We have had water leaks, a bad refidgerator, the fenders cracked and falling off, the holder for the wiring for the slide is broken, sending unit for the black and grey water tanks are not right ever and we don’t poo in our toilet or add toilet paper in it so I know it is something with the sending unit. Craftsmanship is horrible. I am not happy with it. Worst decision we have made is buying a keystone product. It is not just the bullet. My Dad has had way worse problem with his alpine. In the shop all the time. I would not suggest buying anything keystone makes

Bought my 2014 bullet new first two years everything was good third-year noticed front driver side starting to bulge fourth-year floor was spongy on driver side and now this year 2019 floor is spongy on passenger side. Checked for leaks from windows and roof everything tight no water in that area camper has rear bath kitchen is on slide out everything good there I assume it’s cheap plywood starting to delaminate won’t know until the floor is pulled up . Called Keystone they said camper is out of warranty I understand that but a five year old RV should not have spongy floors not sure what my next step is I guess contact lawyer and see what rights I have and will keep going on social media telling my story about Keystone RV‘s will not buy another keystone

Purchased a cougar 26RKS after owning a Bullet Premier 22RBS. We settled on the Cougar after reviewing several models, quality reviews, features and floor plans. We have now owned our trailer for about 1 year and have camped some 30-40 days, on about 10 trips. What we most like about it is the floor plan: for a 26ft RV we find the floor plan spacious, seating in front of the TV is great, we like the fireplace, good size bathroom and king size bed. Rear kitchen for us works best and we like having two doors to access bedroom and kitchen. Outside fridge did not come with a turn-off switch, which makes it difficult to disconnect, and the capital grill is not as useful as a stove would have been, but we can still get some use out of it. Unlike some owners, we have not had any major structural or furnace issues. So far we have also not experienced failures with air conditioner, stabilizers or appliances. Cabinets are holding up well although we do need to secure doors with brackets before we travel. No leaks or wall paper issues reported with exception of a strip that peeled off during travel but we were able to glue it back easily. Like with any trailer, husband proactively greases bearings, check stabilizers, inspect roof and checks tire pressure before we travel, and so far we have not had any issues with towing or with tires. I would consider a Cougar again and do recommend this model. That being said, where you buy it matters, and there are a few areas where Keystone could improve greatly. TV cable disconnected from antena somewhere inside the walls a few weeks after purchase. We considered taking to a local dealer but given the service reviews of the closet choice - Camping World, and the likelihood that would take several weeks to repair, we decided to attempt repair ourselves before we would bring it in. We fished the wire out of the wall and secured correctly after a few tries. We blame this one on quality control during assembly. In comparison with the Bullet Premier, my husband complains about towability of the trailer - it is not as smooth due to poor air dynamics, so it drags significantly more. Toilet water seal was not aligned to hold water. After a couple calls to the dealer and watching a few videos, we were able to make adjustments to the shutting mechanism; it has since been working well. We blame this one on quality inspection at both Keystone and Dealer. Back kitchen window crank is too large for the window and is actually useless. We have to remove it and open the window manually if needed - a design flaw. The manual of trailers is usually not adequate for the model or appliances that come with it. It serves mostly as a guide, not a manual - a poor consideration to customer service and likely a result of cost cutting. We referred to the manual a few times and could not find specific information on troubleshooting or maintenance for the equipment we had in our trailer. Air conditioner works well, but is loud! For a $30,000+ unit, I wish keystone would upgrade to an A/C unit less noisy. We sometimes have to turn-off the AC to watch TV. We boon-docked in the fall and while attempting to refill the fresh water tank, we realized that we can’t just poor water in it, It actually requires pressure to be refilled - ridiculous concept when you may not have power to generate the pressure, nor the tools to do it. We had to pull the trailer out of the campsite to the nearest water station. Inconvenient design flaw; we will need to bring a battery pump next time. In-Command system is not as useful and helpful as intended and advertised. It does not measure tank levels accurately, requires a PIN nuumber EVERYTIME we need to access the panel and does not allow to remove this requirement in settings. Does not allow for more than one device to sync at the same time, which makes difficult to manage. It disconnects frequently, does not read battery life correctly, touch screen is not very responsive - need to press on slowly and firmly for it to work. The app does not allow for fingerprint of Face ID unlock - PIN required everytime as well. I am not impressed with the InCommand system, Keystone has long ways to go with this product. The mattress as in many trailers had to be replaced - not comfortable to most people I must say. The tension blinds across all windows are terrible! Tension changes during travel and need to be adjusted all the time. There are 5 across the trailer and all have issues. The screws holding the tension are not on studs and can’t support the tension. When you are able to raise the blinds, they look crooked. Terrible design - wish Keystone would use roller or built-in gliding blinds. We are currently considering replacing all blinds. Manual advises to lower the dinner table during travel. I wish keystone would start installing adjustable tables to make lowering/raising easier. It is a job to get the rods off the table and assemble again. Overall, good trailer but not without flaws.

I wanted to share my Keystone buying experience with those considering a new RV purchase. My wife and I live in Northern Indiana, and after an especially hot, humid Labor Day weekend of 2012, we made the decision to buy a travel trailer. Next we had to decide what to buy and how much to spend. We spent nearly an entire day at an RV show that came to our city that following year, I believe in February of 2013. After looking at every design and type, we made the decision on a Keystone Bullet 298BHS. We took delivery sometime in April of 2013, and at first, it seemed like a well-built unit sporting awesome graphics, and what appeared to be solid interior furnishings. We were really excited with the back bedroom and the number of people it would sleep, the prospect of bringing others (in addition to our two children) with us camping. We were pleased with what we saw, however it is what we could not that would have us regretting our decision to buy Keystone. Later that year, in the fall, my then 9 year old daughter decided one night that she wanted to sleep in one of the top bunks. Off to bed we went, only to hear a loud THUD in the middle of the night, followed briefly by a silence, then a terrifying scream from our daughter. Rushing towards to back, I’m turning on lights along the way. When I reached the rear of the unit, I found my daughter lying on the floor, mouth bleeding and crying her eyes out. As her mother and me tended to her bleeding mouth and trying to calm her, I couldn’t help but notice that the upper bunk had completely collapsed. I was astonished that this bunk had collapsed under the weight of this 50lb girl. The bunk had collapsed because the screws holding the supports onto the walls had the wrong screws in them. So when it failed, it caused huge deep gouges in the wall. We were fortunate of two things, our daughter was not seriously hurt, and the unit was under warranty. I promptly took it to the dealer and they replaced the back wall due to the gouges, and new wallpaper. It was then that the tech told me that he found the screws holding in the supports were the wrong ones, and were probably only ¼” into the wall. He also stated that he went ahead and checked the other bunk to be safe and found those screws to be the wrong shorter ones as well. Next problem we had was the front hatch doors constantly leaking. We fought this problem for almost a year. We complained 14 months into our ownership and were told by our dealer that the unit is out of warranty, and nothing could be done. I replaced both front hatch door seals at the tune of $100 to stop the leaks. Pretty lousy I thought considering this to be a brand new unit just over a year old. We had other smaller issues with the unit over the past few years, more than I want to write or reminisce about. However the final straw was this summer, when we took our unit out to South Dakota. On the way there, we noticed that the lights kept going out. Apparently there was a broken wire inside the 7-way trailer cord, which made it a priority to replace that. Also on the way there, the driver’s side plastic skirting that mounts directly over the wheels had become broken and flying around. I had to pull over to investigate, and found that the cheap thin metal supports had all broken which caused excessive vibration and caused the paper thin plastic skirting to break like glass. That was another $150 to replace that, as well as fashion new supports. When I looked at the other side, it was the same situation, all 3 supports were broken, and the skirt was broken as well, just not as bad and I was able to salvage it. While we were in S. Dakota, it became apparent that the HVAC system did not want to operate properly. The A/C would turn on, but when it stopped, it would not start back up until you physically turned it off and then back on. I had to buy a new control unit and thermostat on the recommendation of the dealer to fix that problem. Also on this trip we had to replace both the shower hose which had a cracked end and the head because the switch that is supposed to stop the water quit working. Needless to say, I could not be a more miserable Keystone buyer. I will admit that this was my first RV, but I guess my ignorance rested solely in the fact that I didn’t realize (or didn’t want to believe) that RV companies sold products that were this prone to repair. Reckless workmanship as well as cheap materials is what I received for my roughly $25 purchase. After our trip this summer, my wife and I have decided that we need to trade this unit in before things get any worse, and never ever again look twice at a Keystone product. They love to post some very pleasant reviews about their products on their website, let’s see if they will post this one.
