Where to begin. Bought in early 2015. So many problems that ended up taking to Elkhart Indiana for work. Over $8000.00 later we still have problems. There is no quality control when producing this product. Not only the camper is poor quality but the norelco refrigerator had to be replaced and the couches are showing wear and we are not fulltimers. The front cup had to be replaced so after only a year it is showing oxidation. We have had 5 Forest River products and never have had these kind of problems. I live in my RV while working on the road and been doing this since 1999. I bought this Sanibel from dealer in Fl. had no problems with dealer. Here is a list of things that I have had or having go wrong and the RV is only 2 1/2 years old. 1) Roof leaked around A/C in living room, 2 Heater switch went out in the middle of winter, 3) Trim falling down, 4) Living room slide motors hade to be replaced, 5) Auto level control board had to be replaced, 6) water heater quite working on electric, 7) Roof leak in the slide, had to have floor replaced in slide. Did not know roof was leaking until floor about to fall out. 8) A/C in bedroom not working, 9) The front end cap is leaking and the paint is fading, 10) Toilet leaking, 11) 3 of the 4 factory tires on it has blown out causing damage, 12) window leaking in slide, 13) Leak around shower door, 14) Hydraulic hose to jack had be replaced, 15) Electric vents would not open or close. I repaired some of these items and the Dealer and Prime repaired some. Point is this RV is only 2 years old and it is falling apart. DO NOT BUY A PRIME TIME RV they are JUNK. Show less

We purchased our Sanibel in November 2014 at Campers Inn in Leesburg Fl. It was the exact floor plan we had been looking for. After camping in it for 3 nights we found some things that needed to be fixed. We took it back to Leesburg in January and they replaced a ceiling fan that was not installed properly and did a couple of minor repairs. They recommended that we take it to Campers Inn in Mocksville NC for the remainder of the work because we would be in NC for the summer and Leesburg did not have enough time to order parts and do the repairs before we left. In April we took it to Mocksville and left it for 3 weeks and no repairs were done. It fell through the cracks on getting parts ordered. By the way one of the parts was another fan since the last one was also not installed properly. We picked it up without the work being done because we had a 3 week trip planned. While on our trip we blew 2 new Good Year tires and tore up the side of the camper. Took camper back to Mocksville June 16 and still no warranty parts. By this time we had more to add to be fixed. Good Year agreed to pay for damages and replaced all the tire. It stayed in Mocksville until the end of August to get the repairs done. Still had 2 more warranty issues to be done but they had to get approvals. We took the camper to the beach in September and returned with 13 more items to be fixed including another bad fan. Took the camper back to Mocksville on September 29 and it is still there. The front cap on the camper is bad. It is 2 different colors and not shiny. Roger at Prime Time says you can't see it in the pictures so it is not covered. We are at the end of our rope over this camper. We were told after we bought it that Forest River who built it is hard to deal with. Too late we find this out. We should have stayed with Jayco. Never had any problems with them. They seem to care more about their customers. Forest River seems to throw these campers together and too bad you are stuck with it. Show less

We really like the layout and the quality of the structure itself. However, the finishes and the quality of the materials that are used are very very poor. Doors falling off, drawers not aligned, screws coming loose and falling out, screws in the control panel area were screwed into plumbing, cables not installed properly, satellite into the cable and vice versa. Slide screws coming out, shower door leaked because they did not caulk when it was installed. The installers should be fired. I have a 3 page list of poorly installed items. I sent the list to Forest River...no response. General RV is as piss poor as they come as well. The sales process was awesome and then it went downhill from there. They took more than a year to fix all the problems, then the manufacturer denied the the claims that were reported a week after delivery because the one year warranty period had expired because General RV took that long to fix the defects. I am still waiting on parts from 2 years ago. I will not buy another Prime Time (Forest River) Sanibel again. Drawers installed poorly, They were not aligned and wont close all the way. Doors coming off, and I noticed about half the hinges are loose and had to be tightened. Wine cooler, built in, not supposed to be. Poor ventilation, panel screwed onto frame missed 2 of the 4 screws. Had to remove panel because the thermostat is on the back side of the unit and not accessible. This should be installed on hinges in order to access the thermostat. Ice maker not hooked up. No water line was run to the back side or even near the refrigerator slide out. I installed it myself and it works great. Cables were installed improperly for the satellite and cable tv. The orange cable and black cable were switched. I was able to take care of this myself. Screws used to fasten the cable tv connector to the panel were too long. One of them was protruding into the plumbing fitting on the back side of the panel. Screws used in the control panel where water and cable tv hook-ups are located, are rusting within a week of purchase. This is an area that is wet often and stainless screws should have been used. I replaced the sub standard screws with stainless. Fireplace rotating flame has stopped working on the very first camping trip. There is no manual for the fireplace and no remote control. Screws were protruding through the floor in the bedroom closet. Whatever was being fastened to the underside, the screws were too long. This injured me and I could only use a hammer to force the screw back through the floor because it could not be accessed from underneath. Frosted glass in cabinet doors is easily damaged causing holes to appear in the glass. This should be protected with a film or plastic sheet to prevent frosted effect from damage from items rubbing against it. A lot of things move in an rv. First trip caused damage on bedroom door and on pantry door. Shower leaks, caulk needs to be used at each end because water in the door tray travels to each end and then finds its way underneath the metal, then travels to the front and falls to the floor along the front edge. Screen door screws came out of latch. Would not hold after trying to re tighten. Had to use bigger screws and glue to hold in place. There was also a lot of debris under the furniture or behind it that is difficult to clean because we don’t have a vacuum attachment long enough to get to it. The furniture is fastened to the floor. No corner trim on bottom edge of kitchen cabinets above stove top range. Rough edges are visible and cheap looking. The closet clothes rod was installed way too close to the door. There was about four inches of clearance and a standard hanger has at least 8 inches, so if you hang clothes up, you can’t close the doors. Screws are coming loose and falling out on the large bedroom slide trim, and the fender trim. Show less
