Everyone. My husband and I WERE huge Grand Design fans. That is until our May 2020 purchase of a 2021 Grand Design!! We previously own a 2017 Grand Design reflection 3315RLST which was TOP quality!!! We bought the 3315RLST to have more room for full time volunteering for a Corps of Engineers campground on a local lake. 3 yrs later we gave up th position and begin camping again but the unit was so big it was hard to get sites. After having a great 9 years with my grand design reflection I made the mistake of trading it in on a new solitude. They are allowing lippert to put sub par equipment in their RV's. The tankless water heater(Furrion) had to be replaced at 6 months, I have been without a fridge(12 volt furrion) for 2 months. Dealerships don't even want to mess with them, Lippert is holding them up for getting parts now that I finally got it in . Also having problems with the tank valves which I never had in 9 years with the reflection. I bought a $147,000. lemon, never again. THIS IS MY 4TH GRAND DESIGN IMAGINE XLS. SECOND 18RBE. PREVIOUS TRAILERS WERE 2150RB, 18RBE, 17MKE, PRESENT 18RBE. NO RV IS PERFECT. I HAVE SEEN PEOPLE WITH AIRSTREAMS THAT HAD ISSUES! PRIOR OWNERSHIP OF THE GRAND DESIGN TRAILER HAS PRESENTED MINOR ISSUES SUCH AS: WATER PUMP, THERMOSTAT, CIRCUIT BOARD ON WATER HEATER, PROPANE REGULATOR. NOTHING THAT SHUT ME DOWN THAT I COULD NOT REPAIR OR GO TO PLAN B. LITTLE WATER LEAK AT KITCHEN WINDOW, EASY FIX. IN THE MARINES WE LEARN TO ADAPT, IMPROVISE, AND OVERCOME! I HAVE SOLD MY PREVIOUS UNITS TO MY WORKERS AND THEY STILL HAVE THEM! THE TWO BEST PRODUCTS OF GRAND DESIGN ARE THE XLS SERIES AND THE REFLECTION SERIES. BIG TRAILERS=BIG PROBLEMS! I have had my reflection for 8 months. I travel for work so I spend a lot of time in it. So far I have really enjoyed the RV. No major problems as of yet. The only issue I am currently having is the water supply lines to the kitchen are constantly freezing up. No issues with the bathroom because the water lines to it are in the heated pass through. The kitchen sink however is approximately 20 feet from the bathroom and freezes up easily. Maybe a design issue. Other than that I love my grand design. Show less

Absolutely loved the Grand Design Reflection 5th wheel when purchased. However, that became a love hate relationship very quickly. Immediately started having various problems with the 5th wheel. What topped it off is that it is now an 80k+ paperweight. The slide out completely fell out of the 5th wheel and almost crushed a person when it did. Due to manufacture defect. Grand design now refuses to work with on getting it repaired. This company is going through multiple lawsuits for manufacturer defects that they don't want to and refuse to do anything about. My advice to anyone that is looking at any of their products. Do your research. We will never purchase anything from this company. We will make sure that we let everyone that we know not to purchase from them as well. I will be going on every website that I can to leave a review and warn other people about Grand Designs Business practices. Shame on them! Show less

In December of 2017 I purchased a 2018 Reflection RL337RlS from General RV in Jacksonville Florida. I love the design of the Reflection but we began to have problems with the Dometic 1350 four door refrigerator immediately. We had to take it back to Gen RV to replace the fuses. The Refrigerator could not hold its temperature. In August we were on a trip and we are missionaries and the refrigerator completely went out. We called a repairman suggested by Dometic and he told us the refrigerator was bad and needed to be replaced. We took the 5th wheel to General RV in Dover Florida. The unit was their for over two months. General RV Replaced the cooling coils and that did not work. After I contacted Grand Design they got involved. They finally replaced the refrigerator. The refrigerator worked for two months and went out again. We took it to a Port Charlotte RV and they worked on it and found the it was a design flaw. The refrigerator does not have enough fan to lower the temperature. The problem is that it is in a slide out and does not have proper ventilation. I went on Facebook at a Reflection 337RLS blog and found that many were having this problem. At this time the fifth wheel for the fifth time is back in the repair shop and I do not know the outcome. Their is a fix and Grand Design is not willing to do it. The unit can be replaced with a Samsung 18 cubic ft electrical refrigerator with some minor modifications. We have lost hundreds of dollars of food. Grand Design did pay for a small 3.2 cubic ft electric refrigerator. But this is not very large and holds a small amount of food. I have tried to get Grand Design to work with me to purchase the Samsung but the policy they have is replace or fix. We are looking at a third replacement. It is really a shame that you purchase a fifth-wheel for over 50K and you cannot enjoy it. I am probably going to have to replace this unit with the Samsung to enjoy my RV. The cost of that is over $2000.00 out of pocket expense. My suggestion to all buyers beware of this problem with the refrigerator as many RL337 owners are having a problem and are having to buy and replace the Dometic with the Samsung out of their own pocket. I have not had any other problems with this unit and find it to be a well made unit. If you want a well made unit with a refrigerator that will break down then buy it or upgrade it. We have had a pop up, a 25ft 5th,a 33ft Georgetown motorhome and now the Grand Design Reflection 303RLS, so this is not our first rodeo. shower valve leaked inside wall, water manifold had crack,kitchen sink cracked,island had to be moved(it hit table)and both slides went out of alignment so Bad EVERY year that the rug by recliners and table was ruined And the linoleum in front of entertainment center ripped. It spends more time in the shop than a campgrounds or our house !!!! Show less

This RV is a piece of junk. We bought it brand new. Very poor quality. Furniture is cracking and peeling. We have went through tons of light bulbs because of poor quality lighting. Had to have a new air conditioner installed within one year of purchase. Refrigerator burns through fuses. Bed lift stopped within months of purchase. Cheap TV and does not work through the speaker system throughout the trailer. Here is the best of all. We are on a permanent site and do not travel in it. I cannot imagine the problems we would have if we were on the road. Run away from the Grand Design Reflection. Show less

We purchased a Grand Design Reflection 220RK, 5th wheel RV in September of 2018. It has been one problem after another with this RV. In Sept of 2019 I had to take it into the dealer to have the drawers and pantry shelves repaired, as they were coming apart. The plastic wheel skirts kept breaking. I am on my 3rd set and they are broken also. From there it was other issues that needed to be repaired or replaced. The problems got bigger and more expensive to repair, a thousand dollars here and there. I took it back to the dealer on January of 2022, to repair a leaking shower drain. The dealer told me the damage was caused by the furnace heat exchanger that was too close to the shower pan, causing it to melt. That repair for the shower pan replacement and to move the heat exchanger back away from the new shower pan cost us $1,107.50 that time.
