Run as fast as you can from new RV models, we went thru 2020 Grand Design Momentum 28G and then a 2021 Grand Design Momentum 25G, both had to be sent back- fell completely apart, total waste of time and money, start looking for older models- after 2008 things started getting bad, I have too many details to even write down about the experience, trust me there is a Industry problem right now, maybe there are a few high end models but I do not see anything lately worth Investing in, totally just my opinion!!! Our Grand Design Momentum 350 was a delight to own! We enjoyed the whole make-up of the toy hauler, and we were sad to see it leave. We certainly made great memories that will last a lifetime in our RV. Show less

I’m sure everyone like my wife and I want to get away and an RV and enjoy the experience and go to different places. My wife and I had a 2009 stellar eclipse toy hauler over the years. We had to replace many of the junk parts that they put on this unit. My wife and I would always notice the Grand Design momentum has been the top of the class draft about buying one for six years and then decided this year. We pulled the plug and bought one. The momentum 320 G looks good from the outside, but things went wrong the very beginning on the first day of our first trip the middle air condition went out that took seven weeks to repair. On second trip the generator would start. It doesn’t look like a bright future for traveling in our Grand Design momentum 322. I will never and I mean work with bretz rv in Boise idaho. Very poor customer service. Bought brand new momentum grand design toy hauler. First trip air conditioner goes out. Back doors fell off. Water stop working. Then next trip no water again. Refrigerator stop working. Back doors fell off again. The back patio gate bent. This is the worst trailer ever. Bretz has done nothing to resolve. I regret purchasing the Grand Design Momentum 350M. Grand Design does NOT stand behind their product. This RV will make news for safety issues not being addressed, it’s a fire hazard waiting. I’m looking for anyone that has a similar issue of a DRY ROTTED FUEL LINE... The leaking fuel line runs the entire length of the toy hauler against the frame rail and the belly is completely enclosed with foam sealant and winter weather protection. I’ve contacted the place of purchase Windish RV in Longmont CO and they passed me onto Grand Design directly. I talked to Joe Charles the warranty manager at Grand Design and without investigating into my claim, he says “this will probably be a maintenance item”.. I asked him to explain how does he come up this possibly being a maintenance item? This is clearly a fire hazard having a leaking gas line on the toy hauler. There’s not a place in our country that would allow you to occupy a dwelling with a leaking gas line. The estimate from the shop to make the necessary repairs for the dry rotted fuel line is over $2k and that’s not including any gas soaked items not seen. I have consulted with an attorney, and if Grand Design refuses to stand behind their unsafe RV, I will make a spectacle of them in court. Show less

Not a great rig it lived at the dealership service bay the entire 8 months we owned it. Purchased at Trailer Hitch RV with all the options. The good- Light weight 5th wheel. Factory solar, excellent LED flood lights, ceiling fan and extremely hot water. The Bad- Did I say it lived at Trailer Hitches service bay? Shower leaked from under the floor, Stereo stopped working, Dometic fridge handles broke more than 5 times(look at them and they break) rear happi jack beds kept breaking, cabinet doors would randomly fall off, Slide would rub my Can Am X3's driver door, couch was the most uncomfortable ever. Traded it in for a Momentum 349 and life's good, Grand Design has customer service... Attitude wont even answer the phone let alone send parts to you like Grand Design. Thank you TH RV Show less

I decided to trade in my Motorhome for a Toy Hauler and chose Grand Design because of the supposedly good reviews they have that are very questionable today. I picked up my new Momentum 29G in December 2023, it was supposed to bring us fun and adventure. During the first rain, water started coming in through both sliders, the generator stopped working, black water started leaking, and the reclining seats came loose. I took it under warranty, they had it for 3 months. I went out in the RV and during the first rain, the same problem, water through both sliders and the generator not working. Three months again under warranty, they let me know it was ready, I pick it up and the same problem continues, water coming in through the sliders and the generator not working. 10 months later without using the camper, it is scheduled to go under warranty again. I have called and written to Grand Design and they have not resolved anything. This is my third RV, my first Grand Design and it will be the last. Show less

Purchased our 2021 Grand Design Momentum from RV One in Fort Myers FL. Ordered it custom paint with every option. Arrived later than promised. Took on first trip and what a nightmare! Water leaking in trailer, compartments, compartments don’t lock, outside stereo has only one working speaker, outside subwoofer makes a ringing sound, that’s it, can’t separate volume from inside and outside, pocket doors finish peeling off, front door frame not in even, huge gap around the frame, drawers don’t close even, black tank won’t completely flush, and SO much more. I have photos and videos to prove all this and have sent to Grand Design. Yet, we still have a poorly designed and non working fifth wheel! We paid over 100,000.00 for this and purchased because they advertise the Best PDI, Pre Delivery Inspection, in the industry. Obviously this is NOT true. No one could of inspected this unit before they shipped to selling dealer. We have taken on vacation 3 weeks total and the rest of the time it is at RV One waiting repairs! We planned on living in this unit and now have to wait until it’s livable. It is a crime to sell these at top dollar and sell inferior trailers. I will Never but another Grand Design in my lifetime! I am contacting Attorney General to see what can be done. Anyone else having same problems, we can get a Class Action Lawsuit? It’s under warranty and we even purchased 7 year extended warranty. Yet, here we are waiting months for repair and even radio was back ordered! RV One in Fort Myers is not helpful at all. Service is deplorable! It sits for months with them not working on it. A warranty claim has not even been opened on it! What are they doing, waiting for warranty to run out? I would highly suggest NOT purchasing a Grand Design RV and not using RV One!!! Everyone wants to blame Covid for holding things up. If Grand Design actually did pre delivery inspections, we would not be going through any of this! Both companies get your money and then could care less! Hoping at least others read and save the mistake we did. Show less

We purchased a 2020 25g Momentum From La Mesa Rv in florida I took our camper to Lazy Days to get warranty Repairs done which was a waste of time the absolute worse service Dept on this earth , I called Grand Designs Main office and spoke with the head Service Advisor and his assistant over 3 phone calls to try and get my leaking gasoline nozzle replaced and other issues , same old song and dance to cheap to send me a 20 dollar fuel handle I guess they would rather the camper set on fire !! Since Grand Design sold out to Winnebago this companys customer service has gone to hell , The original company lived buy great customer service , sorry to say it no longer there I wont be Dealing with these people anymore i will stick with Thor or any other Family owned Builder.
