Riverstone is a division of Forest River. The manufacturing is advertised to be the best. The service is also advertised to be the best. Nothing is further from the truth. Jeff Holmes, service manager, for the entire Riverstone division in the US is the most unprofessional, inappropriate interaction I have experienced as a owner of anything. He whines for 10 minutes about how he needs more help then he talks at you. He finally got more help and now doesn’t answer his phone. The help he got is no better at following through but at least have some customer service skill. Doesn’t change the fact, they never get back to you. Other RV dealers authorized to work on Forest River will not order parts without a part number but RS will not provide it as its “proprietary”. The dealers just will not deal with Forest River Corporate. They say they mail the wrong part even with the VIN. My best advice, stay away from Forest River and RV’ing all together. This is our first experience and last. The list of problems that have had to be fixed is to long for this forum. The majority are manufacturer problems. Only a few dealer mistakes. One that was a huge safety issue with OK RV. There is no regulation for safety in the RV industry once you have bought. Walk away and stay in a hotel. Better use of money or buy a vacation home.

Panel behind arm rail separated from the studs. Forest River riverstone did nothing... absoteuly nothing. By far one of the worst purchasing experiences in my adult life.
L couches seemed cool, but was extremely uncomfortable. Nicks and dings in so many places on what was the frost paint job. For a 18k paint job was already needing repainted and had a flame flex issue.
When the panel fell off I filed a BBB complaint again Forest River. The rep said it's the dealers fault and declined to work with the BBB further. Waste of me registering, running my credit, and down payment. Dealership bought it back because I hired a lawyer but was also ready to let me get screwed over. My family and children's children will never buy a forest river product again.
Rust, missing blinds, leaking in the storage area from the bathroom. One of the most poorly connected units I have stepped in. Slumnersloth is terribly ugly as well.

Good day fellow RVers! We are the proud owners of a Riverstone 39RKFB fifth wheel. Unfortunately last fall we noticed we had a sidewall delamination issue. Our local best ever Riverstone dealer where hopeful they could remedy the issue but upon a up close inspection we where informed that it was more involved than they had hoped and it quickly became apparent that the only place for it to go was back to the factory some 1600 miles from our location. Once I made a connection with various Forest River reps then given direct contact with the representative in the service department in Topeka Indiana the process was full speed ahead. Long story short they simply could not have been better in any way to deal with and quickly took care of our issues under warranty. THANKU all!!!!

We bought a full time Riverstone. Absolutely the perfect layout inside, the beautiful look, BUT, peel back all that and it is nothing but poor quality after poor quality.
This is our second Forest River and the same crap all over again.
1.Main living fireplace burns out
2. No hot water when we bought it. Had to argue to get some one from the dealer to come finish pulling the cable into the breaker panel.
3. pantry cabinets are on the smallest cheapest roller assemblies possible. Replacing them now.
4. Cabinets bottoms are nothing but cheap thin paneling put in.
5. Auto fan in main bath had to be replaced already.
6. Shower had to be recaulked to keep from leaking
7.Had to replace one wheel due to a crack in the wheel.
8. Main door side slide messed up and broke furniture. Still needs repair.
AND THE LIST CONTINUES!!!!!!
FOREST RIVER GOT ME THIS TIME BUT NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

2019 Forest River, Riverstone 39RKFB.
Definitely the best 5th wheel to go full time in. The 2019 is the best year though for sure, After years of experience we've learned that Forest River is one of the much better brands but the 2019 seems to have the best craftsmanship and solid material. We bought one and have lived in it for a long time and we don't plan on that changing anytime soon. The quality and craftsmanship is outstanding. We live in WA state and it rains and storms constantly so we needed something built well and durable. The only thing is that it is pretty heavy so we had to upgrade the truck but it's been worth it. We've done full time living with a few other rigs but this one is the best. It's a solid vehicle and after 2 years of living in it full time we've never had anything break or stop working. The prices are of course a bit high usually but you get what you pay for. I know of only one other person that owns the same year and model and they've had the same experience.

Purchased our 2021 Riverstone Legacy unit in early May. Dealer delivered it to our home. They forgot to secure both barn style doors and one of the outside storage doors and damaged the barn door hardware and the walls. This had nothing to do with Forest River. However there were other items, that were factory issues. The door to the lower restroom and the walk in closet looked like a seagull bombed it on the backside. Big brown stain on a gray door. The walk in closet door looked like a 3rd grader hung it. Very crooked and out of plumb. Huge gap at the top for the frame. The stabilizer jacks leak hydraulic oil The big vanity mirror had a corner chipped on it. Now the leveling system is showing and error on it and beeping constantly As of July 6th, Forest River had not "approved" the repairs. When pressed about this the dealer's service Manager told me I could give them my Credit Card info and they would order the parts. I told them I had the extended warranty (purchased through Forest River) so I didn't see why they needed my CC as I was told this covered anything the factory warranty didn't when purchased
July 14th the repairs were finally approved. It is now Sept 13th and nothing has been done. We just made the 4th payment on an RV that we have not been able to use at all. The dealer blames Forest River for not shipping the repair parts yet. As if this wasn't enough, now there is a recall on the Lippert system slide out. We want to live in our RV by the 1st of October. I think Forest River should reimburse us for the 4 payments since we haven't used it at all. We don't want to mention the dealer until our RV is repaired, as we are afraid of retribution. We loved this RV when we purchased it. I would not recommend buying anything at this point from Forest River or the dealer we had.

My 2022 Riverstone Legacy fully loaded 42FKSG
Refrigerator cabinets don’t allow doors to fully open. Poor engineering. Refrigerator not put in level.
Passthrough doors don’t align which allows water leaks.
Screen door latch is not installed properly, therefore won’t allow screen door to stay closed
AC drain on roof has multiple cracks allowing the condensation to run down the side of the walls and leak into the poorly aligned pass throughs.
Crown molding has gaps in the corner
Wall treatment has bulges in the seems
In todays world where do you find a TV that isn’t a “smart” TV. Well the good folks at Riverstone must have salvaged a slow boat from china and found a bunch, because neither the bedroom or outside tv has “smart” capabilities… Can I add that, via rocu or other. Sure. Should I have tooooooooooooo.
The passthrough latches are an off brand that you can’t replace with combination locks. Everyone that has ever had, or ever will have a key, has a key to your storage.
Microwave doors and main firefly panel doors don’t open all the way so you have to shut them in order to get by.
You can’t add any additional switches to the Firefly system even though they are nothing more than remote controls. There are no light switches on either side of the bed, so, if you want to turn on a light in the middle of the night you have to get out of bed and go to the entry door. You can, However, search around in the dark, find your phone turn it on go to the app and activate the lights via cellphone. Very convenient.
The exterior running lights were not removed during the full body painting so when you change the lights to a system that works, vs the one the manufacturer chooses, the primer shows through.
Windows only open about 2”, generally useless for air flow
A flimsy and ineffective cover was placed over the generator. I’m not sure why they bothered installing anything since the cover serves no apparent purpose and it has all the rigidity of a paper towel.
Screen door should open in, not out.
Without any regard for customer aftermarket needs on products that Riverstone doesn’t sell, Forest River installed a Firefly System that will not allow the most popular inverter on the market to be installed and work the air conditioning system. The Firefly system doesn't allow upgrades or workarounds. The customer service from Firefly is non-existent and Forrest Rivers' answer is the same. NO ONE in the chain wants to address the problem. All parties state that the other party's product is inferior and beneath their product. The end user then ends up with a system that won’t work and no work around. If I could tear the system out and start with manual switches I’d do it.
Would Riverstone fix most of the problem. Maybe. All I have to do is give the coach to a Forest River dealer for 2-3 months and they will decide what is warranty and what isn’t. They give you a warranty they know full well they will never have to deal with and if they do have to service the rig it will be done at their convenience at their facility. They will not allow a on-site tech to come out unless the tech is from the dealer. I have not been able to find a dealer that offers on site service. At least that is true in Texas.
REMEMBER, if you order one of these the price you are quoted and given a written purchase agreement for is VERY likely NOT the price you will pay when the 6 months+ has passed and the rig is available for delivery. Mine was 15k more than the signed purchase agreement. Their attitude was take it or leave it.
I LOVE MY DEALER. I want that to be clear. He has done everything he can to accommodate me. The problem is the manufacturer… They just don’t give a shit.
