We bought a 2020 Forest River by Wildwood, a Grand Lodge, we ordered it from McKenzie Trailers north or Toronto, Ontario. First of all, this trailer should have never left Wildwood manufacturing plant. It is built with the cheapest material around. We have had problems with things breaking, examples, light over dinning table, crack in siding with water entering every time it rains, was fixed over winter, but came back first week we were back in it.....still leaking and now we have black mold growing!!!! We have tried to talk to MacKenzie Rv where we went through the warrentee department, and still nothing, when they call Wildwood warentee,no answer and no return call....same for Forrest River. We have tried calling and writing comments and emails to all 3, and no reply or comments. This is SOOO Frustrating!!! We at our end and have no idea of what else to do. This is only a couple of things that have happened to this trailer. There are too many to list. I (personally) WOULD NEVER BUY A FORESY RIVER BY WILDWOOD again, and would never recommend anyone ever buy one

At first we bought a wildwood fsx 170ss. It was poorly made. There was one problem after the next. We went through a lot of aggravation, frustration ,and it was heartbreaking. Finally I contacted dealer corporate where we bought it from. Told them something needed to be done. We ended up with a new camper. Getting ready to take it out soon. Thankful that we did not have to wait a year or more to get camper back. We are hoping we will have no problems with the new one. Forest river needs to have better QC than what they have. From what I understand, Forest River used to be top notch. Nowadays their quality has dropped. But they stood by us as well as dealer and replaced, plus upgraded us. So thank you forest river! And CW.

We own a 2016 Wildwood Deluxe 39 FDEN destination trailer. We bought as a 1 year old in fall of 2017 and this is our 3rd season using it approx. 3 months of the year in Florida. We have had multiple issues with this trailer. --2nd season had to replace the living room air conditioner due to it freezing up and dripping on the floor, service guy said it was a very poor quality unit. --we had a water leak in the corner of the dining room slide by the main wall that we had repaired 2 times last season but over the summer it still leaked and rotted the floor and damaged the wallboard. We had to replace a 2 x 6 foot area of the floor. --the leather on the reclining chair cracked and peeled and it had to be thrown out. --we had a another water leak by the front bay window that destroyed the right hand end table, the water came in through a clearance light that had fallen out due to lack of caulking at the factory. --the rear air conditioner runs continuously and does not shut off, we haven't dealt with this yet. --there are many other minor issues that are due to poor product quality and workmanship that I haven't mentioned. I would like to hear from other owners of this model if they have encountered the same problems and how they fixed them. I contacted Forest River for some help and they blew me away by saying your out of warranty and there is no coverage. I asked if they would supply us with a new end table and I would install it and they flatly refused. They said I could order one from a forest river dealer and pay for it. I thought forest river would have some goodwill warranty but I guess not. It appears that forest river has very poor quality and workmanship and does not stand behind their products. This is the fifth RV we have owned, the most expensive and the poorest quality, I will never buy a another forest river product.

Unfortunately I purchased the Forest River Wildwood X lite Island Wild T233RBXL brand new in 2019. It has been a horribly trailer. In every aspect! The roof vent hatch cover disinterested in the first year, and not covered! The electronic toung lift moter burned out within 4 uses, had it replaced and burnt out again first try! Holes where the plumbing comes in are gaping over sized and unsealed! Rodents in the trailer last trip due to gaping holes. Bathroom door not the correct width for opening and constantly opening! Hinges on doors fall apart! Black water tank holds 5 uses and is useless, constant problems! shoving sticks down to clear back ups. Shower looks good and is useless, taps marked backwards incorrectly and water goes cold in 2 minutes. I completely regret buying this trailer outright for $30,000.00 I would send it back if I hadn't!

While this is a good looking trailer at first glance, our experience has been it is a poorly constructed RV overall. the problems started day one when we discovered that it was delivered with the wrong size tires and wheels on it - even though the factory DOT sticker listed the proper size wheels that the trailer was supposed to have. The first time we used it, water literally poured out of the shower enclosure all over. It turned out that not one ounce of sealant had been used by the factory when the shower was installed. We removed it entirely ourselves and reinstalled it properly. We also found that the shower pan had virtually no underside support installed while reinstalling the shower. The first hot weather we had this past summer caused wall panels to bow and pop loose. Turned out that the walls had large areas where no staples were used. After properly fastening down the walls in five different places, we now are still waiting for our dealer to receive he proper seam tape color from the Oregon plant where our unit was built. Last but not least during our latest trip out, water suddenly poured out from our kitchen cabinet all over the floor. Turns out the fittings on the back of the water heater were on hand tight. Easy fix, but not one that should have been necessary if there was an ounce of quality control used at the factory. Attention to detail is sorely lacking in Cherokee trailers. They look really great at first glance. Actually cheap finishes and poor workmanship along with slow to no support by Forest River are the “ norm” these days it seems. We have owned seven different RV’s over the years including a 2007 Wildwood by Forest River that we traded in for our Cherokee. Our old unit had no issues with anything and only required routine maintenance in the 12 years we owned it. There are just so many flaws popping up with our unit that I would pass on purchasing a Cherokee trailer!

I'm very disappointed to have to write this review... I saw the Forest River Wildwood online while looking for a used trailer. I liked it so much in the pics when I couldn't find one used I decided to pay twice my budget and have one built new. I really wish I hadn't! I'll start by saying it's not all Forest River's fault the broker I was dealing with did not relay the options I wanted, I was supposed to be building my dream RV and I got a bone stock unit! Since I had already waited 7 months for something that was supposed to take 4, I accepted delivery which by the way they made me sign b4 I could even go inside. By the time I got to look around the delivery people were long gone and I soon saw why. One of the pipes underneath was cracked from driving over something? Another pipe didn't have a waste gate installed. Upon inspection of the undercarriage I noticed the wiring for the battery was so tight the cover wouldn't close and pulled very tight in other places too, nothing ziptied. They also advertised a completely sealed and insulated bottom which is a straight lie. It's only covered with a plastic over the tanks. Which by the way makes it extremely hard to get to anything, it's a tradeoff but no insulation under. Also no heat pads for the tanks, which I requested. Speaking of insulation, I paid for the severe weather package that was supposed to be for very cold climates and since I've spent $2500 re-insulating everything! The wind blew right through it. But to continue, the bedroom floor is just plywood covered by a simple tarp. Speaking of which, everything underneath was stapled randomly and half sticking out, not much screwed and the tarp was loosely untucked in the corners. Anyway, inside same issue with all the paneling and seems, random placed Brad nails. It looked like the compressor for the nailer had too much pressure and made holes everywhere and someone walked around with caulking on they're fingers filling them over finished, painted wood. It looked horrible! White fingerprints everywhere! When I opened the slideouts I've had to manually "help" since day one and a screw was stuck underneath which put a huge scratch in my floor day one! None of the shades were centered, there were a few tiny bumps under the vinyl kitchen floor! Both the couches had nuts and screws laying on the rug I had to take each apart to see where they went. Everywhere in every crevice was sharp metal shavings from self tapping screws. I couldn't let my dog inside until I vacuumed thoroughly. The shower doors were on backwards, one of the kitchen drawers track was unscrewed. The mattresses, all of them are nothing more than cheap foam. The stereo system is complete garbage (10 watts per speaker) TV - garbage! I could go on and on. Forest River was impossible to get a hold of, nobody answered the phone or called back and when you did get a person they would transfer you to another voicemail. They're response finally was send it back and wait for another one, which I obviously didn't want to do after waiting so long and having nowhere to live basically at the time. Thank God I am very handy when it comes to fixing things and have tools because I spent weeks going through everything and fixing small things everywhere and I mean everywhere! After the 1st Winter 2 plugs and the water pump burned out and I found and fixed an electric problem thankfully in time. It's a shame that the carpentry team that built this has no clue what they are doing because it could be a nice unit. The bedroom could have been 3' larger, you cannot get around the bed. My experience with Forest River was terrible! Thousands of dollars and countless days of work I have a decent trailer but no thanks to Forest River! In the end I think my Wife made a deal for a couple thousand off the price which I've tripled in needed fixes since. I wish I could say it's nice but it is now only because I made it that way. At this point I could have built it myself. Find something else if you are buying new or from someone like me that's fixed all their problems! By the way I didn't get the warranty and it would have done me zero good because nobody answers!

This is very long, I know but I promise you if you are looking to purchase it is worth a read! We had many issues with our camper. We purchased our 2021 Forest River Wildwood 36VBDS on 07/24/2021. We loved the camper but since purchasing it we have had nothing but problems. When purchasing the camper, The RV center did an inspection upon purchase where we noticed one of the outside speakers was not working and the awning motor shifted when going out. We scheduled for service at their first available date 09/24/2021 to have the awning motor replaced and speaker fixed. We took our camper home so we could use the camper without the awning until the service date as we did not want to make payments on the camper for it to sit at the dealership for several months. After taking out for the first time we were very excited but a few other problems arouse like the bedroom door that would not shut because the frame was bent, the back outside door handle would stick and not allow the door to close, the motor on front stabilizer jacks didn't work properly, the light in the front stabilizer jack did not work, the battery box was cracked, the rear window blind was broken, the drivers side marker light was not working and the sealant was cracked. We dropped the camper off for service on 09/24/2021 to have the noted complaints fixed. Some of the required parts were on back order and not available at time of service so a second service date of 11/27/2021 was set to have these corrected. Upon dropping the camper off for service on 11/20/2021 it stayed with the company for several weeks due to the parts they ordered being incorrect. We picked our camper up from the service shop again on 12/18/2021 and scheduled yet another service date for 03/21/22 as the door frame is on backorder and will not arrive until February of 2022. We have planned a trip to North Carolina for 2 weeks in February and we are preparing to leave in the coming week. We have had our camper plugged in and running in preparation for our upcoming trip. Everything within the camper functioned as it should aside from the bedroom door frame still scheduled to be replaced. Until going to the grocery store and spending around $230.00 on groceries that had been placed in the camper refrigerator on 02/09/2022. Today(02/12/2022) I went to the butcher shop and purchased another $200.00 in meat for our trip. When returning home and unloading I realized that our refrigerator and freezer were not cold and everything inside had spoiled. Thankfully I noticed before another $200.00 in meat went bad but now 2 days before we are set to leave on our 2 week trip we are without a fridge and freezer. The power to the camper is still plugged into the appropriate amp plug as we had one installed at our house when we purchased the camper. Everything inside is still working as it should (fireplace, slide outs, microwave, tv, ect.) The fridge is still plugged in, light is on, you can hear it running but everything inside is warm. This comes as a great disappointment as we purchased our camper new in hopes of having less maintenance issues but that has not been the case. We have reached out to our local service department again today about the refrigerator but will not have time to have it serviced before our trip as the service department is an hour from our home. My husband is a commercial refrigeration technician decided to fix it himself since we need our fridge and the next available service date was 2 weeks out. Fast forward 4 months to June 3rd, we are in our camper out of state from where we originally purchased. There is a thunderstorm and the window over the couch starts leaking(flooding). Water is running down the window, wall, couch, and soaking the carpet on the floor. A couple days later I reached under our bathroom sink in the cabinet and notice a puddle of water. The bathroom pipe was not tight enough and sprung a leak. My husband then went and checked under the kitchen sink and found it was also loose but nothing was leaking yet. We also noticed that after the rain our plastic battery cover filled with water and had no drain holes. After having fixed the refrigerator once already it had again stopped working. This time the fan motor had gone bad and also had to be replaced. When we first started looking for a camper it took almost 2 years to find one that suited our needs and that we really liked. We found the Forest River Wildwood 36VBDS and we LOVED this camper. We have been greatly disappointed since purchasing our camper as we spent more than we had originally planned but it was a camper we really loved. After all the issues we've had with our Forest River I would not recommend anyone to purchase this camper. We are not oblivious to the fact that these are mass produced travel trailers and they will have flaws as does everything we just hoped the issues we had would be more cosmetic.

Well let me start off by saying we had a Prowler as our starter camper. It was great but there were many things that we noticed after buying it that we wish we would have had. Like dual air conditioning, instant hot water, and a little bit more space in the bunk room. We went to a RV Show last December in Novi Michigan and fell in love with the Forest River Wildwood 31kqbts. We instantly implied to see if we could trade our old one in and get this one and we were approved. We took delivery of it in December of 2024 and we got it from Funtown RV in North Branch Michigan. Upon picking it up I made the mistake of believing the inspectors that they ran water through it and did all the proper checks. Fast forward to April 2025 we took it out for the first time. So when we first hooked it up we had furnace issue. The furnace would only fire up once and then upon cycling would never get hot again. Also hooked the water up and had water leaking out of the outdoor kitchen. Found loose plumbing and also it has a sink with a drain that slides in and out with the slide. It was a hard PVC plastic and it was completely broken half. Upon walking into the camper we tried the first sink faucet in the kitchen and it shot water out like 8 ft. So I had to go buy a new faucet instantly. $200 later I went to install the faucet and when I looked under the sink the drain pipe was not even connected. I could not even make it connect because the pop was too short so I had to go buy a new PVC and fix that as well. Upon getting the faucet and drains fixed we had zero water pressure although we had water pressure going into the camper. Come to find out all of the sinks and faucets screens were completely clogged with PVC trash from the build. So we finally cleaned all that out. This was a trip from Nightmare as we had no enjoyment at all because we were cold and barely had water. So on the next trip we noticed water leaking in two different spots outside of the camper. Come to find out this thing was not winterized properly and a piece on the instant hot water heater had busted and water was Dripping under the camper. I must say Funtown RV were very good at getting someone to repair the camper. Here we are in August 2025 and I'm currently at a campground in Ohio. Suddenly there's I raised spot in the floor right by the kitchen. Part of the subfloor is coming up and that's a major fix because these campers have a one piece linoleum floor that is put down before the walls and cabinets are built. I just got approved for the repair but it is a major repair and my camper will be at Funtown RV all winter. I love the looks of this camper and I love the functionality of everything but I must say I never my wildest dreams thought we would have so many problems. I would personally steer clear of this model because it's new. And clearly these things are built entirely too fast with no proper inspections.
