The Keystone Montana is a well-built, quality rv. I have lived in it full-time for 3 1/2 years, traveling all over the country. It is roomy and has lots of storage space. The bunkhouse provided the space needed for a second bedroom when the couch was made into a bed. That, along with the 1/2 bath, gave us the room we needed and made the floor plan an excellent choice for us. Keystone was very supportive, and responded in a helpful manner whenever we had a problem. I have thoroughly enjoyed my Keystone Montana experience and would recommend it to anyone.

** BUYER BEWARE ** To ANYONE looking to purchase a KEYSTONE MONTANA 5th WHEEL, please BEWARE!! We have experienced our THIRD CATASTROPHIC SUSPENSION FAILURE on our Keystone Montana 3790RD 5th wheel which involved the leaf springs snapping for the THIRD time, which then caused the second axle on the unit to be forcefully jammed up into the the chassis causing significant damage to the underbelly of our unit, along with CUTTING OUR BREAK LINES causing us to lose the brakes on our trailer while going down an overpass on a highway. We have been informed by the repair shop that we are EXTREMELY lucky there was not a fatality and that if they repair it, the chances of it happening again are EXTREMELY high and just a matter of time until there is a fatality with the unit. We tried reaching out to Keystone RV and Thor Industries via letter, and all we received was an extremely rude call from the VP of Service Operations, Garrett Carolis, telling us our request for assistance was not warranted and that our letter was an "extremely unrealistic expectation and will not happen." He also said that Keystone RV will NOT financially assist in anyway and that we are "absurd" for even asking. Keystone is also fully aware that I had a PICC line in my arm for IV medication and we were stranded on the side of the road for over 6 hours because of their manufacturing defects. We are still stranded, and have been for almost 2 weeks, in the town we were passing through when the incident happened because the repairs are now up to $10,000 and with the safety warning of taking it back on the road, we are extremely concerned. We just want to make sure ANYONE LOOKING TO BUY A KEYSTONE MONTANA 5th WHEEL is aware of what happened to us and the absolute NIGHTMARE we are dealing with because of the terrible manufacturing of our KEYSTONE MONTANA 5th WHEEL. Please travel safe y'all.

I’ve always been told that Keystone has always been at the top of the RV line but never owning one I just figured that was just something everyone said to justify the cost. My first keystone was a used cougar fifth wheel toy hauler and I just always thought to myself, ehh, it’s ok, I mean it’s a camper so it’s not going to be all that no matter the brand but boy was I wrong! When we were looking to trade up this last time we investigated, researched, and you tubed every manufacturer of 5th Wheels from $10,000 to $100,000 and we decided to stay with Keystone, why, two words “The Montana” We traded the cougar for a Montana 3721rl and WOW the difference is amazingly different! The quality, the sturdiness, the comfort, the class, all unmatched in the price range we were looking at. The advertisement for the Montana says it’s “NORTH AMERICA'S #1 SELLING LUXURY FIFTH WHEEL”, and I see why, it’s the best in my opinion!

As with all new RV's, there will be problems and issues and our Montana 305 RL was no exception. Many annoyance quality problems (from day one) that I was able to fix and a few major issues that the dealer had to fix. Overall, we love the floor plan and livability, but not happy campers with Keystone quality! A Montana is supposed to be one of the upper lines of Keystone, yet you'd never know it based on the issues. To be fair to Keystone and especially my awesome dealer, they've been great so far in fixing all the issues, but it is the shear number of issues and inconvenience that is deeply concerning. Now that we've worked through most of the common factory quality issues (most were well-known by Keystone, yet they don't address them at the factory), we're finally able to enjoy the trailers after 2 years of defect discovery and repairs. I often Joke, you want to be 2nd owner of a newer RV. The first owner has to deal with all the factory bugs and warranty repairs.

I bought a 2022 Keystone Montana because because everybody says it's the number one best built RV that there is.. I sold My home in Montana to buy this $90000 piece of garbage. I've been fighting the warranty for 10 months now. The place where I'm getting it fixed at has had it for 2 months and that's my home so I've been living in sleeping out of my truck because of the poorly built RV .I do not recommend buying one. I think they took every defective part threw it in a pile and when they had enough to build a camper they built mine and sold it to me.I would recommend staying away fromm all Keyston RV they are nothing but junk.....

We have been very pleased with our new Montana. All of our trips so far have been short, 100 to 500 miles or so. We've had three component failures, a Propane/02 detector, a motion light in our stairway and the JBL radio. Keystone and Rick's RV in Ville Platte La. has handled our warranty claims without a visit to the dealership. We couldn't be happier with the support from both.
RV manufacturers sometimes get a bad rap. These things are built using hundreds of parts and pieces and everything breaks. And I'll also say that If you're not a handy man at some level, you shouldn't own an RV. When you buy a Montana you can be assured you're buying a quality RV.

We bought our Montana rear kitchen 4 months ago. With 1 trip from Texas to Colorado, I am so dissatisfied with overall construction and quality control. I'll skip little things cosmetic, but serious issues include furnace catching on fire due to sawdust and other debris left by factory, empty refrigerator imploded and broke all tempered glass shelving and plastic trays, after 3k miles washing machine has flooded our front master bath and closet, master bath sink water feed leaking around hose clamps, grey tank valve not operable, will not close flow.
We spent 9 months researching over 10 models, on paper, Montana looked to be best choice. Even at 140k, after all accessories, I feeling like I have made a terrible choice. Local dealer is at least 2-3 months out. I ask keystone customer service to authorize mobile service and due to Texas franchise laws, only dealer can send out Keystne certified mobile service. Only to find out Crestview rv does not offer such service. So 2 choices, either surrender my new 2023 unit for months, or pay for repairs out of pocket. As we are booked out for several months in destinations desired, I guess I'll sponsor repairs.
Before buying an rv, do your homework. You will NOT want to buy a Montana. They are very unreliable and Keystone knows it. But volume of sales allows them to produce high end JUNK. Please be aware.

I purchased a 2020 Keystone Montana 3761FL two months ago from Camping World in Myrtle Beach S.C. This RV is our first RV and we wanted the best as we got started. That is what we were sold. Man did we get surprised. This RV has yet to be used. Been in the shop as much as stored. The poor workmanship beyond the cosmetics is horrible. We have an issue with the floor now and Keystone want stand behind it. The floor is spongy and steaks. Comment, it’s normal. My response, Really. The customer service response to the customer is like a black hole. We obviously did not do enough research before we bought a Keystone product. What a high price piece of poor QUALITY and WORKMANSHIP. I hate to see what else happens once we actually put it on a camp site. Buyers be ware. Do your homework. Thanks Keystone and Camping World. What a joke.
Robbie.
