We bought this 2018 Leprechaun 311FS new North of Dayton Ohio and we started out with some problems with the AC and some big slide out issues. The main furnace didn't work right. After going back to the dealer and having the dealer trying to fix our issues and breaking more stuff. The dealers answer was "We don't build them we only try to fix them". I called Coachmen directly and they would send me the parts to install myself. We recently attended the Coachmen Rally in Goshen Indiana. Coachmen had 5 mechanics on site at the rally. after talking to the head mechanic his crew came around and fixed any problems we had free of charge. We had a long talk the plant manager and plant head mechanic. We are confident they will do anything to keep us satisfied. If we have any problems in the future will go directly to the plant and have the addressed there. After attending the rally have had our confidence in Coachmen renewed. I would get in touch with coachman directly and let them know of if your dealer seams unable to handle your problems. Show less

This RV has been nothing but problems since we purchased it a year ago. The dealer knows absolutely nothing about the RV and are not able to make the needed corrections. This is my second Coachmen and I will never ever consider purchasing anything Coachmen again. The overall quality is terrible, particularly the electrical system and battery drainage. Show less

Got a 6 month old trailer 2017 first owner only used it 2 time came back for a bigger trailer (ask Wife before You Buy) sent E-Mail to Coachmen about some of the Quality problems with the Trailer all I got back was "its used not our problem" BLA BLA BLA I was just telling them about all the problems So maybe they would fix them on the new trailers they are building I did not think coachmen would do anything about Mine But Maybe a SORRY this happened Show less

this rv is good quality, we have had 14 different rvs and this viking was one of the best, we will be buying another coachmen!, they are built well we did not have any problems with it in the 4 years we owned it, it pulled great evry thing on worked great, coachmen has the best floor plans and the most storage,they are built better then other brands. Bought my Coachmen New in June 2015, Have had a few issues, but over all it has been very good. Ford motorhome division was excellent and responsive, The Coachmen People & Plant in Middlebury, Ind. is the best place to get problems resolved. They also have a campground area where you can stay anytime for free and while you are having your coach repaired We have put over 22,000 miles and coverd over 30 states from Texas to Florida up to Washington and Canada. This is an UPDATE to my review of October 4th of our Freelander 20CB Micro. Through direct communications with Coachmen, (we lost all confidence in our selling dealer being able to do anything right or even wanting to), we made plans to bring the RV to their factory for warranty service. The experience at Coachmen was very positive. Everyone there was friendly, courteous, and accommodating. Coachmen got my all problems solved in less than a day. The way I see it: if your dealer is lazy or incompetent the only alternative is going to the manufacturer for correctly done warranty work. PS: the driveability of the Ford Transit 350HD I find to be excellent. The V6 has plenty of power and it's no problem getting 14MPG when driven between 55 and 60MPH. Show less

Excellent floodplain!! Tows well behind my Jeep Gladiator(diesel) . The problem with these campers is workmanship v͟e͟r͟y͟ P͟O͟O͟R͟!!! Problems I’ve encountered so far, leaking front window, black trim tape was pulling away from slide out trim, took dealer 6 weeks to make repairs!! Split hot waterline, shower leaks badly, unplugged space heater and the receptacle pulled completely out of the wall, Bathroom lavatory leaks, cupboard doors misaligned and hinges pull loose easily!! I’m a retired skilled trades person and have opted to make repairs myself. I definitely would not recommend Coachmen Apex campers or any Coachmen product line because I’m sure the build quality is probably the same!! Show less

I absolutely LOVE my new trailer!!!! Everything is PERFECT!! I would highly recommend the 2018 21 RD Viking Coachmen to everyone. No problems and one of the best escapes in our world of "new normal." I really don't understand the previous review because my experience has been a 10++. Show less

I purchased this new 10 years ago. I thought I'd give a review of how it has held up after four cross country trips, and countless shorter camping adventures. Long story short, I'm still very happy with my rig. After hearing and reading about so many problems with others rigs of various brands and styles, I braced myself for the worst. I'm not sure whether I lucked out or Coachmen does offer a quality product, but I've never had an issue with workmanship or quality of the materials used. I've changed out a few things and modified the interior, but all because I wanted to personalize it. I would absolutely consider another Coachmen product when and if I ever decide to sell this one.
