Terrible workmanship. Owned it two weeks. Took it to the dealership where I made the purchase for warranty work. The two major issues were denied. Bad roof install (staples protruding into the rubber membrane) and wiring issues. I was told the issues were typical and didn't qualify for warranty. I would not recommend this manufacturer(Keystone RV) to ANYONE.

Overall a good trailer, purchased in Oct 2017,so it's a 2018 model 398 king sweet. Some issues so far are: Front nose cap was flexing so bad the paint was cracking and a spider web effect. Mike Thompson rv had to remove and found that keystone never reinforced with fiberglass resin. The front entry door contacts upper corner causing closing issues. Not covered under warranty even though keystone has a 3yr exterior warranty from sept 2017 and on, my trailer is a 2018 built in June of 2017 so they deny warranty even though purchased in Oct of 2017. Thanks keystone!! The vinyl has started peeling off both bath room doors, 1 with shower,1 without. Not covered under warranty Week relay in leveling system malfunctioned, not covered under warranty, 350.00 to fix. $6.00 part. Ouch! Other than the issues stated, it's so far a good trailer. Just have to be a handyman to fix minor problems the arise. The chassie seems good, good breaking etc. Lol. Hopefully this helps.

There is a reason Keystone doesn't have a user review web page. Here is my story: I purchased a 2018 Keystone Cougar 26-RVS in March 26, 2018 with a 1 year bumper to bumper warranty and with several other protections plans offered by Camping World. Our trailer cost over 40K. With new products such as this, there are most often issues that would fall under a warranty. Early in 2018 we saw some items like that and our dealer got the approval from Keystone and those issues were resolved. However, there were some more issues that were discovered late in the year so I set up an appointment to bring it in for some final warranty work late December or early January. I hooked the unit up like usual and began to pull it. It was a bit stiff but I thought that it was from sitting. About 1 &1/2 miles down the road a truck driver said my RV tires were smoking. I pull over immediately and called our dealer. They said I should be covered and to call my Good Sam roadside that I paid for. It took the tech about 1.5 to 2hr to resolve the issue, because we thought the breaks locked up. Now a new warranty issue. What had happened was the emergence break-release pin unit on the RV became defective so the RV engaged the RV breaks. Because I pulled the trailer about 1.5 to 2 miles with the RV breaks engaged it burned out the break drums. Once we got the pin to work I pulled the RV to CW. A warranty issue was submitted and was turned down by Keystone citing user error. I want to add that Keystone reps were very rude. I did all I could and our dealer did try to adjust the price to help and they made several attempts to resolve with Keystone, but they took a very hard line. I did suggest to my dealer they should either stop selling Keystone products or explain to customers the possibility of total lack of cooperation with Keystone. I was told by another dealer that Keystone is not honoring some simple warranty issues as they had in the past. I believed that in my case I had no liability and I pleaded with my dealer and Keystone (customer service SUCKS!). I even called and left a message with Marcus Lemonis CEO of Camping World, but I never got a response. My adjusted bill came to close to $500. I went to pick up my trailer April 19. I talked to the service manager and he agreed with me that this was not user error and he adjusted my bill. My dealer Camping World absorbed the financial burden that should have been the liability of Keystone. I recommend not purchasing Keystone products because there could be uncovered warranty issues. You can see from the other reviews that this company doesn't give a S... Although this is a beautiful RV, I will probably never purchase an RV from this company again unless they adjust their policies!

As with all new RV's, there will be problems and issues and our Montana 305 RL was no exception. Many annoyance quality problems (from day one) that I was able to fix and a few major issues that the dealer had to fix. Overall, we love the floor plan and livability, but not happy campers with Keystone quality! A Montana is supposed to be one of the upper lines of Keystone, yet you'd never know it based on the issues. To be fair to Keystone and especially my awesome dealer, they've been great so far in fixing all the issues, but it is the shear number of issues and inconvenience that is deeply concerning. Now that we've worked through most of the common factory quality issues (most were well-known by Keystone, yet they don't address them at the factory), we're finally able to enjoy the trailers after 2 years of defect discovery and repairs. I often Joke, you want to be 2nd owner of a newer RV. The first owner has to deal with all the factory bugs and warranty repairs.

We have had a few warranty issues on our NEW 2022 Cougar 22MLS travel trailer. KEYSTONE covered most, but declined to cover a big gap between the driver’s side front window frame and the interior paneling up to 16″ long and you could stick your hand in all the way from bottom to top. Had RV service center and myself submit for approval to Keystone and was denied. Keystone claims that 16″ panel gap is “within Factory Spec” non-warranty issue. I said, what about the passenger side that is tight and has no gap between frame and paneling? Shouldn’t driver’s side be seamless too? Nope, gap is within factory spec. Not one $ will be spent on KEYSTONE brands when we look for another trailer to purchase.

We purchased a 2017 cougar xlite 28rks. My wife and I really impressed with the outside kitchen. First issue we had was the dealership where we bought the camper from went out of business. Closest dealer did not do warranty work on keystone products. We noticed a lot of issues from the get go. Air conditioner not cooling properly, Slides out of adjustments, battery would not hold charge, outside door key broke first time using it, outside kitchen leaked water(destroyed all the shelving ect..) Floor bounces badly when you walk near bedroom, refrigerator froze everything. Finally another dealer opened up and did honor keystone warranty. Keystone would only fix refrigerator, outside kitchen inside, replaced key and lock. That was it. I got it back from dealer after 3rd time, outside kitchen still leaked and another leaked developed. Leaked into back bedroom inside the dresser and above door. Of coarse out of warranty to get fixed. The bouncing is my problem dealer said they all do that and keystone said no issues. I had to bring to another dealer to get outside kitchen to stop leaking into bedroom and door leak fixed. The dealership told me it was one of roof joints seal was missing. I still have one slide that is out of adjustment that I will have to get fixed and replace battery myself. I did ask keystone for my money back and they refused to respond back to me and about any our issues. Its is poorly made. I will never buy another one again.

Do not buy anything from this company. They are under Keystone RV. Purchased the camper end of 2014. Took possession of the camper in April due to issues that needed to be fixed including a leak and 2 bubbles in the linoleum. One located in the bunk room. In 2015 took it back to the dealer to have more issues resolved. Major issues, gas leaks, sulfur smells coming from the gray tank, uneven flooring in the bunk room, stove burners not working, ceiling bulging. Fast forward to July 2017, bunkhouse floor has rotted out due to a manufacturing defect. Keystone has refused to take responsibility to their defect. They just state it out of warranty. Never have I been treated so unfairly. So please don't spend your money on an inferior product made under Keystone.

Bought this 2011 Montana at the end of the model yr. so it is one yr. less used than the model yr. indicates. Have had nothing but trouble with this rv. Air conditioner issues from the start, have had back to dealership eight times for ac issues. Finally installed a new ac, but guess what? Was after warranty ran out, after assuring me if it failed it would be under warranty since it had trouble from day one, it was replaced under the extended warranty I had purchased, dealer who I bought it from, who I took back to eight times, had no memory of the promise they had made to stand behind the original warranty. Dump valve issues, ran sewage onto to campsite, after telling and having dealership look at the leakage problem three times. Hot water tank issues. Started smelling wires burning when heater kicked on, found wiring melting at a factory connection, if had been away, rv would probably have burned. Fixed it the correct way myself. RV is stored in a totally enclosed storage when not in use, we use it about 10 weeks a year, April 1 - October. I am a maintainence fanatic, decals discoloring on both ends, called Keystone, sorry past 1 yr warranty. Have two leather look recliners sitting side by side. One still looks good, the other is cracking and splitting. Called Keystone, sent pictures they requested of both recliners. Sorry, past 1 yr warranty. Noticed carpet wet in corner of main slide after a rain, thinking I had a sealing issue with one of the windows close to that corner. Sorry, past the 1 yr warranty, and extended warranty will not cover either per dealer, says it is a maintainence issue. As stated before, rv stays inside when not in use and I personally maintain exceptionally well myself. Keystone had very good products, but after the Fenech brother sold out their products are substandard. Bought this rv to enjoy during retirement. Spend most of the stays in it repairing the piece of junk. If I am ever able to afford to get rid of this piece of junk I will never own anything made by Keystone again, and I tell everyone I get a chance to about how sorry Keystone and their products are.
