We traded in our new 2018 Keystone Cougar Half Ton Towable, for this 2018 Bighorn 3010. The difference was noticeable, as we had many rinky dink problems with the Cougar from the get go. The Bighorn has issues as well...we take it offroad, but overall, a better rig, with higher quality, and less worries. Overall, after talking to many owners, new RV's, in general,
are poorly made and one can expect issues sooner than later. Inspect, inspect, inspect...before you buy !
Once your off the lot...your totally forgotten !

- Slide stopped working and leaks,
- microwave stopped working
- doors for pantry and bedroom came off the hinges,
- electrical panel came detached from wall and almost caused a fire.

We bought our 33RES Keystone Cougar from Camping World and have had a great experience with it! The king size bed is so nice. In the heat of summer, the dual a/c would freeze you out if you so desired. At 7780, dry weight, our F-150 Ford Ecoboost had no problems pulling the trailer. I would recommend investing in 10 ply tires to eliminate any sway. Once we had the tires installed, it pulled with ease. We get about 10 mpg on the road. The exterior is asthetically appealing to the eye. In the interior, it is a beautiful design. The arched roof eliminates the closed in feeling found on some flat roof interior designs. In the kitchen, you will find a spacious refrigerator and functional island. The fireplace and entertainment system is placed at the end of the travel trailer so you want be distracted by people walking in front of it. The design is well thought out and practical. The only mild criticisms would be that the shower is a bit small and the outside wiring is antenna ready, but not cable ready. Overall, I would recommend the Keystone Cougar 33RES to anybody!!!

We've never had any problems with anything. We pull it with a 2019 Chevy Silverado half ton. It pulls wonderful! I would recommend this camper to anyone. Just keep in mind that like anything else, when buying used it all depends on how the previous owner took care of it .

The next problem, I have is the king size bed. I feel the walls on either side of the bed on the slide out should be at least 6 inches away from the bed in order to make the bed up correctly. The way they have it now is the walls are touching the sides of the bed where you cannot make it up correctly , and it is all wrinkly.

What a nightmare! My husband drove 800 miles each way to get floor plan I wanted. We have full cover, electric hook ups and sewer on our own property where it is stored. We live in our house NOT trailer. Take it out for two days. Leaks so bad mattress soaked. Took 2 months to schedule repair then told sorry we don't show you scheduled. Had email confirmation. Found someone closer to fix immediately. Took out for 3 week trip may 2022, issues, issues and more issues. Hubby fixed many, others repaired upon return. Now June 2023 going on 3 week trip. 2nd day extreme water leak and overwhelming sewer smell. Ok bought brand new, used one time 2 days in 2021 major problems then 3 weeks 2022 major problems now starting June 2023 trip with more major problems. The price of this travel trailer should not have this many problems. Keep in mind on concrete slab covered on our property. This travel trailer is well protected from the elements... I MEAN NO HELP FROM MANUFACTURER
I EVEN PAID BIG BUCKS FOR EXTENDED WARRANTY. EVERY ASPECT OF OWNING THIS KEYSTONE COUGAR 25RDS HAS SUCKED! Think many times about buying a keystone which is "supposed " to be higher quality with the quality just buy the cheap other brand travel trailer most likely better quality

The irony here for me is that we traded in our 2018 keystone cougar 5er,which we had just bought new, and were having ALL the problems mentioned here...for a 2018 Bighorn 3010. Our new rig has lots of rinky dink problems, also, but not so bad.the rig is much nicer, and we hurried and used it a lot in that first year warranty period. We do go out in the desert, boon docking,so we account some problems to that...but, after many discussions with travelers in the Quartzsiteand Yuma area my theory is there are higher quality crews or shifts or bodies of workers, and if your fortunate enough to get a better crew, you won't have cabinet doors falling off and missing molding, and screws,etc...Its confounding, the poor quality is so widespread!
One biggy for me was how many voices, on the forums , emphasized the PDI, pre delivery inspection...we did that big time, and had many small things done b4 we drove off the "lot where they forget you".

We bought this trailer fall of 2015 and had no problems for the first year other than the bed being difficult to walk around as another person had stated. We took one recliner out because it was too crowded with two. After 1 year our trailer siding cracked at the bottom of the bedroom slide out. We tried multiple time to have it looked at and got no where, even calling Dutchman was no use. The repair outfit would not even look at it. We ended up paying out of pocket to have it repaired. It was cracked all the way through and required partial replacement of the wood. I feel that they don't stand behind their product. This was an expensive trailer and should be better quality. I would not buy another of this brand/manufacturer. I believe they make Keystone which includes all the cougar trailers as well.
