Bought A Lance Camper brand new , took it out once to discover all the problems with it. The workmanship and quality control from Lance is horrible! It’s all warranty, however it’s been at the dealer for a month, long story short I bought a brand new camper that was not usable they took my money and sent me out with a POS .So here I sit with no camper waiting for them to fix their problems I’ll never buy another Lance ever again. Screw me once, shame on you. Screw me twice shame on me.

The lance 920 is very well built and it has a good floor plan. This is the third Lance that we have owned and all of them have served us well. We have used this camper in all types of weather including way-below-freezing weather in Utah and had no problems. Lots of storage areas. After all the years of ownership it still looks near new.

Picked up my new truck camper on October 22, 2019. November 20, 2019 we had torrential rains here in Los Angeles and my camper sprung 3 LARGE leaks...by large they were all three leaking like a very small faucet. I IMMEDIATELY drove to my dealer and he and his crew spent 4 hours fixing the problems. I was told I wouldn't have problems. 45 days later I was in Pismo Beach and torrential rains hit yet again. One of the old leaks that was "fixed" leaked again and I mean like a small faucet had been turned on and a new leak over my bed. Two days later I dumped the truck camper on the dealers lot and I said 'gimme all 35,000 dollars back'. He gave me a song and dance. I then drove to the CEO of Lance Camper in Lancaster, California. I explained my problem and I had a check for 35,000 in two weeks. MY HUGE LEAKS were #1. bathroom vent #2. vent over the kitchennette #3. vent over the bed. NEVER AGAIN LANCE!

We bought the 2020 Lance 850 after much studying and reading reviews for RV truck campers. We had a travel trailer we were happy with for 3 years, but wanted something with a smaller footprint. A truck camper seemed just right. There is nowhere in our area which sells truck campers, so we drove 3 1/2 hours to the nearest dealer. The Lance expert there seemed quite knowledgeable and was helpful. We made the purchase and drove the 3 1/2 hours back home. Our first trip was planned for that week - to Vancouver, WA. I made food in advance, as the refrigerator in this model is not small, and we turned on the refrigerator the night before our journey, as we had always done in our previous camper. Unfortunately, the refrigerator never reached a temperature lower than 50 degrees, which will not keep food from spoiling. A call to the dealership was not helpful. We left anyway and made our trip. Since then, we have added 3 fans ourselves and now are comfortable with the cooling. About 6 months ago, we noticed water on the floor - we had not used the camper in a few months. We discovered it was coming from moisture around the fans and skylights in the ceiling. We called the dealership and ended up having to take it for repair - requiring two 7 hour round trip journeys. So far, the leaks seem to be repaired; however, they could not get the rust removed from the ceiling around each window. We have also had to repair: the faucet in the kitchen (we replaced it as it was leaking underneath the sink); the shade on the back door fell off and we have rigged it back on; the brackets on the awning have fallen off and one is still missing; the hot water tank sprang a leak and we have to replace it. We never had any problems with our Forest River trailer and thought we were trading "up" to Lance. We cannot, however, recommend this camper

I saved all my life to buy a new camper and I thought Lance was one of the top of the line. It started with poor service at the dealer and has become a nightmare ever since. I'll go down the list of things that broke. First the rear left Jack did not work properly took it in twice for repair was told there was nothing wrong with it it's still ratchets and does not work properly to this day next trip out the molding around the stove fell off the molding around the slide out started falling off I took it in for warranty they used in air nailer and left holes in the trim .the awning broke on the slide out the RV lock broke after 2 years and have to be replaced the first time I use the outside shower the lines blew off and sprayed water everywhere in that compartment. After 2 years the decals are falling off. The inside sliding garbage can fell apart and needs to be replaced. One of the window blinds fell apart the shelf above the sink fell off. I've had problems with two or three of the doors not closing properly. The exterior door has never worked right it has to be slammed real hard in order to close. CO2 smoke detector failed after 2 years. The carpet is fraying and starting to come loose in different parts around the slide out in floor the kitchen faucet broke I replaced it twice it had the same problem. The quality control of the Lance camper is definitely subpar they look good but they fall apart fast. I would stay away from Lance until they get a handle on their quality control

Our Lance 1575 has been with the dealer for warranty repairs more than we’ve owned it. Premium brand, premium price, lousy quality and lousy service. Our four season camper has become a no season camper. If there was a lemon law for campers we would exercise that option and get rid of it. Sky light leak lead to roof problems, stove top burners fell apart, power awning was installed incorrectly, big ass fan fell apart. Kitchen faucet broke on first trip, outside shower had poor water pressure, refrigerator had loose wiring. Enough already. Going on 4 months in the shop and have no idea when repairs will be done. Look elsewhere.

We have owned our Lance since new. Using a truck camper has the versatility to tow or remove and have a standard vehicle to service rather than an expensive RV. This unit has superior quality and design. The slide includes the fridge and dinette leaving the entire size of the trucks bed as floor space. The forward restroom is also a great space saver. As with all standard RV the roof is the issue. A new one was required and the skylight was closed to keep less opening for future leaks. Otherwise no problems. This is the best unit we have seen to date and compared to others there's no comparison.

Truck has 7.5 V-8. New cost of truck and camper was over $41,000 !! The camper is a Lance Squire 9000 model, this was the top of the line model, that has lots of extras on it !! Reason I'm selling is due to a passing of my wife !! Unit was only used about 5 times. The truck has a towing package on it. We towed a Jeep behind it, with no problems towing it. Even average 15 MPG. I sold the Jeep. Would like to see this unit, goes to someone, who would really enjoy it!!

BUYER BEWARE -so is airstream another american corporation gone by the wayside, living off its past reputation? because I sure am not impressed; I thought we were buying a quality item... boy, was I wrong... our Lance camper never had a problem in years of Az summer heat/sun -pending further review due to multiple post sale problems -missing parts, ALL laminate (every laminated item (EVERY) with sticky backing)falling off (EVERYTHING) -within one week of buying? ... ($100,000 2017 airstream) -makes you question the integrity of the manufacturer. -and now(get this); it is "my" "warranty" problem...-so nice! -do you EVER think for 1 minute I would have bought a new $100K airstream had I know of the at least 12 pending factory issues of this unit? -ya gotta be kidding me . -another complaint to BBB BUYER BEWARE

We just bought a 2018 Lance 1685 MSRP $38000! It has been nothing but problems. The are so behind in producing campers that their is no quality control. First we bought a new 2017 1685 from dealer in Poncha Springs, CO. One week out the awning & slide out failed due to incorrect installation. They replaced with a 2018. bathroom fan leaking due to poor installation, they drilled the screw through roof, water is leaking through the screw hole,Fantastic fan leaks because they did not properly prep roof before applying sealant tape.Table base wobbles, cargo doors won't stay closed when driving ,Decal on crooked, stove backsplash improper installed ,Hot water heater blow off valve leaking when reaching temp, Foam on door handle ripped, and the front hitch was damaged when moving around yard. We have only had this camper 7 weeks. Very disappointed in the quality of their work. Not worth the $$. Wish we had bought a OUTDOOR RV
