Purchased a 2016 323BHDSCK. Spacious, nice looking unit.
My family camps 4 times a year so it’s not overused.
The issues start——
*The outdoor mini fridge quit working after year 1
*The bathroom sink began to leak
*During an outing a shutoff under the kitchen sink blew and water filled the camper in the living area until it made its way out the slide opening (it looked like Niagara Falls) we did have a pressure reducer on
*Water over the winter from outside made its way into the unit and froze and created an area of mold.
* The fabric on top of the slides (on corners) made contact and the fabric split exposing the wood and allowing water into the slide walls
*Now water made it into the front bedroom because of shotty sealant and damaged the interior wall (which is now buckled and soft)
I contacted Coachmen and they said it’s out of warranty and nothing can be done. WAY TO STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCT.
I had my old unit a Dutchmen for 12 years and nothing ever leaked.
ARE THESE UNITS MADE TO BE OUTSIDE????
IF SO, WHY IS SO MUCH WATER COMING IN?

After 2 years of ownership the only repair has been a replacement of the RCA jacks to the TV from the stereo system. The fit and finish is very good in the interior. No issues with cabinet doors or drawers. Gel coat/fiberglass walls are still in great shape and color with no delamination. No roof leaks or appliance breakdowns including the generator. We kept the trailer in storage with overhead protection and limited sunlight exposure. A/C is an upgraded 15k BTU unit that is necessary in hot climates like Texas. 18K BTU heater is more than enough for this size trailer. Water heater is equipped with with propane and electric heat. It allows for a 15 minute continuous shower with ample hot water when water supply is 40-50 degrees. Shower has enough room to accommodate someone up to at least 6'3"(tallest son) with inches to spare.
This floor plan provides enough room for 4 adults to sleep comfortably. The trailer gets really cozy if 4 adults have to maneuver inside for a day's length of time (rain in). Bathroom and bedroom is fully accessible when hauling toys. Depending on what you haul (RZR570 for us), it may take up most of living quarters during transport. Trailer has roomy bay storage for your water/sewer/electric and other gear. Bathroom is tight but about average for this size toy hauler. Shower/bath tub combo is nice feature if you have to bathe small kids or pets. There is more than enough overhead/cabinet storage for an extended trip.( 2 week trip to Yellowstone with 4 adults). Refrigerator/freezer space is average so plan and place contents accordingly. Use of coolers is recommended for your canned/bottled beverages when on extended trips.
I use the Blue Ox Sway Pro weight distribution hitch and the trailer tracks well when towing with minimal sway. Before upgrading my tow vehicle to F250 this trailer is manageable with a 1/2 ton (GMC 5.3L) equipped with towing pkg. The rear dovetail design and axle setup allows for some steep grade entry/exits to parking lots and entrances.
We have had up to 4 adults and 2 kids sleep comfortably with use of air mattresses. Not recommended for greater than 4 adults if limited to inside trailer for the day (due to rain or bad weather). Living space is plenty with extended trips(month long) for 2 adults. Longest trip with this trailer has been 4 adults on 3 week trip to Yellowstone National Park (~ 3800 total miles). Dutchmen/Thor also makes an identical trailer (RUBICON model). Overall, I would buy this trailer again.

I bought the RV Used in 2008. It was three years old and appeared to be in good condition. Floor plan was perfect for our family in that it had a rear bunkhouse and a single slide that made a larger living area. First year we noticed that the unit had leaks all over. Front cap leaked so badly that water was running into the closet and would pool within the outside storage area. Rear cap leaked, seals around the slide leaked and the the slide also leaked inside the cabinet that was over the table. Every year I would remove the old sealant and install new sealant but could never get the unit dry. The front cap eventually wrinkled and the luan rotted away. Sides de-laminated and I had to screw the fiberglass into the aluminum frame to keep them from pealing away when I was driving. I did contact Keystone early on in the process and they told me it was out of warranty and was obviously a maintenance issue anyway.
I have looked at "for sale" pics of many 2005 Laredos of the same model and I noticed most of them had wrinkling of the front caps which leads me to believe it was a design defect and I am sure they knew about it.
I traded it in this year, and basically had to pay the dealer to take it. I know it was an older unit now, but I worked very hard to try to take care of it but it was of poor design to start with so it was a loosing battle. What worries me is Laredo was a good name, but was bought by Thor Industries which is who my 2005 was made by. Thor seems to have a checkered reputation. Worries me more is that really there are a ton of "Companies" out there manufacturing RV's but really they are part of what appears to be about 3 companies. I think we have a monopoly going on here and maybe this needs to be looked into. I did buy a new unit but I went in with my eyes wide open and I saw the most units had obvious quality issues in manufacturing. I went into the dealership when it was raining hard to see if the units I liked seemed to have leaks...yup...Looked at a Coleman that had a serious leak issue...saw a Keystone with puddles in the storage area....the one unit I chose eventually was dry and showed no signs. Overall build quality seemed okay but things like cabinet closer needed to be adjusted or tightened. Had it a month and already the Dometic AC has a bad blower (out of balance...seems to be a very common problem with this AC unit based on the web feedback).
I had a 1972 Winnebago Motor Home was running and everything was working and the interior was in decent shape. I took it from South Florida to the Carolina Mountains regularly. I sold it in 2001 and the new owner drove it away. I am not a newby to RV'ing and I know how to maintain a unit to last.
SO to the point...Keystone is owned by Thor, so if you don't like Keystone do to build issues, then you have to also suspect Airstream, Bison, CrossRoads, Cruiser RV, DRV, Dutchmen, Entegra Coach, Heartland RV, Highland Ridge, Jayco, Keystone, K-Z, Livin' Lite, Redwood, Starcraft, and Venture RV.
Long gone are the days where brands meant something....
Oh, don't buy a 2005 Keystone Laredo 28BH!
