Buying our dream fifth wheel has turned into a nightmare. Thanks Heartland. Floor plan is fantastic but from start to now has been a disaster. Black/gray tanks plumbed wrong, water leaks (anywhere there’s water), fried electric water heater wiring, slides won’t close, three season doors missing, caulking leaks, and I could go on. To date, Heartland offers nothing but lip service. We are living a nightmare. Stay away from this manufacturer.

RV is currently at Heartland in IN. Main issues are continuous leaks in bathroom and overhead storage compartments. Leaks in bathroom are currently being addressed for the SIXTH time... flooring in bedroom already had to be replaced from water damage from the wall between bedroom and bathroom. Floor in the bathroom is extremely soft and I can only imagine the damage to the entire flooring and area under the shower after the continuous leaks after five "repairs" from Heartland approved techs. It took several months for Heartland to schedule an appt to get our unit to the factory, where it currently is right now. They have no concern about time lost from using your unit or any costs to you from the defective units they sell.

Would love them to pay for the repairs which should have been done before it left factory.
Do not buy any Heartland RV cause you are on your own.

Water leaks in the slide outs, the heater died twice, the kitchen sink leaked, the shower leaked and now we found the roof is rotting, a big soft spot in one location. I spoke with customer relations and they told me there is nothing they can do. $40K+ trailer that is 6 seasons old and it's not good to us. I like to floor plan. My next step is to contact Heartland again with the roof problem. I also found a spot behind a gutter drain that was never calked and allow water into a side panel. Poor quality control. I would never buy another Heartland product.

3 year structural warranty is useless! Very unhappy with heartland. We Have a heartland Sundance a little over a year now 14 months. Since we have had it the sink sunk in the counter, water leaks from under the camper when you take showers , microwave glass came off, trim loose, an the floor is sinking in the middle of the camper.tried to take to get fix for the main problem the floor sinking in & Warranty will not cover , they are trying to tell me we had the refrigerator on to high an it froze an leaked! So it’s our fault an will not cover damages. Seems like this company does not want to take ownership of their cheaply made campers. But charging over priced for them by screwing people over when there are problems or issues with the unit! After reading reviews it seems like some of the same issues! Heartland does not stand by their word an I do not recommend buying this camper.

If you’re about to spend thousands of $$$ for an RV, you may want to read this.
I can’t go RV’ing because my 2014 HEARTLAND Wilderness leaks grey water all over the ground. I bought it NEW from dealer, 6 attempts to get the problem fixed, 4 of those attempts resulted in repairs being made, which have all failed. Dealer (multiple locations) keeps putting a band-aid on a fracture. Dealeronly does repairs that Heartland will allow/approve. I have been fighting this battle with dealer and manufacturer for over a year now and it seems I have lost.
“”As previously noted, Dealer sold the RV “AS IS” and excluded from the sale all express or implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.””---Dealer.
“Additional components which have been installed in the recreational vehicle, including but not limited to microwave ovens, ranges, refrigerators, leveling jacks, furnaces/heaters, generators, power converters, batteries, and other items not specifically manufactured by Heartland RV, LCC, are warranted by the component manufacturers as detailed in their individual manufacturers warranties, and are not covered by this Limited Warranty”--- excerpt from my Heartland owner’s manual.
So between the two above “disclaimers” good luck getting your Heartland RV repaired correctly under warranty. My warranty has now expired, while sitting at the dealer location awaiting repairs, after having spent almost half its life in repair shops. Do your research, make your own decision and good luck RV’ing. Beware…Heartland makes.
Items that have fallen off, broken, or failed: spare tire cover, holding tank drain cap, holding tank T-handle, TV mounting screws, rear bumper end cap, oven wouldn’t stay lit, exit door threshold, stabilizer mounting screws, shore power coupling mounting screws, kitchen sink drain plumbing, bathroom sink drain plumbing, external propane coupling, water heater wiring bundle, kitchen drawer, main entry door, main entry screen door, mattress collapsed, TV cable connector, shower faucet valves(both), shower drain plumbing leak. Oh yeah, it was still winterized upon delivery and the tires weren’t even aired up.
If this sounds like sour grapes, it is, because I have a brand new, at time of purchase, $20,000 RV that I can’t use and can’t get fixed. Thanks Dealer and HEARTLAND for putting an expensive and disheartening impediment to my retirement.
This post is regarding my purchase and ownership of a 2014 Heartland Wilderness.

Ive had my prowler for 2 years now. I wish I could say I've enjoyed it the whole time, but quality issues and support have been a real problem. We went with this trailer due to the bunk hose and a bath and a half. Plenty of room for us. Heartlands website praised the quality control aspect of things and how they build better than the rest. I've had plumbing leaks. I replumbed all water lines in the trailer to fix leaks and prevent future leaks due to chaffing. All the interior walls are peeling. I had to re wire my interior fridge due to it shutting off. The awning ripped on our second trip and was not covered. After a year the awning motor needed to be replaced. After many trips screw tips are now pultruding from the siding. The under belly panels of the trailer are falling down and duck tapped where cuts were made after it was installed. Ive taken it to the dealer for it to sit for a year. Not everything was done but I could use it. Picked up nothing was fixed! still have many water leaks inside from the interior plumbing. After calling heartland I found out the dealer never even started the claim. They gave me a list of dealers to use. All were booked really far out to the point where id go a whole season making payments and unable to use the trailer. I took things into my own hands and did the repairs. The more I dig into this trailer to more quality and workmanship issues I find. A lot of spot with no wall insulation, and NO INSULATION in my roof. No wonder it's pre wired for a second ac unit. The single unit can't keep up in 80+ deg weather. I would not recommend purchasing a heartland trailer.
