Prior to owning this trailer we had a 2013 Keystone Hideout 27', which we had ZERO problems with. It was an incredible trailer, which is why I wanted another Keystone when we decided to upgrade. Since owning this trailer, we have had nothing but problems with it. Here is the list of items we have already had to replace on our 2 year old trailer: - Water pump (quit on our first trip) - Furnace (quit on our first trip) - Trailer Jack (quit after our first summer - 10 trips) - Kitchen faucet (started leaking at the start of our 3rd summer) The layout is terrible too. Good luck trying to make the queen size bed, because the basement storage extends so far out you can only reach to head of the bed if you have 8' arms. There is minimal storage inside the trailer as well. The bunkroom is the only redeeming factor of this turd of a trailer. Do not buy one. Look for models made prior to 2019.

I bought a brand new 2020 keystone hideout for my mother in Oct 2019. We have had nothing but problems from the start. Got it delivered set up. First time she used the shower we had a leak. Come to find out the wrong gasket was used. Hooked up to city water, had a leak. All connections were loose. Trim falling off, staples sticking out, glue seen everywhere. Just recently her outdoor led lights caught fire. Furnace has stopped working.AC has never worked. I bought brand new thinking everything should be in working order! So Disappointed in the workmanship of this trailer! Dealer and manufacturer have been no help. My mother is a senior and cannot afford the work that needs to be done.

Owned a pop up for years but outgrew it and decided to buy a camp trailer. Did my research and decided to go with the Keystone 25 foot camp trailer, the Hideout. First thing I noticed was that this trailer didn't tow well .wouldn't track behind my truck even with the Reese equalizer. After 1st trip there were a lot of cosmetic items that had to be addressed. Trim falling off, speaker covers falling off, outdoor fridge that was tearing up the compartment. Compartment doors that were hanging and binding, lighting that wasn't working, the facet in the sink fell off, cabinet drawers that wouldn't close properly and the list went on. After 2 months in the dealer we went to pick it up and several of the items that were written up weren't fixed so we left it. Went back a week later and now the batteries were dead even though this trailer has solar panels to charge the batteries. We left it again we go back in another week and they tell us that we must have turned off the solar panel disconnect, we didn't. That next weekend we went camping again. As we're driving up the mountain I see something flapping in the wind but can't pull over as we're climbing a 6% grade. When we could pull over we found all the rubber molding that covers the screws was coming off. We get to the camp site and start setting up,The first thing we notice when we open the door was the trailer is full of dirt. We found that two of the windows were sealing allowing dirt to get in the trailer, everything was covered in dust, finedirr. Then when leveling and unpacking. I noticed the aluminum siding on the trailer was warping and coming loose at the wheel wells. The bedroom door wouldn't close, the window shades wouldn't stay up, more interior trim falling off and a hot water heater that only intermittently worked. By the time we got back to town we took it back to the dealer with another laundry list of problems. I regret buying this Keystone Hideout and Keystone has been very flippant saying they will fix it. At this point nothing less than buying this trailer back from me would satisfy my frustration and disappointment.

When my wife and I were looking for a travel trailer this Keystone Hideout 176BH caught our eye at Gander Mt. RV in Baxter Mn. We liked its simplicity and colors so we purchased it in late July 2021 and left Minnesota for Utah 2 days later. This purchase turned into a nightmare almost immediately! By the time we got to our destination, interior trim pieces were already falling off, there were metal shavings coming from who knows where showing up on the floor near the crookedly installed power center, the water pump was horribly noisy, we started to notice things like paneling staples showing and taped seams that had the tape peeling off, and the screws that hold the strings for the window blinds were falling out, not to mention the refrigerator leaking water onto the MDF (Medium Density Fiber not real wood) boards below it, the MDF swelled up and had to be replaced. Then while we were in Utah we got a phone call from Gander Mt. asking us to bring in our new purchase so they could fix THEIR list of problems with our camper that they made absolutely NO mention of whatsoever during the sales process ! Nice surprise for us! So, I told them what I had found so far and that I was going to inspect every inch of this thing and was not happy with them withholding their discovery of problems during the purchase! Our opinion of this camper and Gander was dropping fast! Upon my inspection I found more metal shavings under our sons bed in the area where the power center and water pump are located, and metal shavings along with a large pile of sawdust in the access area of the propane burner for the refrigerator (they sold us a fire just waiting to happen!) Shortly after their phone call to us, our then 2 year old son stepped out onto the first step where his leg went into the gap between the camper and the back of the step and he fell down with his leg still trapped in the gap! Luckily he didn’t break his leg! I immediately called both Gander and Keystone, neither one seemed concerned with this issue and refused to do a simple repair to make the steps safe. All in all our experience with Keystone and Gander Mt. which has been since purchased by Campingworld has been horrendous troubled with poor quality workmanship, lack of transparency in sales, substandard repairs and non existent customer service, a campingworld assistant manager told me “We aren’t going to do anything more for you”so I told him “Get out of my camper or I’ll throw you out!”I have not been back there since . I won’t even consider it, and will never buy or recommend that anyone else buy a Keystone camper or deal with Campingworld whose CEO’s motto is “If you’re not happy, I’m not happy. “ That’s an untrue statement if I’ve ever heard one!
