I bought a 2020 Heartland Sundance 291QB (manufactured in august) in March of 2021. In June/July of 2021 I noticed a 3" hairline crack in the rear fiberglass pannel. I took it to the dealer to submit a warranty claim on it. The dealer assessed it and determined it to be a problem with the fiberglass pannel. Heartland denied the warranty claiming it was damage. When I called Heartland I talked to David Williams who was not interested in what I had to say. He was not only rude but hostile in his way of dealing with this. He procceded to brag about how he turns all kinds of claims down for miscelaneous things, then proceded to give me a speal about how they have paper work with the dealer that enables them to deny warranty claims regardless if problems occur within the initial time frame of the warranty and that the warranty doesn't actually start when you buy the trailer but when the trailer is manufactured. At this point I got frustrated with the situation and asked for an indepenent assessment of the problem, which was ignored.
In my opinion this sort of behavior and hostility to customers is unacceptable for any business, particularly when the dealer identified the problem in the initial claim as a material failure. I will be submitting a complaint with the BBB and CFPB and Heartland HR department.

3 year structural warranty is useless! Very unhappy with heartland. We Have a heartland Sundance a little over a year now 14 months. Since we have had it the sink sunk in the counter, water leaks from under the camper when you take showers , microwave glass came off, trim loose, an the floor is sinking in the middle of the camper.tried to take to get fix for the main problem the floor sinking in & Warranty will not cover , they are trying to tell me we had the refrigerator on to high an it froze an leaked! So it’s our fault an will not cover damages. Seems like this company does not want to take ownership of their cheaply made campers. But charging over priced for them by screwing people over when there are problems or issues with the unit! After reading reviews it seems like some of the same issues! Heartland does not stand by their word an I do not recommend buying this camper.

First should I say buyer beware! We purchased our gateway in 2015 and have had nothing but problems. The tires were terrible and too low rated for such a heavy unit. We had our first blowout which damaged the side of the unit and caused delamination. There is delamination all over the unit. The air conditioner stopped working the first year which fortunately that was still under warranty. The tv and dvd system has never worked properly. I would never recommend anyone purchasing anything heartland! Heartland should do a recall on every single gateway unit and fix them. We paid way too much for this hunk of junk for it to have such shotty workmanship. Oh and the inverter works only half of the time. Perhaps we as heartland owners should get together and force heartland to make good on their product! We have just recently decided to put it in a permanent location and put a cover over it, hopefully this thing will last until we pay it off.

2022 Heartland mallard M32, there was issues before I even signed the contract. There was mold growing under the bed due to a leaking window from the factory. They will not replace the window under warranty it was denied, they are replaceing the wood under the bed. I told by the service department that Heartland has tightened down on warranty claims and I can see why they would go bankrupt if they had to fix all the problems. The workmanship is very very poor plus they are cutting corners where ever they can. For example there are places around the floor and ceiling where you think they forgot to put trim, but no they just don't put it on your left with looking at paneling ends with Staples. To many issues to list I need the time to fix them. Don't sign the papers unless it is perfect, no will help you after it leaves the lot.

Two months ago I bought a 2021 Heartland Torque T331 from a wholesale dealer in Ohio. Ever since I took delivery of it, there has been constant problems. Some of them include a broken awning bracket, a broken refrigerator handle, a water leak under the sink causing significant water damage, a water leak from the black tank flush hose under the king bed frame, a broken recessed floor mount for the table, front door sticks and won't shut correctly, a valance that busted off wall when I lowered the top bunk in the garage (due to their placement), among other things. Heartland Customer Service SUCKS!! They transferred me 8 times and disconnected me when I tried to file a warranty claim. My toyhauler looks great but their craftsmanship gets a big fat ZERO. This was assembled and built in March, who the heck inspected this unit before delivery to the dealer. Someone drilled a screw through a water line and another line was not even connected and tightened. Not a good impression on my first time with a Heartland product.

We purchased this 5th wheel in the spring of 2015 new. Within 9 months the bumper & frame in the landing legs compartment were rusted. Heartland refused to fix, stated rust wasn't covered under warranty. We had an Outback for 6 years prior to this purchase & it did not have any rust on it when we traded it in. My husband had sand & repaint the bumper & frame himself. At the same time the landing legs would not go up all the way with the motor, it would start straining and blow the fuse requiring us to manually raise the legs. We were traveling & no Heartland dealer would work on it because we didn't buy it there. Other camper repair places would also not work on it. We were told the reason they don't want to do warranty work is because Heartland is horrible about paying & they have to fight to get their money. The problems are never ending, the trim work is all bowed, we have had to repair the refrigerator. Paint is peeling off the inside of the microwave, rubber trim work on outside is cracking & peeling. We have had so many problems I can't remember them all. Most recently on the inside of one of the slide outs the trim work is pulling loose & we use support bars under our slide outs. Today we arrived at our destination to find that the bumper is broken & pulling off where it is connected to the camper. We are thankful that it did not come completely off on the road and crash into a vehicle behind us along with our bikes. There are no words to describe our disappointment in this product. Heartland has been of absolutely no help, they do not stand behind their product, once you pull it off the lot you are on your own. My husband has been forced to make the repairs himself because it is so hard to find anyone to work on it. We will NEVER buy another Heartland product and we try to tell everyone about our experience so they will not have to go through the same thing.

This is our second heartland trailer. Would never buy another. Bought trailer new in 2021 (After dealership fixed for 2 hours what we could see) late season. Opened trailer up May 2022 with many issues. Trim coming off, stables coming through floor, windows popping out, doors not closing, hinges missing screws and many more. The big one at the moment is our furnace. At first too much heat coming through bathroom vent so hot it burned a foot and melted the register. Looked at furnace and ductwork was back from the heat. The fix from service was to run a duct to the outside of the trailer. Service kept coming back then eventually season was done. New season new problems. We now have a furnace that just stops running so no heat. Heartland response sorry your warranty has expired

My wife liked the floor plan of this unit I wanted to buy a Passport. We bought this Mallard new 2016 and have had nothing but problems with it first trip outdoor kitchen hatch leaked water around seals took three 60 mile trips to camping world to get that fixed next trip stabalizer jacks stopped working electrical problem LED lights on front quit electrical ( Recall for fire hazard no notification)monitoring panel stopped working wire pulled out of loose wire nut furnace quit while on deer hunting trip igniter took 3 months to get it replaced under warranty for all of these. Out of warranty front bedroom lights quit working (wire nut loose wire pulled out) lights in kitchen quit (Wire nut issue wire pulled out) Slide out in the Bunk house quit working no power to switch found loose wire nut which did not correct problem called Heartland for guidance service dpatment told me if it was not a fuse they didn't know but may be bad motor which I bought which didn't correct problem. Toilet leaked bad preassure valve Water pump quit working replaced pump. Heartland kept telling me to take camper into dealer out of warranty at $145.00 per hour and a 120 mile round trip and loss of use for weeks at a time which being a campground manager I could not do. All of these issues were or are caused by piss poor quality If I knew then what know now I would have went with the Passport. Will never buy a Heartland product again.
