May 3rd of this year, we bought our first camper together. I've owned a camper in the past. After shopping around, we like the layout of the Springdale 1860SS so we purchased it. Less than a week at home, we had to take it back to the RV Center we bought it from due to the slide out locking up and wouldn't go out. Long story short, they replaced the whole Lippert Schwintek slide system due to the bottom roller breaking which messed up the gear and rail. The best part is, it took almost 2 MONTHS to get the parts to repair it with. Never will I buy a Keystone product again and will do my best to stay away from Lippert parts.

The slide door would not close all the way and the siding was bowing out while traveling down the road
Wall plugs were not secured and we can go on and on with problems
We returned it to be repaired by the distributor Crestview, its been there since July and nothing has been done.
They said they would have to get with the distributor because the RV was so badly built that it was going to take basically a complete rebuild. They said they would have to get with the manufacturer and hope that they would uphold their warranty.
Now they are not returning our calls
I would love to return and get my money back because I was sold a lemon.
Do not, I warn, do not buy a Springdale Keystone RV

I am writing this review regarding my Keystone Springdale Mini 2024 BH 1800, as I believe these concerns should be brought to the manufacturer’s attention.
While I was initially excited about this camper, my experience has been disappointing. Shortly after purchase, we encountered an issue with water leaking inside the unit. We were later informed after seeking a second opinion that the problem was caused by a misrouted valve/tube that should have been directing water outside of the camper but was instead draining inside. This appears to be either an installation or quality control issue, not normal wear and tear.
In addition, the table inside the camper has been loose since the time of purchase. When we brought this to the attention of Campers Inn RV, they refused to repair it because we are now outside of the warranty period. However, this defect existed at the time of sale, and due to timing and inexperience as new campers, we were not able to address it sooner.
Given these circumstances, I believe both issues the improperly installed valve and the loose table should be corrected at no cost. These are not issues caused by usage, but rather by initial setup and build quality.
I would appreciate Keystone reviewing this situation and standing behind the quality of its product by ensuring these defects are properly addressed.

We bought this RV new in Utah on a Saturday while on a well planned family vacation. Unfortunately, before leaving the dealer, the underbelly was flooded by a break in the water tank fill hose. My daughter had a college visit appointment to get to in Arizona on Monday, so we took deliver damaged, knowing that the dealer could not fix until Monday at best. We spent the evening and following Sunday trying to access the broken water line from below per the dealer’s technician recommendation. This was unfortunately not possible. All the while water drained out of the saturated insulation, reminding me of the permanent damage this caused. After 12 hours of that nonsense, trying to access from below, I removed the fireplace and cut a hole in the floor to replace the broken water fill hose, which was a good approach to the repair. We continued on our trip Saturday night. On Monday we lost all trailer braking power coming down a mountain pass. After a life threatening roller coaster ride and overheated truck brakes we made it to the bottom. We stressfully drove on through the valley floors without trailer brakes to get to the college appointment on time. After quite some time troubleshooting, I determined that the brakes had failed due to over greasing of the wheel bearings from the factory. The brake drum assemblies and brake pads were saturated with shiny-new red bearing grease from blown out axle seals from the over greasing hydraulic pressure. All 4 of them were ruined. I replaced all 4 brakes on my unit that day. Sigh. As the trip continued I spent another 9.5 hours thereafter working on various broken parts such as leaking shower caulking, failed pop out seals, a broken propane tank replacement, a broken toilet seat, a hole in the pop out roof from construction debris, holes in the “sealed” underbelly you could put a hand through, broken stabilizer jacks, a broken cook stove part, fallen shades (stripped screw holes), loose fridge cabinet panels, broken cabinet doors, and the list goes on and on.
I presented my issues to Outdoors RV service manager at their factory, in a comprehensive report with photographs snd receipts. They got Dexter Axle to cover the brake parts cost (around $450), and they agreed to pay for the toilet seat, propane tank, and waterline parts (around $200). The labor reimbursement was left as a “possibility” of reimbursement (would be an exception to their policy). When I received the check there was no labor reimbursement and the propane tank reimbursement was also omitted. I contacted Outdoors RV and they apologized for missing the propane tank reimbursement and said they would send it (not received as of yet, a couple months after the new purchase issues. Hopefully they will send it soon). They also informed me that they would not be able to reimburse me for fair shop labor rates for the waterline issue, or the brake replacement, as I had requested, as they would not make an exception to their policy.
I dealt with a lot of problems on a brand new and very expensive camper trailer. All I asked for labor reimbursement on was the 2 biggest and most unacceptable problems: the water line flood repair, and the brake failure. Instead, Outdoors RV only provided under $200 for all these issues… for the waterline parts and a toilet seat, as Dexter Axle paid for the brake parts, not Outdoors RV.
In the first few days of ownership I spent thousands of dollars to repair this new RV (including the tools needed to do it).
In the first few days of ownership this new RV nearly killed my entire family when the brakes gave out on a winding mountain pass.
In the first few days of ownership this new RV took up around 40 hours of my precious, rare, vacation time. And that cannot be replaced.
I owned a Keystone Springdale of similar size for 9 years prior to this, and even lived in it for an Alaska winter. I paid about 300% more for this Outdoors RV than I did for that Keystone, and yet I had more problems with the Outdoors RV in the first few days of ownership than I did in all the years of ownership with the Keystone.
Though the Outdoors RV service manager was kind and professional, I am sorely disappointed with the Outdoors RV quality control, and the “resolution” to my warranty claim. I will not likely buy another Outdoors RV in the future. I’ll buy another Keystone instead.

This is the first and the last 5th wheel We will ever purchase from the dealership we bought from. Bought it brand new in April 2015. couldn't even pick it up on time since they drove away with the front jacks down which had to be replaced and left the propane cylinder door open and the wind bent the door, which was replaced. On the day of pick up dealer pulled away with it still plugged in and yes a new one had to be installed. Once all items were fixed on that day, drove home and as we got close to our house almost 2 hrs away we lost all brakes. My husband got under truck and they had shorted out the emergency brakes on our truck while hooking up the wiring for the 5th wheel hitch. Once again we had to have our mechanic in town fix it and send the $160.00 bill to the dealership we bought from for payment by them. The Customer Service is the worst. Went camping June 10, when packing up to go home had to have neighbors come help push our slide in on our brand new trailer. We had mentioned to dealer that the slide does not close all the way, they said they can't do anything unless it is leaks. Nice thought isn't it, to have a brand new trailer that leaks. Finally on July 25 we took the trailer to dealership for repairs, toilet that leaks, bathroom vent that leaks , bathtub that leaks antenna handle that falls off and most of all the slide that won't open or close all the way. They do not communicate with you at all, do not answer emails or phone calls. We finally called them on August 26 and said we are taking trailer to go away Labor Day Weekend, of course it is not fixed. Remind you this has been a month. We lost all of August for camping, which is the season in NY. Came home to schedule them to come and pick up trailer this time to try and fix once again. Picked trailer up on September 23, 2016. Today is October 28, we still have no trailer, last communication was that the parts would be in for the slide on October 19, 2016. Once again we lost out on the last camping weekend in NY, Columbus Day. It is now October 28, 2016, and still no word.
This has been a camping nightmare.
They have offered to make 2 payments for us as a settlement, but want us to sign off on any claims on the trailer. Yea right.
When it gets fixed, We might think about it.
Its not a money issue. When you buy a brand new product, you expect brand new. Our 2008 Keystone Springdale pull behind trailer was in better condition.
Good luck to anyone who purchases an RV from Them.
