From the day i bought this unit it has had all kinds of electrical issues. After several ruined vacations and things filling the unit with smoke several times Campers world discovered that the power cord had a hot neutral. So heartland requested the cord back for testing, that is to be excepted. But wait HEARTLAND DOES NOT TEST ANYTHING. They send the defective cord or ie part to the manufacture of the part to say yes or no good or bad. So in this case if the cord manufacture says its bad they assume 8k worth of damage. When the cord was at heartland i asked for the cord to be marked so if or when the cord tests good we can get it back, Nope we don't do that either. so here we are today Heartland says that the the cord is good all claims denied. At first they said it was a loose wire. When campers world said ok that is a defect and should be covered the story changed. Now its i took a power surge 3 different times at 3 different locations with a surge arrester on the rv. NOT POSSIBLE At this moment campers world is trying to do what they can and i have a 65000 dollar rv that is broken and Heartland wont do the right thing to fix it. STAY AWAY FROM HEARTLAND THE WILL NOT DO THE RIGHT THING.

We bought the trailer brand new from the dealership. The first thing we noticed was the entire inside of the trailer was soaked after traveling through a rainstorm. Both Heartland and the dealer did not want to fix but Heartland Warranty suggested to file an insurance claim and they would then fix it. After posting a video of the water leak on the Heartland website did they get interested in fixing the leak. The wiper seal was torn. The next thing was the converter and microwave were destroyed due to low voltage. Both the dealer and Heartland would not fix cause they stated that it was a problem at the campsite. Their suggestion was to file a claim against the campground. Spent better part of this season trying to figure out the electrical issues. No dealer could tell me why the trailer had an open neutral. Pulled the 50 amp plug from the back of the trailer and found that Heartland had broke the plug on the backside of the wall. They decided to use it anyway and just taped over the screws. All of the screws were loose causing the open neutral. Heartland declined to reimburse me for a $67.00 part as it was out of warranty. The caliber of a company is measured after the sale. I will never buy and suggest to everyone else to purchase a Thor Industry product as the service after the sale is not in line with their own Corporate Standards.

My wife liked the floor plan of this unit I wanted to buy a Passport. We bought this Mallard new 2016 and have had nothing but problems with it first trip outdoor kitchen hatch leaked water around seals took three 60 mile trips to camping world to get that fixed next trip stabalizer jacks stopped working electrical problem LED lights on front quit electrical ( Recall for fire hazard no notification)monitoring panel stopped working wire pulled out of loose wire nut furnace quit while on deer hunting trip igniter took 3 months to get it replaced under warranty for all of these. Out of warranty front bedroom lights quit working (wire nut loose wire pulled out) lights in kitchen quit (Wire nut issue wire pulled out) Slide out in the Bunk house quit working no power to switch found loose wire nut which did not correct problem called Heartland for guidance service dpatment told me if it was not a fuse they didn't know but may be bad motor which I bought which didn't correct problem. Toilet leaked bad preassure valve Water pump quit working replaced pump. Heartland kept telling me to take camper into dealer out of warranty at $145.00 per hour and a 120 mile round trip and loss of use for weeks at a time which being a campground manager I could not do. All of these issues were or are caused by piss poor quality If I knew then what know now I would have went with the Passport. Will never buy a Heartland product again.

My recent encounter with Heartland Travel Trailers has been nothing short of disappointing. Initially drawn in by the positive reputation and enticing features, I was genuinely considering purchasing one of their products. However, after witnessing the appalling quality of manufacturing on my brother-in-law's 2022 Heartland trailer, I am left with no choice but to share my concerns and dissuade others from making the same mistake.
The laundry list of Quality Control (QC) issues we observed was simply shocking. A crucial stabilizing jack was inexplicably broken, and loose trim panels on the exterior gave a shoddy first impression. But the real horrors started to unfold inside the trailer. The countertop, for instance, had a fastener pushing through, which speaks volumes about the lack of attention to detail during construction.
The most alarming problems, however, revolved around the plumbing and electrical systems. Loose plumbing connections led to flooding, posing a significant safety hazard, and the electrical panel was carelessly miss-wired. As if that weren't enough, we found that the door framing was completely out of plumb, and the wall paneling was visibly buckling at the seams—hardly the sign of a well-crafted product.
But the icing on the cake was the slide-out mechanism. Not only did it stop functioning entirely, but the manual crank broke while attempting to bring it in. This left us feeling stranded and further exacerbated our frustration with Heartland's lack of manufacturing standards.
I understand that no product is perfect, and flaws can happen, but the sheer magnitude of issues in a supposedly reputable travel trailer manufacturer is astonishing. Heartland's disregard for quality control and the lack of attention to detail make it difficult to believe that they truly value their customers' satisfaction.
As a potential customer, I am genuinely concerned about the safety and reliability of Heartland's trailers. I would strongly advise anyone considering a Heartland purchase to think twice before making such a significant investment.
I hope that Heartland RVs takes these concerns seriously and implements necessary changes to improve their manufacturing processes. Until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend their products to anyone.
In conclusion, my experience with Heartland Travel Trailers has been far from pleasant. I will be exploring other brands that prioritize customer safety and quality craftsmanship.

It\'s heavy.. But thats ok.. To big for one person.. And while I\'m not completely dissatisfied with it, I am more than a little disappointed with it.. Straight off the lot, the grey water tank from the kitchen area came loose. Trim falling off inside and out.. Air blows thru the windows , closed or not.. Something is happening to the floor covering, i don\'t know what it is but its rolling up in the middle.. Hydraulic jacks will not level. Paneling for the cabinets is starting to :wrinkle:?.. Although I haven\'t had electrical issues, the wiring looks like it was pieced together off the shop floor. And now, due to a hail storm in Canada, I have a busted skylight in the washroom over the shower.. Not really a big deal, EXCEPT THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT. I\'m going to have to get one custom made?!?!?! This is ridiculous .. If I EVER get rid of this thing.. I will NEVER buy another Heartland product again and I will not recommend one.. I bought this unit new, I am the only person to use it, and I do my best to take care of it.. But the quality is less than poor.. And for the money that is paid for these things, it should be a priority.

Since we have owned our 2016 DS310 my wife and I have had numerous issues. First an electrical issue that continuously blew fuses for my tow vehicle (two different trucks and even the Brand New Service truck at dealer had issues with plugging into my trailer). After 3 attempts to fix they think they finally got it. However, they had to remove the Front Fascia and most of the front of the trailer to fix the grounded wires between the frame and the floor. Now move onto a new issue that is a result of the previous work OR a manufacturer defect. I have a rotted floor in the Right Front Storage area. It is the width of the storage area and approximately 2-1/2 feet into the center of the trailer. It was found when something I was storing in there about fell through to the ground since the particle board was totally rotted out. On-line research about this revealed this issue has happened before on earlier years. I have a water leak in the rear of the trailer from under the outside sink. The cold water supply is leaking from the clamp connection. BUT when I opened the panel under the sink to see it, I found Sunflower seed shells, metal shavings, and a hole punched in the wall (between the sink and the bathroom) with nothing going through it. The filth and mess under there can only of come from the factory when it was being built. And finally I have a Split Wall in the Trailer next to the Power Breaker Box. It has separated from the floor to about 3 feet up. The trailer is stored on level ground. NONE of this should be happening, period! All of this is extremely upsetting since I have only used the trailer 7 times in the 1-1/2 years of ownership. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER HEARTLAND PRODUCT. I really just want it fixed and gone! I cannot in good conscious travel with a travel trailer that will fall apart around my family.
