WARNING!! DO NOT purchase a Forest River Toy Hauler! The Ramp Doors they use allows water to enter at the top, and then run down the side of the ramp door undetected to the bottom of the ramp door, where it runs beneath the ramp door sill and under the vinyl floor covering (again, undetected). The Insulation used beneath the floor, rather than waterproof foamboard, is like the fiberglass used in older homes that acts as a “sponge” to soak up and hold the water and moisture under the flooring for years, causing MAJOR damage and wood rot beneath the vinyl floor covering. I purchased a NEW Toy Hauler Travel Trailer, and after just 6 years, the undetected water leaking around the Ramp Door and through the uncaulked gap between the vinyl floor covering and the ramp door bottom sill, caused all 2" X 2" Floor Joists, Insulation, Wall Studs, and Flooring Plywood beneath the vinyl floor covering to rot from the water damage. Although much of the plywood atop the 2” X 2” Floor Joists was still strong and firm (further allowing the issue to be undetected), the wood damage beneath the plywood reached nearly 15 feet into the 30’ trailer from the ramp door. Forest River limits their warranty to just 1 year, with NO EXCEPTIONS. Their position on undetected flaws and issues that are not discovered within their 12 month warranty period is “Too Bad, so sad” and “that sucks for you”! They take NO responsibility for their defects, including those that are hidden or undetected for years. Save yourself the headache, and heartache, that a Forest River Toy Hauler will give you. Unlike Forest River, there are better quality manufacturers out there that will take responsibility for an unknown “flaw” discovered in their product.

This was the trailer of our dreams. Unfortunately, This trailer was doomed from day one of its life. Forest River assembled the flashing backwards on one side and two years into its life it was totaled by my insurance company. Thank god I was reimbursed by insurance but what a pain in the butt! If I could save someone time by saying DO NOT BUY A FOREST RIVER PRODUCT under ANY circumstance I would. My Stealth WA2916 had water damage all down one side through the passthrough and under the slide. A forest river rep come out and said we needed and new trailer service person! Tried to blame anything he could on us but my insurance company PAID a engineer to figure out that the trailer was defective. DO NOT BUY Forest River if you have any reason to value your investment.

Absolute junk, Cherokee DBH 274, I just got back from the dealer and they wrote up 4 pages of stuff wrong with this trailer, everything from seals in the slide out falling apart to water damage in the bunk and on the wall by the bedroom door. The quality and workmanship is very sub-par. This is the second Forest River trailer that we had and the first one was bad as well. Never ever buy a Forest River trailer, spend the money and buy a quality trailer.

We purchased our unit brand new on 4/28/2023. We took it out of winter storage on 4/20/2024 to find an extensive amount of water damage to the inside. We took it the the dealer where we purchased it to be informed that the bulb seal on the slide out has failed and because forest river only has a 90 day warrantee on seals it will not be covered. This seal failed in less then one year of ownership. I have always heard great things about forest river but this has definitely changed my mind.

I bought an arctic wolf remembering the day when arctic wolf was the best brand out there well Forest River owns article now and it's the worst trailer out there one month in sewer tank came apart six month in I figured out that a bunch of the accessories didn't work right but dealership I bought it from did their best to get everything fixed three years later the ceiling the slide is gone the roof is leaking and the plumbing is leaking and there's water damage on both end of the trailer I called Forest River cuz it the roof has 12-year warranty they said if you did not maintain the roof that 12-year warranty doesn't mean a thing the trailer is only 3 years old you think they'd stand behind their product I have Forest River one star and I really suggest that everyone stay as far away from Forest River Products

The wall unit that holds the TV bounced away from the wall , made a mess of the ceiling. Th e rear cap has seperated off the floor, the insurance co.will pay $5,000 for that and the wall unit. I first purchased the trailer the cheap Chines tire blew, tire warranty covered only the warranty on the tire $30. The damage was over $1,000. Forest River would not cover anything. I purchased the parts from them at full price. Water pump went out. I would not recommend a Forest River product.

We bought a brand new forest river motorhome in April, it is literally falling apart, we got to use it twice a total of 6 nights, the slide leaked and soaked the whole bedroom because forest river did not put the seals in, we had to leave from vacation in the middle of the night, it now has water damage it has been at golden gait trailers for 4 weeks and now forest river wants to put 1500 miles on it to take it to Indiana to fix it and they will have it for months! When you pay $89,000 for something that is brand new this should not happen! We have other issues with the camper this is just the biggest of them all! From looking at other review we can see that we made a huge mistake in purchasing this RV, apparently must of their RVs fall apart!

I can honestly say that this camper is the worst camper I have ever owned. We bought it brand new. As soon as we started using it, the slide leaked and caused damage to the floor and walls. The toilet leaked because the water hose on the back was cut too short. The tub leaked. The refrigerator took almost a full day to get cold. The water pump doesn't work at all and had to be replaced. The furnace did not want to kick on. Took a lot of work to get it to kick on and stay working. 1 year out the outside light completely stopped working. The camper was slapped together. To this day I am finding how shotty of work Forest River really does on their campers. I would never ever buy a Coachmen or anything made by Forest River ever again. When I get the chance I am trading this in for a camper that is worth something and is built decent because Forest River is not worth what they charge for them.

I will start off my review by saying I will never again in my life by a Forest River product. In the 3 years that i have owned the motorhome i have had the refrigerator replaced, 1/2 the coach torn apart on the inside for water leaks, i have had generator issues i have had AC module controller issues, i have had an AC fire because of bad soft starts, i have had to get the roof redone for water leaks , my dinette and recliner slide out topper was installed wrong causing damage to the outside structure of the coach which i now have to fix and replace the slide topper. It got so bad Forest River took my coach back to Indiana to go thru the whole unit. It really has been a joke.

I repeat do not buy one of these units. We have a Salem bunkhouse which we bought brand new from. Camping world neither camping world or forest river will back their product this travel trailer has basically fallen around from us. Our first trip out shower floods the floor blinds don’t go up and down. Water traps left out of bathroom, zinc, damage underneath, zinc in kitchen outside big gaps in trailer just basically pearly made, and they don’t stand behind their product please don’t bother this product. You will regret buying it. We are sitting with a white horse that we paid a tremendous amount of money for that cannot be used. Forest River has given me the runaround and refuses to fix it.
