now need to be removed a second time and another attempt will be made to replace it. After 6 months in repair (could take another several months to get another panel to the dealer) we have been given no estimate of when the repair will be completed. Our RV (we were able to use for 6 weeks) is now a year old, warranty is nearly expired and has been apart/together and will need to come apart at least one more time.....not to mention the costs we have incurred while we have been without the FW. We are retired and have owned several other brands throughout the years (very few minor issues). All of the defects in this FW can be attributed to cheap materials, poor workmanship and non-existent QC. Hopefully our experience will convince others to avoid any Winnebago product.

I was hesitant to buy this RV because I could not find much info.
The floor plan was exactly what we were looking for, and really had no many options, so, we decided for it.
We are mostly stationary with some short traveling.
It handles well on the road, no surprises there.
We have noticed that it cools better than previous RV's, so seems to be well insulated for an RV.
I guess the white glossy helps and looks beautiful, but it gets easily dirty, so you will need extra cleaning.
The master bedroom/primary bath, is common to all the Sabre designs I saw, and I guess they got it right. Spacious with lots of cabinets. The 2nd. AC is a must, as well as the versa bed (reclinable). No complaints there, except for the shower head/faucets that look cheap and are different than the rest.
The main living area fits our needs perfectly, once again with a lot of storage and counter space.
The residential fridge, for our purpose was a must, and work much better than our previous gas/electric ones.
The dining with chairs is much more comfortable and usable than the bench ones, at least for us, and the Recliners are comfortable, although the controls for heating/massage seem to be too sensitive.
The radio/DVD and speakers are subprime, and the TVs that came with it are HORRIBLE.
Furniture is in the low quality side, and paper scratches easily, but is about the same across brands on the price range.
The oven is a little too small, they should have gone with a little bigger one, specially since the microwave is not a convection microwave.
The bunkhouse has good storage space and a huge TV that may be even too big for the room, sacrificing extra storage space.
Outdoors, the placement of the speakers is, from our point of view, wrong, and they are also cheap.
The utilities control is one of the cheapest ones, but gets the job done.
The basement door under the bedroom slide, opens downwards. While some people thinks it is wrong, I love it, it will avoid crushing it if forget to close it before closing slide.
The front steps are solid steps and really nice, but on the rear door steps they went the cheapest possible option, in my case will need upgrade soon.
The outdoor kitchen lacks of a sink. I understand the reason for it but it is missed.
It has 2 fridges, which I think it is an excess. I removed one to have more counter space.
The blue lights everywhere outside (Including kitchen) get annoying and don't help much.
The rear rack is helpful. The spare tire location reduces load capacity. (I will be removing it).
Once you start opening things, you start finding the issues.
Sabre decided to go with flexible PVC reinforced tubes instead of PEX. I guess it saves costs in material and labor and there are less connectors to blow up. (You still use same connectors as PEX) However, this kind of material are susceptible to damage if rubbing against something.
In my case, it rubbed against a screw, and leaked all over the fuse box and converter.
That is the only issue I really have had in 6 months.
Cables are a mess, and all connections really done in a rush.
Once again, this is an overall problem with ALL brands in the price range.
I have owned RVs from all other major manufacturers (2012 Dutchmen Coleman, 2016 Heartland Mallard and 2019 Keystone Cougar), and the Sabre has been the best performer with less issues of all of them, but i did not have major issues with either.
Always remember to have the RV inspected by a pro before buying. I have to highly recommend Sabre

I purchased my brand new trailer on May 22, 2020. Seven weeks later, the entire slide mechanism malfunctioned. I had it at two dealers before I was told I needed to have it taken to the factory for repair. One dealer said they could fix it but the factory wouldn't pay them as it was more cost effective to tow it 1250 miles one way to the nearest Keystone factory. Further, it was three weeks before it was determined it was a factory repair, then to schedule the repair (originally I was told November) I had to wait almost two months before their earliest appointment, which is now September 21, 2020. The factory scheduler told me it was an eight hour job, that's one day, but she could not guarantee the trailer be completed that week and back on the road to me. In fact, I have reservations for a campground on October 7 and was told they "might" not have it back to me by then because they have to give the shipper five days to pick it up and a dealer has to check the repair before it can be delivered to me. That's confidence...they replace the slide mechanism and they think there's a chance it malfunctions on the drive home. Meanwhile, I have been dealing with their so called customer service in Indiana that cannot tell me why this one day job takes almost three months. I have offered to deliver the trailer myself to speed up the process but their offer to compensate me is the cost of diesel, nothing else. So here I sit, surfing the internet, finding more articles about how Thor Industries, Keystone, and Dutchmen has the worst quality control and kicks out the worst products. I wish I found those articles before I bought (in my defense, one was written after I purchased).
https://campersmarts.com/rv-brands-to-avoid-and-why
The other thing I am learning is that Keystone/Dutchmen customer service is also the worst in the industry. There have been many complaints that they don't call you back, they take a long time to resolve your issue, and overall it's just not a pleasant experience. I have tried to reach out to a level higher than the customer service but those people are well trained to protect the GM's and CEO's of the company. DON'T BUY FROM THOR INDUSTRIES! That's my advise.

Purchased new in November 2017. Towed horrible on the way home from dealer - fishtailed for no apparent reason behind our Ram 2500 with a new WD hitch and sway control. First time we hooked it to city water every single connection in the camper leaked, including the connections to the water heater. We fixed those ourselves. Then we noticed the A/C didn't work correctly. Turns out the thermostat was wired incorrectly. The manufacturer walked me through fixing that myself over the phone. The first time we went camping (Fort Wilderness at Disney), the shower drain leaked and flooded the underbelly, ruining the insulation. The shower stall glass enclosure also leaked, ruining the wood sink cabinet and flooding the bathroom and dining area. After three months in the shop, they replaced the bathroom sink cabinet. We took it to an axle shop about the fishtailing and they told us the axle was within specs, but in their opinion way too small for the size and weight of the camper. During our camping trip this past Memorial Day weekend, we noticed the wall behind the kitchen sink had moved about an inch away from the counter. We took it in for repairs under our structural warranty but they never got to it by the time we needed it for our Labor Day camping trip. While driving at about 60 mph on the interstate, someone ignored a merge lane and cut directly in front of us requiring us to hit the brakes hard to avoid a collision. The camper fishtailed for about four seconds, which was terrifying. After we got it under control, we noticed the camper tires were smoking like they were on fire. We pulled into the emergency lane thinking we had a blowout. Instead, we noticed that the entire suspension system had collapsed and the camper floor was resting on top of the four tires. We had not hit anything. That camping trip was over before it started. We had to have it towed, which was a nightmare because the wheels on the camper wouldn't rotate and we had to wait for them to bring in special equipment. This week, our insurance company called and told us that the frame and suspension damage is so severe they will total it. We got our full purchase price back, minus a $500 deductible. It was a very upsetting and stressful experience but probably a blessing in disguise. I reported the incident to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. I also sent an email to Cruiser RV but they have not responded. We're looking at new campers this weekend but will stay away from all brands related to Cruiser RV.

Before we decided to build our retirement home next year, we decided to purchase a second RV for living purposes on the family farm. We have enjoyed our first RV purchase in 2021, a new Heartland Bighorn Traveler 5th wheel with minimal issues. So we went into this second purchase with great expectations. But reality, like a large hat-pin, punctured that hope with acuity that has been both a physical and mental anguish.
We now wish we had waited on this second purchase. The Vibe 3400XL floor plan is a good one, rear kitchen and easy pulling 2 plusses. But the little things that happened every day drove us to the edge of buyer's remorse.
On the first day we found out that extending the awning all the way prevented the entry door from opening all the way with pushing it into and past the awning. The awning also went over the slide-out and rested on it, worrying us that the contact on the sharp corner would wear a hole in that part of the awning. The only way to avoid the door issue was to pull the bracket down on the slide side for water drainage, but it still rested on the slide. The service specialist at the dealer we bought it from later told us we had the awning out too far. Huh? Isn't that what an awning is for, to extend and cover/protect as much area as possible?
Next, when inside going to sit in the theater chairs, we felt as though the slides were tilted down slightly; a level proved us correct. The service specialist claimed this not true when his mechanic checked it.
Having new stuff stacked everywhere and hungry, we sat on the bar chairs at the nicely elevated island to eat, and nearly fell over. Both bar chairs where horribly unbalanced and wobbling so badly that we thought we were sitting in rocking chairs.
Then, we opened the newly installed washer to do a load of clothes and discovered 4 items of wet clothing already in there! So, in the dryer they went. The dryer started, then stopped after a few minutes, then started up again, then stopped...you get the idea. This happened on every cycle we tried, with nothing else on in the RV, while plugged in to 50-amp shore power. Nor breakers popped either. Service mechanic response? Can't duplicate.
The washer has a coin slot on the bottom to open and remove any debris, but only after pulling the rubber tube out to drain any excess water. Did that, tube dry, opened the coin slot plug and woosh! A tidal wave of water came out! Both times we washed a load. And the dryer continued to start and stop...
Next, my wife is cleaning the floor in front of the beverage cooler. And what did she see? Two deep grooves cut into the flooring. Service specialist said later that two screws, too long on the cooler had cut into the floor as it was pushed into the hole under the counter.
Next - I'm back at work and my wife is staying in this new RV by herself, and after she retires to the bed, it starts raining out, a nice steady rain. After a couple of hours, much to her horror, she sees a trickle of water coming into the track on the floor, then pooling onto the floor by the washer/dryer closet. The service specialist "could not duplicate" again, so I suggested they check the water lines. They found that the hot water shut off for the washer was broken, and letting water leak into the track and floor.
Well, the last slap in the face was when my son hooked up to the RV to take it back to the dealership for all this service, and he found one of the tires was flat. He aired it up, took it 65 miles to the dealership without further issue, and they, repeat after me, "could not duplicate."
These mechanical defects happened all in the first 13 days of use. We asked for a buyback; the dealership refused. We asked for the entire floor to be replaced since the factory worker tore it up; Forest River refused.
I would not buy another travel trailer from Forest River. The floor plan was good with tons of counter space, a coffee bar, and windows everywhere. But based on our experience in less than two weeks, no. Will this happen with other Forest River brands? Don't know and we aren't going to find out since we will not purchase from them again.
