PRIOR OWNERSHIP OF THE GRAND DESIGN TRAILER HAS PRESENTED MINOR ISSUES SUCH AS: WATER PUMP, THERMOSTAT, CIRCUIT BOARD ON WATER HEATER, PROPANE REGULATOR. NOTHING THAT SHUT ME DOWN THAT I COULD NOT REPAIR OR GO TO PLAN B. LITTLE WATER LEAK AT KITCHEN WINDOW, EASY FIX. IN THE MARINES WE LEARN TO ADAPT, IMPROVISE, AND OVERCOME! I HAVE SOLD MY PREVIOUS UNITS TO MY WORKERS AND THEY STILL HAVE THEM! THE TWO BEST PRODUCTS OF GRAND DESIGN ARE THE XLS SERIES AND THE REFLECTION SERIES. BIG TRAILERS=BIG PROBLEMS! LITTLE TRAILERS=LITTLE PROBLEMS! LIKE WITH KIDS!

Bought this in 2022 to replace a 2008 Keystone Passport 255BH. From day one there were many problems! 1st trip I couldn't get the door open, the rear storage door would close, panels popped loose from the walls, water heater didn't work, trailer brakes didn't work. From here the problems kept getting worse. I contacted Grand Design but they did NOTHING. My dealer fixed what they could but the problem lies in the walls, meaning the walls shift while being towed and causes tons of issue. The dealer contacted Grand Design and they said the door keeps sticking closed because it was hot and in the sun causing the door to swell. It's now 2023 and my list of problems has grown to 3 pages worth and guess what?! Grand Design won't stick behind their product..

Do not walk, RUN to a different manufacturer to purchase an RV. we've had so many problems with our 2018 Imagine 3170BH its impossible to detail them all here. Our biggest complaints are the water leaks causing mold growth and electrical problems. We've never had electricity in the outdoor kitchen and now have had so many problems with the heating/furnace that it has become become necessary to have a second thermostat just to run the furnace. These Rv's are poorly constructed and are fire hazards due to the electrical issues. Grand Design has never been responsive nor has the dealer. We've given up trying to work with either so absolutely can not recommend buying any of Grand Design models. These RV'S cost a higher premium so buy something less expensive, it will be even more economical in the long run.

I have had my reflection for 8 months. I travel for work so I spend a lot of time in it. So far I have really enjoyed the RV. No major problems as of yet. The only issue I am currently having is the water supply lines to the kitchen are constantly freezing up. No issues with the bathroom because the water lines to it are in the heated pass through. The kitchen sink however is approximately 20 feet from the bathroom and freezes up easily. Maybe a design issue. Other than that I love my grand design.

After having a great 9 years with my grand design reflection I made the mistake of trading it in on a new solitude. They are allowing lippert to put sub par equipment in their RV's. The tankless water heater(Furrion) had to be replaced at 6 months, I have been without a fridge(12 volt furrion) for 2 months. Dealerships don't even want to mess with them, Lippert is holding them up for getting parts now that I finally got it in . Also having problems with the tank valves which I never had in 9 years with the reflection. I bought a $147,000. lemon, never again. Grand design has went downhill and is no longer deserving of their previous reputation

If you're thinking about buying a Grand Design RV—don’t. I trusted this brand, and by extension, Winnebago Industries. I believed I was investing in quality, reliability, and peace of mind. Instead, my Momentum 397 has been a constant source of frustration—frame flex, upper deck separation, and a manufacturer that refuses to take real responsibility. The “repairs” they offer are nothing more than temporary patches. The problems keep coming back. I’ve tried escalating—respectfully, professionally—even CC’ing Grand Design CEO Don Clark. They didn’t help. They blocked my emails. And now, they’ve blocked me on Facebook too—because they don’t want real customers telling the truth. Saturday, I refused delivery of my camper. It’s already on its way back to Indiana. I was explicitly clear: the unit was to return spotless. Instead, it came back in worse condition than when it left. Here’s the reality: Paint: More defects than before, especially in the phylon area. Phylon: Scratched beyond belief—it was flawless before Grand Design touched it. Cleanliness: Metal drill shavings on the floor, sawdust throughout the unit (even in the rear sink), and someone stood on our mattress with shoes. TV & Mounting: The main TV was loose during transit, bouncing around and damaging the mount. Caulking: Sloppy, rushed, and careless. Missing in spots, globbed in others, smeared all over. Water Intrusion: Water in the front compartment near the batteries—clear negligence. This is appalling. I trusted Grand Design with my camper, and instead of being repaired to a higher standard, it was returned in a condition that’s flat-out insulting. If this is the level of detail on visible items, how can I trust that the actual repairs were done correctly? I’ve taken extensive photos documenting every issue and will be sending them in multiple emails. At this point, we have a serious problem. I expect a conference call Monday with every responsible party—including Don Clark and, if necessary, the CEO of Winnebago. No excuses. And to top it off, a Grand Design dealer offered me $49,000 on trade for a unit with an MSRP of $185,000. That’s how little they value their own product. This isn’t just my story—it’s happening to others too. Grand Design knows it. Winnebago knows it. But they’re not stepping in. We deserve better.

We like the floor plan but that’s about all we like. We choose Grand design thinking we were getting a top notch product. The trailer has been used 4 times by 2 adults and so far we have had 4 water leaks and now we have to install a new leaking toilet. The shower floor felt weak so the repair man looked under the shower floor and 3/4ths the floor is reinforced and 1/4 th of the floor isn’t reinforced. So I guess the next problem will be replacing the shower floor. No I would not buy a Grand Design no matter how beautiful they look on the outside. Our 20 year old Sunline trailer was made well and we never had any problems. The only thing good about this RV is the inside lay out. Hope this review is helpful & taken seriously.

I would recommend running away, to another brand. We have owned our 395m for about 7 months. Something breaks about once a week, leaks, doors hung wrong and so on, with a major issue every other month, refrigerator took 2 months in service, now the water heater and that was after they 'fixed'the first round of problems. I will never buy another grand design and would absolutely not recommend anyone else to get one. We have had some luck getting grand design to approve repairs but it takes forever and God forbid it is a sub part, then you have to go thru that supplier service. It doesn't help that something else breaks right away. Never again. Horrible quality. Have to add air bags to help the bucking during towing. If I had the money I would go buy something else and drop this thing off at the nearest junkyard.

I would never recommend buying any sort of RV that Grand Design builds. We bought our camper in May of 2020, a 367 Reflection, artic package. We went with this camper because we live in ours full time. The big seller on this was the artic package that Grand Design put in the camper. This package includes many different elements that you can look up online. Many of which were not included on our camper even though it was sold as an artic package. This includes, heated tanks, insulated slide out floors, and some of our water lines to our kitchen sink were not placed in the heated area. After picking up our camper we immediately had to take it back in to be serviced because there were so many issues: *Our toilet leaked sewer water *Awning was cut too short and was coming off the track *Awning light didn’t work *Kitchen slide out had a hole in the bottom that we could see outside *Bedroom door frame was too large for the door so it wouldn’t shut *Propane switch valve didn’t work *Auto leveling was off *Outside water port didn’t work *Microwave didn’t work These were all things that were wrong when we picked the camper up, brand new. Since then we have not gone one month without having problems in our camper. *Oven went out *Converter went out *Fridge went out *Staples sticking out of the carpet *Two kitchen chairs broke *Heated recliners stopped working *We found garbage in the underbelly when we were looking to see where our lines had frozen When we called Grand Design after many months dealing with problems to tell them what was going on, the guy simply said, “I’m sorry to hear that, but humans make these campers, so its just human error.” Our most recent problem has been the fridge going out. It has been a month now that we have lived without a fridge and Grand Design seems to just be giving us the run around. Their company takes no pride in their work and they make getting anything fixed through warranty so hard that you almost want to just give up. We have had nothing but problems with our camper, they are the worst company to deal with and do not ever buy anything of theirs. The only person I can say who has been a huge help is Michele with customer service. She has been amazing and has done whatever she can to help us.
