Overall it’s been enjoyable with a few problems , kitchen sink faucet was leaking and no one caught it until it destroyed the cabinet face this was replaced under warranty , cabinets nick easy, but my main complaint is my dinette cushions , because you use propane for cooking and heating it creates moisture , and I do use a humidifier and damp rid it helps a lot but you need to wipe the slide out walls and cushions which right around a year it seems like the cushion material is rotting , so look at yours close because they won’t warranty them and it’s over 500.00 plus shipping and you have to replace all cushions , this is most disappointing because the company and unit seems to be one of the best on the market

I just had Fowler in Red Bay paint correction and ceramic the Bus with awesome results. The unit has always had an annual maintenance at Appalachian Foothills. . I have gone overboard in maintenance. I just had all tanks cleaned by Bobby in RedBay. I have always kept the tires covered and on mats. 3 details a year along with plenty of interim cleaning and wax. Unit has been located outside of trips at Talona Ridge RV Resort in Ellijay Ga, so it had be clean! Just had Nick install the outside tv swivel mount in Red Bay and Fowler do the outside keypad cover. Genny has 350 hours. Unit’s mileage is 9,654. Safe-T-Plus and MCU’s have been installed. Exhaust fan covers were installed on all 3 fans. Unit has 3 solar cells.

From the start it are experience was not good. Towing lights didn't work and we had to wait over 3 hours for them to be repaired. We were promised a lead acid battery In lieu of lithium ion, but it wasn't provided. 1st night sleeping, the converted table/bed collapsed. The water system had froze at some point prior to picking it up, the faucet knob had popped off, the screen filter at the pump was cracked and leaked all over the place, the water tank vent hose was kinked in 2 places and I had to fill the tank with an eye dropper (figure of speech). The 12vdc system didn't work, the refrigerator didn't work on propane, due to the supply line being twisted like a pretzel. The wifi smart system didn't work and I had to spend hours on the phone and emails to get it to sort of work. The canopy install was never completed. When I called the owner/operator Nick, and informed him of all the issues, all I got was a "sorry". Not a, send me the receipts for the repairs or anything even close. The concept of the rv is great, however the quality, quality control and company pride is non-existent . I wouldn't recommend purchasing this rv to anyone.

"Horribly disappointed"
I had searched the rv scene for a while looking on some pretty particular features. I knew I wanted a Diesel engine, a couch rather than a dinette and a slide out the side so I could put a dirt bike on the back of the rv. I found the 2017 Gemini TB and it fit the bill. It is a purchase that I deeply regret as I have been very disappointed. The overall construction is extremely cheap. Multiple cabinet doors and a tv have fallen off their mountings just from road vibration. The hot water heater works 1 out every 5 times I try to use it. The unit came to me damaged with a broken valence and a dented ladder. The dealership ordered the parts months ago and they still haven't arrived from Thor. The bed support is incredibly cheap and flimsy. Other dealers had told me that Thor was cheap construction and I thought that would mean it just wouldn't have some of the nice fixtures that a Winnie or higher end brand would have. I didn't realize it would mean that it would literally fall apart while driving. At 10,000 miles and 6 months the rig seems more ready for retirement than repair.

I have enjoyed my FR Surveyor 252RBLE thoroughly. The layout works well for me. Some tweaks will have to be made, but over all a winner on all counts. The cabinet door handles have sharp edges, not dangerous but definitely will nick your shins, especially the ones under the dinette, I’ll replace them this winter. The AC is loud, with recent products that are quieter and more efficient, I’ll upgrade that. The thermostat isn’t accurate, and I’ll upgrade that as well. I upgraded the mattress, but that seems to be a standard upgrade in the RV world anyway. The layout is GREAT! I can access the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen with the slide in, no problem at all. The rear facing recliner chairs have a great set up to relax. Plenty of counter space, and efficient storage in the kitchen area. The hanging closet and storage in the bathroom are great too, especially in addition to the already well designed bedroom storage. The vacuum is load, but works VERY well, and helps maintain a tidy space. The pantry storage area is huge, and in the exact right place. The outdoor ‘kitchen’ area is great, with a propane line and water all in one area. I did some updates out there, as I won’t use the small fridge, so I added an ice maker, and a ninja oven / air fryer thing. I haven’t had any issues towing, but I’m not an experienced RV-er yet, more to follow!

We purchased our Solitude late last July 2023. It had several issues that needed repair. The Solitude was purchased new over 6 figures. After multiple phone calls, emails, and texts we finally picked up our Solitude on November 13, 2023. They didn’t clean the unit inside or outside.
We plugged into shore power and everything seemed to be working great. One of the issues was the replacement of one refrigerator door and the freezer drawer. Upon leaving Oklahoma for Florida I discovered that the ice maker wouldn’t work. Upon investigation it had water in the reservoir but wouldn’t freeze. I also noticed that $200 worth of frozen beef had begun to thaw. The reason as I soon discovered was that the seals were missing on the two doors your company replaced.
The level of incompetence you guys display just keeps on giving! 4 months of it now.
The bed was never repaired. I’m not sure what was going on when you were making the repairs but the island has gouges and marks all over it. I’m guessing when whomever brought in the replacement recliners they did it.
Russell (Service Advisor) is the only person I dealt with that showed any professionalism. He apologized for the delay many times. He was also extremely courteous.
Nick (Sales Manager) also displayed a desire to help us.
Alex made the sale and forgot about us, real nice!
Jason (Service Manager) is worthless. He never made one followup call to advise us of any progress. Actually no one made any attempt to give us status updates. I had to demand to see him to get anything accomplished. In fact I had to show up in person because other forms of communication didn’t work. Again worthless.
I will never do business with McClains again, ever. I’ve purchased two Grand Designs from your store. Thank goodness the Imagine never had any issues.
Grand Design has a great product. So if you want to purchase one go out of state.

I bought a new 2018 Prolite Eco travel trailer from Longhaul trailer sales in Listowel Ontario from salesman Nick Shantz on April 15, 2019. On April 18 I Isent pictures of a bulge in the fiberglass, spider cracks, delamination, rust underneath and wrinkled interior paper to the manufacturer and to the dealership that sold me this trailer. The manufacturer never responded and the dealer told me to use epoxy glue on the spider cracks and that the rest was cosmetic. On the first camping trip three weeks later I had leaking and when I took it to be repaired I was told that the sealant was missing ,separating and deteriorating along the seams and running lights. Three months later I was reimbursed for the spider cracks but not for the sealant. The manufacturer believes it was the responsibility of the dealership to maintain this trailer while it was in their possession. I also found out there had been two previous claims made to repair delamination on this trailer and the dealership never told me that. The manufacturer has since asked me to take this trailer to a fiberglass repair expert in my area and I did and their opinion is that the damage is extensive and that it should be sent back to the factory in Canada as they believe this is the result of leaking. I tried to get the owner of Prolite Martin James to call me back because no one was able to make a decision with regards to what should be done next. It took a month and for me to go on social media in order to get that call and as of today Martin James told me I would have to drive it back to the factory 1800 miles from me. Still hoping for a better solution. One that does not put the burden on me the customer.
