2018 Highlander Toy Hauler: One year warranty! In for thermostat not operating properly, fuel gauge not working, soft spot in floor of bathroom and kitchen (perfect line along seam of sheathing) Initial dealer dropped the ball and in 3 1/2 months fixed 1 issue (thermostat) with the fifth wheel. Never even investigated to pursue the other problems or report them to the manufacturer. Moved camper to another dealer with the help of Highland Ridge, and the proof that it was dropped off at the prior dealer within 1 year of purchase. New dealer sends pictures and description of issue with the floors (seam of sheathing is not lined up with aluminium joists in sub floor). Dealer recommends repair. Highland Ridge determines that there is no issue, within spec and refuses any repair. I speak with (Tiffany"team leader") Highland Ridge again, they say they will contact the dealer again. I call to follow up, Dealer informs me that Tiffany called and said that they would not cover the repair. I had explained to Tiffany that besides myself, 2 of their dealers had acknowledged the problem. I have had the trailer for 1 month of the year 2019. Highland Ridge despite 2 dealers saying there is a problem and pictures showing that the seam of sheathing is not over the aluminium joist. Tiffany told me that because the floor is layered and has a top layer and bottom layer of sheathing with the aluminum joists and foam between the layers of sheathing that the seam does not need to be over the joist. The location of the soft spot is exactly along the line of supported sheathing and the next piece of sheathing with support further away. I would recommend that any one looking to purchase an RV to look anywhere other than anything from Highland Ridge. I thought that all the stories were untrue with their initial support and effort but ultimately they decide that it is better to screw the customer than stand up and repair what is obviously a manufacturers issue. I allowed for ample time and have in no way been rude or belligerent the pay back for this has been to get stuck with a very expensive unit with soft spots in the floors less than a year after purchase and no support from the manufacturer. I have spoken at length with my current dealer and the technician working on it, both repeatedly apologize and tell me they can't believe how this has been swept under the rug by Highland Ridge. Find any other company that will do anything ?!?, you will be ahead of anyone with a Highland Ridge. They are as bad as the first Dealer (Browns RV in South Carolina). Never ever do business with these lazy, dishonest businesses! Tom Seneca, SC

We pay way too much money for Highland Ridge not to step up and fix this problem.

Have owned this camper for just over two years and I have been very pleased with it. Problems have been few but have been repaired by Highland Ridge. It came with a King bed which was absolutely impossible to get around, etc. Worked with RV dealer to change to a queen and that made such a difference! Made the bedroom perfect! Be careful with the awnings...put them out slowly and check to make sure both sides of each awning are coming out. Have had to replace one awning. Again, Highland Ridge has been responsive in dealing with problems. LED lights recalled and replaced. Also this RV is so easy to pull, you forget it is behind your truck. I really love the outside area. Sitting under the awning and watching TV or sitting by a small fire is perfect. The outside small refrig is great to grab a drink when you are on the road or you are sitting outside. Another perk is that you can use the bathroom when you are on the road and the slides are in.... really nice feature of the model. Highly recommend.

VERY DISAPPOINTED with our 2016 Open Range 2604RB .. will NEVER EVER purchase another product manufactured by Highland Ridge RV .. purchased in Jun 2016 and have had nothing but problems .. only 1 trip out where we didn't have issues. Dealership has had to replace all of the exterior hatch doors including entry door; bottom of the "supposed" pantry fell through under weight of food; dinette seats detached from the slide out floor; rear of dinette detached from side wall of the trailer; outdoor speakers have been replaced twice; ground screw for the electrical system rusted and caused all of the low voltage electrical to stop working; water tank syphons itself out when you fill it; that's the SHORT LIST just to name a few. Dealership in Cambridge, ON Canada has been awesome, but Highland Ridge refuses to recognize the issues with the manufacture of this trailer, spoke to their Warranty Supervisor twice and they will do nothing. Absolutely NO QUALITY CONTROL .. unit should never have left the factory. Our frame warranty is up in Jun 2018 and are seriously concerned about what will happen after then .. looks like it's time to sell and buy something else. I'm sure this post won't last long but trust me, I will keep reposting to make others aware.

I have used this trailer for 2 months in Montana, the floor plan is nice, the fit and finish not very good at all, and the fresh water system is very poor and simply does not work 50 gallons of fresh water rapidly becomes less than thirty as water continually syphons from the tank while remedies exist for this poorly designed system their customer service refuses to address the issue which is a very serious flaw for anyone intending to use a travel trailer. Kitchen cabinets fall apart, the counter tops are poorly finished mdf board which swells and delaminates when exposed to water. The entry door striker was installed wrong so the door is very difficult to close. While all of these problems can be fixed, the customer service at Highland Ridge is unwilling to do anything about them so much for a "warranty" on a New Unit

Bought this fifth wheel 347 RES in March 2017 and had to take back in to the dealership after 3 months for numerous problems, especially floor soft in the kitchen area. After 3 months at the dealership. Picked it up and was told everything had been fixed including the floor (which was not) and still not. Each time taken into dealership was there for months in end. After 4 years of owning it it has spent over 14 months in the shop. Called manufacturer just to be told there was nothing they could do. Took it in to the shop in March due to rotted floor on front slude. After numerous calls just to be told they cannot get the part from the manufacturer to fix it which would have costed $3200 to fix. Just picked it up after 5 months and now my husband is having to try and fix himself. Wish us luck!! Oh and word to the wise stay away from purchasing Highland Ridge they may be pretty but craftsmanship sucks!!!

We purchased this unit from a SLC dealer last year right after Christmas with the intent it would be our "retirement" home for full time RVing. Great floorplan and options, very easy to tow. But lots of little nit-picky problems resulting in several return trips to dealer to fix, and we are 250 miles away so it is quite expensive to do so. The biggest problem however is the vinyl cover over the dinette slide out on the curb side. The cover was curling up at the leading edge. We had noticed it during the original sales view but the salesman advised it was due to the extreme cold and no heat in the unit. The walk thru service rep also said the same thing, and that it would lie down once the unit warmed up. Wrong! We brought it back to be fixed and the dealer and Jayco/Highland Ridge denied warrant saying it was to design specs. We discovered the cover was hitting the base of the kitchen island when the slide out was retracted. After discussion with both companies again, they still insisted it was to design specs. Further research by myself, I found the cover was 3/4" longer than the opening between the slide out and the kitchen island. This is a major trip hazard and safety issue. After nearly a year the raised edge is nearly 2" in height. Again both companies are denying there is an issue despite photographs and specifics on measurements. Now neither will return my phone calls or emails. Nice unit but no product support at all. Time for a lawyer I guess.

First of I love the layout of this RV. I wish the quality was comparable. We bought this thinking we would keep it for a long time. It was NOT a cheap RV. You pay this kind of money for something you expect some quality. We have owned several RVs and NEVER had this type of problems. Never had any issues really. This is a first for us. First of all the trim around the slides falls off. Which we thought no biggie. He fixed that. No problem. Then we were on vacation June 2016 and the front Slide would NOT go in. The gear box was out. So we had to call someone out to look at it. They confirmed and helped push it in. We got it home. Got appointment to get it fixed and of course had to cancel July 4th plans. Aug 1/16 this was fixed. We called Highland Ridge and we were out of warranty. Of course. Summer of 2018 noticed the recliner, where your head lays was splitting. Sort of peeling. Then noticed the couch was doing that as well. So, we had to replace the furniture in the unit as well. Now This weekend we have just returned from a trip weekend trip just an hour away. They rear slide has done the same thing. Yep. This will have to be fixed and oh the front slide that was fixed in Aug of 2016 they replaced gear box AND motor. It has also tore up and needs fixing as well. So will this be another summer of cancelled plans? We use the unit 3-4 times a year. This should not happen. This slide system is junk. The furniture is junk. We called them today and they said that since we did not call them during the warranty period that they were not responsible. So their customer service is terrible.
