Don't buy a 2020 351M Grand Design Momentum from DIxie RV it could have killed my family. We had a Carbon-monoxide leak from the exhaust system of the generator. It leaked into our camper from the slide out while we were in the mountains dry camping. We purchased this camper the end of August and used it the middle of October. We have had multiple problems with it which some were repaired others not even addressed. Some repairs were done shoddy and now the slide doesn't align with the trailer. Grand Design say they can't duplicate the carbon monoxide leak in Louisiana however we were in the mountains in Colorado different altitude. However a simple smoke test we did when we got it home after they had it for 11 week and we only had it for 10 weeks showed the smoke was entering into the camper. We had multiple issue even with the hydraulic system going completely out on us and it would attach to our truck or once Lippert walked us through attaching it by overriding the system. Thank the lord we had tool and my husband is a mechanically inclined person we were able to attach it to our truck but we couldn't detach it until we brought it back to the dealership. We have problems with the water holding takings not registering 100% after trying to fill then for 30 plus minutes to be told the sensors were probably bad. We had the kitchen slide out to come out on the top twice while turning a corners trying to go up the mountain to reach our destination. To fix this issue they took off one of our slide out support brackets and bolted on another bracket an inch higher then the other one. Well doing this it took the body alignment out of place. To make a long story short DO NOT BUY a 2020 351M GRAND DESIGN MOMENTUM fro DIXIE RV you'll regret it. We now had to get an attorney involved because they will not do anything or have done shoddy work.

My husband and I bought a brand new 2017 Grand Design Momentum August of 2017. Have less than 4000 miles on the tires that came on the RV. We went on vacation and two of the tires lost their tread doing a lot of damage under the camper. Both tires were still holding air and we were able to get to a safe place to put on the spare. The hydraulics system is shot, not to mention the hole that has exposed the hoses and the cracked and bent fender. We had to not only stop to buy a spare tire, but had to buy stabilizers because the ones on the camper were useless. My husband and I have been in the tire/tire repair business for a combined total of more than 50 years. The tires were properly inflated and were not running hot, we checked several times during the drive. We don’t take chances with the safety of our family. I wonder if the owners and officers of Grand Design would pull a 5th wheel with these tires. The second tire that lost its tread, we had just stopped and checked the tires. There was no outward sign that the tire was defective. Found out from the dealer and Grand Design that the damage these cheap and in my opinion defective tires caused is not covered in any way. Grand Design told us we would have to talk to the tire company that they got the tires from. Guess what, they will only cover the tires and the wheels if damaged. I don’t think I want to put the same tires on the camper. Also found out the extended warranty that the dealer sold us that they told us would cover tire damage, does not. My suggestion is to not buy Grand Design. They do not stand behind their product. If you do buy, upgrade the tires. We were lucky it didn't cause a wreck and the tread did not hit other cars. I am not going into detail about the other many problems that we have had with the camper. We took it to the dealer to repair and they had the camper for weeks and still did not fix a number of the problems. This is posted on Grand Design’s website. At Grand Design our goal is simply…Continue leading the industry with quality products while improving the customer’s RV experience before, during, and after the sale. We would be honored to personally welcome you to the Grand Design family! Maybe they should read this more often!!!!!

Haven't had any issues with this coach full time living in it with spouse. Rides real nice no cabinets shacking or loose window noises. In our opinion this model seems to be the best one we’ve owned. We pulled a Grand Design 29Go momentum nothing but problems traded for another toy hauler same issues leaks cabinets falling our truck had a part on recall for def so out of service for 2months we just decided after all the ups and downs why not go simple so as retired truck drivers we decided to have the road experience like we did in our rig but have it all kitchen full bathroom fridge stove all in one easy way to travel on the road again.

Purchased our 2021 Grand Design Momentum from RV One in Fort Myers FL. Ordered it custom paint with every option. Arrived later than promised. Took on first trip and what a nightmare! Water leaking in trailer, compartments, compartments don’t lock, outside stereo has only one working speaker, outside subwoofer makes a ringing sound, that’s it, can’t separate volume from inside and outside, pocket doors finish peeling off, front door frame not in even, huge gap around the frame, drawers don’t close even, black tank won’t completely flush, and SO much more. I have photos and videos to prove all this and have sent to Grand Design. Yet, we still have a poorly designed and non working fifth wheel! We paid over 100,000.00 for this and purchased because they advertise the Best PDI, Pre Delivery Inspection, in the industry. Obviously this is NOT true. No one could of inspected this unit before they shipped to selling dealer. We have taken on vacation 3 weeks total and the rest of the time it is at RV One waiting repairs! We planned on living in this unit and now have to wait until it’s livable. It is a crime to sell these at top dollar and sell inferior trailers. I will Never but another Grand Design in my lifetime! I am contacting Attorney General to see what can be done. Anyone else having same problems, we can get a Class Action Lawsuit? It’s under warranty and we even purchased 7 year extended warranty. Yet, here we are waiting months for repair and even radio was back ordered! RV One in Fort Myers is not helpful at all. Service is deplorable! It sits for months with them not working on it. A warranty claim has not even been opened on it! What are they doing, waiting for warranty to run out? I would highly suggest NOT purchasing a Grand Design RV and not using RV One!!! Everyone wants to blame Covid for holding things up. If Grand Design actually did pre delivery inspections, we would not be going through any of this! Both companies get your money and then could care less! Hoping at least others read and save the mistake we did.

If you're thinking about buying a Grand Design RV—don’t. I trusted this brand, and by extension, Winnebago Industries. I believed I was investing in quality, reliability, and peace of mind. Instead, my Momentum 397 has been a constant source of frustration—frame flex, upper deck separation, and a manufacturer that refuses to take real responsibility. The “repairs” they offer are nothing more than temporary patches. The problems keep coming back. I’ve tried escalating—respectfully, professionally—even CC’ing Grand Design CEO Don Clark. They didn’t help. They blocked my emails. And now, they’ve blocked me on Facebook too—because they don’t want real customers telling the truth. Saturday, I refused delivery of my camper. It’s already on its way back to Indiana. I was explicitly clear: the unit was to return spotless. Instead, it came back in worse condition than when it left. Here’s the reality: Paint: More defects than before, especially in the phylon area. Phylon: Scratched beyond belief—it was flawless before Grand Design touched it. Cleanliness: Metal drill shavings on the floor, sawdust throughout the unit (even in the rear sink), and someone stood on our mattress with shoes. TV & Mounting: The main TV was loose during transit, bouncing around and damaging the mount. Caulking: Sloppy, rushed, and careless. Missing in spots, globbed in others, smeared all over. Water Intrusion: Water in the front compartment near the batteries—clear negligence. This is appalling. I trusted Grand Design with my camper, and instead of being repaired to a higher standard, it was returned in a condition that’s flat-out insulting. If this is the level of detail on visible items, how can I trust that the actual repairs were done correctly? I’ve taken extensive photos documenting every issue and will be sending them in multiple emails. At this point, we have a serious problem. I expect a conference call Monday with every responsible party—including Don Clark and, if necessary, the CEO of Winnebago. No excuses. And to top it off, a Grand Design dealer offered me $49,000 on trade for a unit with an MSRP of $185,000. That’s how little they value their own product. This isn’t just my story—it’s happening to others too. Grand Design knows it. Winnebago knows it. But they’re not stepping in. We deserve better.

We searched many different RV's that would fit our needs. As with any RV, there must be a compromise between what is wanted, and what is available in the size/class you are buying. We settled on a Momentum G320 based mostly on the floor plan, features, and the limitations of our tow vehicle. The first issue was we found the 50amp power cord was bad (no power on one leg). This could have been discovered at the dealer during purchase, however the dealer we used was having construction work done on their electrical hook ups in the delivery area (this was not Grand Design's fault). The cord was replaced under warranty by another dealer during our first trip. The first system that we had issues with was the Lippert Ground Control auto leveling system. Got an error message and no information was available on how to correct it, system would not operate until the dealer re-set it. Second issue was the refrigerator. ultimately the problem was a bad ground connection, something which should have been done properly during construction. The dealer that did the repairs caused more problems than the original issue, but eventually fixed the problem (again, not Grand Design's fault). After owning the RV for over a year, still having issues with the auto leveling system, and found that the control board was bad. I had contacted Grand Design and they did agree to warranty the part if I had it repaired by a dealer or repair service. I had a mobile service come work on my RV (Kasey G's Mobile RV Repair) and they screwed up more than they fixed. I ended up doing the repair myself to not only replace the control board, but to repair the wiring damage they caused by incorrectly routing the wiring through the slide out in the framework. Although the issue with the repair was not Grand Design's fault, I never received any follow up calls or emails from them asking if the issue had been fixed. The cost of the control board was $400.00 however the system has functioned properly since my repair. I went to dump the freshwater tank (first time since purchase) and found the entire dump valve bonnet was broken due to the extreme angle that the extension handle was mounted at. I purchased and installed a new valve and re-positioned the handle so as not to stress the flimsy plastic valve. I have now owned the RV for 3 years. Almost every trip we take, I find screws on the floor which have fallen out of various things inside the RV, also I find many screw heads on the inside and outside that were broken off during assembly due to over torquing by the person doing the assembly. On the last trip we took, I was alerted by a passerby that something appeared to be flapping up on the roof. Upon inspection I found that the rubber roof membrane was somehow getting air under it during travel and was being pulled up from the wood underneath. I also found soft spots on the roof under the rubber membrane from unknown causes. Overall, I just don't see the quality in the fit and finish that Grand Design touts their product to be. They are assembled as quickly and cheaply as possible, but they want you to believe that they are somehow a better built product that other RV brands. I have owned five different RVs over the last 15 years, and my parents were avid RVer's for many years who owned many different RV's. I have found more assembly flaws in the Grand Design RV that I own now than I have found in any of the others I have owned. I will be trading or selling this RV in the near future and will be looking at other brands.
