I have a lot of camping experience and I personally would not recommend purchasing another keystone product again

My mother purchased a brand new Keystone Bullet in August 2017. Within the first few months the heater stopped working. She had to contact Keystone and after a couple of weeks it was determined the heater needed replacement which was done under warranty.
Now in February the air conditioning stopped working. Keystone is dragging their feet for several weeks and still no AC. The contractor who replaced the heater can’t work without authorization from Keystone to fix the AC. After several days near 90 degrees she paid for the repair out of pocket, we will see how long it takes to get refunded the $1,300.
If this is how this company helps it buyers I would do my homework before spending a large amount of money and getting no support when serious problems arise.

I purchased this 2020 Keystone bullet BHS in July of 2020 I loved the interior decer and the floor plan was impeccable It was large enough and it was fully equipped for my entire family for trit had a heated underbelly which made it possible to take it to any climate it had 2 air conditioning units which was very important a private one in the bunk house area Storage was sufficient and it also had automatic leveling jacks And a 20' awning so when you're in the heat it's very useful I have to say that the dealership that I purchased from in Fort Lauderdale planet RV has been wonderful as well as Keystone the manufacturer every recall was handled professionally and completely whenever I needed it to be repaired in any way if a screw came loose they were there no Problems so if you're gonna purchase an RV make sure you purchase it with a good dealership Would I Recommend this unit to someone yes especially to a family that's large and you wan to go out and camp and do things and see our country and be comfortable My one and only regret It's almost 40' long it's a little longer than what I had hoped for but it tows wonderfully.

Having looked thru so many floor plans, we found this to fit our needs, but living in Colorado, they weren't selling the "west coast edition" here. We had to purchase it in Montana. So we put a down payment on the trailer and drove up there and purchased it. We did do some modifications. Installed a Fan-tastic Remote control fan in the bedroom ceiling (will probably install another in the kitchen area because it's so high) bought 2 6V golf cart batteries and some other small mods to make it ours of course. At the end of the summer camping season we were at 11 mile lake and the slide out started to give us trouble. Got home and couldn't bring the slide back in! Had to cut the underbelly open and use a wrench to manually crank it in, then took it to Camping World for the warranty repairs. Took 3 weeks but Keystone covered it. Turned out to be a "short in the wiring" they informed me. Glad we weren't full timing it. This so far is the biggest problem. There are a lot of small items, e.g., kitchen sink faucet leaked and bubbled up the counter top around it (I replaced the defective faucet) and there were a couple cabinet issues (pantry shelving fell down) but considering the time frame for warranty work, I opted to fix myself. Here's the deal...if you want a perfect camping trailer, it ain't gonna happen. There will always be problems when you expose any unit to an earthquake and a hurricane for 6 hours a day (towing at 70mph and bouncing on crappy roads) . Do that for weeks on end and... really, think about it. Due diligence people, don't buy anything without a ton of research.
Anyway, we previously owned a Premier Bullet 19' by Keystone and had no problems at all, I mean NOTHING, that's why we stayed with Keystone. It's a crap shoot
people. But I suggest you put your hands to work to fix the small stuff and prepare for weeks downtime for the big stuff. Overall we like the Cougar, and plan on dragging it around thousands of more miles. In one season we put 2500 miles on it.

Well to start off this Trailer had a great floor plan and we liked the features like the black tank flush clean out, we liked the central vacuum built in, also the correct trac suspension was a great feature. When we purchased the unit, I guess you don\'t notice all the things that were wrong with it until you actually use it, first thing we noticed was how horrible the workmanship was, poor construct ability like nothing is square around the doors, like the pantry and bathroom, the molding around front door coming off, the wallpaper throughout the unit was coming off, the underbelly was sagging and was not fully enclosed like was indicated, we purchased aluminum siding which I shouldn\'t have, I should of stuck with fiberglass, it just felt cheaper and it just moved a lot in the wind when being towed, like around the wheel well area, our first time out we were using the clean out which did not work. So we scheduled an appointment to take in and have all these issues fixed, which were corrected somewhat, the trailer spent about 3 and a half weeks there before we got it back, the weekend of the 4th of July we had a trip scheduled in Las Vegas Nevada which is an 8 to 9 hour trip, as we were towing we had to stop constantly and put molding around the tire fender kept coming off because was not put on correctly, we finally arrived in Las Vegas in an RV park with full hook ups to find out the electric heater did not work we had to use propane, also our couch was sinking in and we could not use the couch. Our air conditioner did work thank God but woul not shut down after reaching temp we would have to manually shut down. We have been plagued with problems from the start if I had known we were going to run into this much problems on a brand new unit I would of stayed with the unit we traded in, we owned another Keystone bullet different model, we absolutely had no problems with that unit which we owned for 3 years, that\'s why we went with Keystone again. In my opinion Keystone has gone down in quality and workmanship at least with this particular model. I would probably save yourself lots of grief and stay away from this particular model. By the way thank goodness our dealership where we purchased it has been awesome!!

In April of 2022 my wife and I traded in our 2016 Keystone Bullet travel trailer for a NEW 2022 Keystone Bullet 258RKS model....what a mistake! We were so excited about the beautiful floor plan and the new trailer for our family to enjoy camping at the beach and tailgating with friends and family (Penn State games and watching our daughter play field hockey at college). On our first trip out...the problems started...We arrived at our first camping spot to find the fridge latch broken and our food all over the floor! That was not the only issue on that trip...as we closed the awning prior to going out for dinner as a precaution (wind), the arm locked up and bent. We spent a few hours on the phone while on vacation trying to remedy all the issues. Our salesman encouraged us to continue to use the RV for the summer and bring in the unit for repairs at the end of the season (Do campers really have an end of the season?) As recommended by the dealer, we gave a list of all the issues with the RV (Awning, fridge frosting up, control panels falling off wall every time we drive unit, front corner cap looks like it was patched or not correctly sealed, kitchen table latch defective, etc.) We gave up our fall trips and dropped the unit off in September of 2022. We called the dealership to check on repairs through the winter...We picked up the trailer at the end of March 2023 and set out for our trips. From the first trip, in the new year we found issues again. The grey tank handle was missing when we went to empty our tank. The control panel would continue to come loose off the wall and need to be re-screwed after arriving at each destination. The fridge continues to frost up and we are constantly adjusting the temperature to ensure food stays cool. We also duct tape the fridge every trip b/c the latch is so cheap and not secure. It was the summer of 2023 that our trailer began having even more issues. The 258RKS is unique in that the slide out is on the picnic side of the camper. The slide is very close to the main entry door. We began to notice the difficulty of the entry door closing (even when the camper is perfectly level) with the slide out. Many heated talks of 'why are you slamming the door'? We also noticed our bathroom door and bedroom door not properly closing or securing (adjusted lock mechanism many times throughout the season). We closed the camper for the season in late October...winterized and covered. When we set out for our spring trips we noticed the entry door becoming more of an issue and found in late June of 2024 the wall between the slide and entry door moves tremendously when putting the slide in and out. We reached out to Keystone Manufacturing direct. They recommended us to bring in the trailer for service. We were unable to bring the unit in for service until September of 2024. However, at the end of July prior to going out on a family vacation we noticed some bubbling in the walls in the bedroom. (Severe leak and bubbling). We went on vacation and while camping also noticed the outside wall separating from the front cap trim. We again contacted Keystone manufacturing...they requested us to have the trailer evaluated once at the dealership in September. We traveled home with duct tape again on the outside of camper to ensure the side panel would not fly off the camper or become even worse in traveling down the road. The local dealership service department evaluated the trailer and determined a broken weld (near the entry door/slide area, also the leak and other issues). They determined that the trailer would need over 80+ hours of service repairs to fix. Keystone has granted only 20 hours of work...they are willing to authorize the repair of the broken weld, but nothing else. Keystone is stating that the leak and wall separation on the front cap area is customer neglect. That we should have ensured our camper was properly sealed. I truly believe the camper leak, wall separation is due to the wall shifting and weld break...
Let me just state, my family and I take great pride in our vehicles and trailer. I continue to wash, clean, wax, inspect and ensure the our vehicles look good. My wife says I spend to much time cleaning and maintaining. I am sick having in my possession a trailer that is a little over two years old with such issues and problems. We spent a lot of money on this Keystone product and I am at a loss of words on how Keystone is not taking responsibility of such a poorly designed and manufactured product. If anyone has any advice or has similar issues with their Keystone trailer (2021-2023) units please don't hesitate to reach out to me....my personal email is jskish@hotmail.com. My family and I don't know what legal rights we have, but when we call Keystone customer services we get a new person each time and are never allowed to speak to upper management.

We purchased the 2019 Montana High Country 331RL the end of November 2018 and picked it up December 31st from Camper’s RV in Shreveport, La while waiting for our new 40’ RV carport to be installed at our home. We took the RV, Thursday, January 3rd 2019 for our first camping trip to Lake Claiborne State Park less than 25 miles from our home. There were 4 other campers beside us in the park. It was cold but we wanted to test the heating unit ASAP. The first night went well, the second night around 9:00p.m. while watching t.v. and relaxing in the two comfortable recliners, we heard what sounded like a bullet hit the RV. We jumped up and my husband took a flashlight and went outside to look around to see if he could see anything. He even climb the ladder and looked on top of the RV and could not see anything. The next morning, Saturday, our son came up to join us for breakfast. When I opened the door for him, he commented that he had not noticed the upper window over the dining area looking like that when we had purchased it. Not knowing what he was talking about, I raised the curtain completely and discovered a shattered window. It had not broken and fallen out, just shattered. We realized that is what we had heard. My Husband and Son made a trip into Homer to pick up blue masking tape to tape the area in hopes it would hold till we could get home and unload our things then take it into Camper’s RV for repair. While they were gone, I called Camper’s RV and told them what had happened. They said they had never heard of this happening before, almost making me feel as if we were responsible in some way. They informed me this was also not covered under our warranty. I, of course, became very upset and told them we will be discussing this further when we could get the RV over to them to look at. I told them this was completely unacceptable.
We returned home Monday, due to having paid for our lot at Lake Claiborne till then. By the time we got to our home, driving very careful and slowly, the window had completely blown out and when we opened the door to the RV glass was everywhere. We spent three hours picking up glass and vacuuming with a shop vac. We unloaded most of our things and early Tuesday morning we headed to Camper’s RV. After arguing with the service department when told the warranty would not cover this and in addition they would have to keep it at least 8 weeks, we explained again we would not accept this and wanted to speak with the manufacturer, Keystone. A representative called me on the phone when we returned home. I told him the complete story and explained the reason we had went with this Montana, we had been assured it was top of the line. We own a 2004 Dutchman Classic Bumper Pulled which we never have had trouble with, very disappointed with new one. We wanted one that was larger, more features, and easy to level. We came to an understanding, no charge to repair, the window was fixed within two weeks and RV was back at home ready for our next trip which was scheduled March 5-10 which is less than 60 miles from home. Before leaving on that trip, my Husband had trouble getting the slides to to extend, the battery was not holding a charge. He put the battery on a charger overnight and it still would not hold a charge. He connected a brand new battery, we were able to get the slides to come out for us to load our supplies. In the meantime, he contacted Camper’s RV, explained the problem and was advised to bring the battery into them so they could test it for 48 hours. They did and told us the battery was ok. Now the new battery my Husband had replaced the original one with was also losing the charge. To get us through the trip that we had already paid for, we took both batteries along with a battery charger in case we had trouble. We made it through the trip with only two other small problems, a window screen had come loose, after 30 minutes we were able to get it back in place, and a leak under the kitchen sink, my husband tighten the loose pipes...fixed the problems. Our next trip (3rd), which I had booked in January for May 21st also began with same problem, battery not holding charge. We contacted Camper’s RV and made appointment to bring it in June 5th and was told plan on leaving it 2-3 weeks. We have told them we also have a booked trip with deposit that has also been paid for July 2-5. In addition to battery problem, before we left on the Memorial week trip we could not get the back jacks to retract so we could connect the truck to the RV. Once again, my husband called Camper’s RV and after speaking with the Service Manager was connected with a technician. The technician said it had lost it’s calibration on the auto -level system. He instructed him to drop the back jacks using a drill on Manuel Shaft. We should not be having to do any of this. We are ready to see our attorney to see what can be done!
