You touched the wood and it turns to dust! Wish I could include photo’s! Looks like black mold! Luckily my husband is a talented carpenter and we are fixing, even the dimples, so disappointed after only 3 years and still making payments! Bought this in Idaho and drove up! I guess you never know what is behind those walls! As I say we love the floor plan, but would never replace with another Sonic!

I am so incredibly disappointed with the construction of this RV. The overall lack of craftsmanship is unbelievable! We have owned this camper since new, purchased August of 2019. We just opened the camper up from a weekend away and found the cabinet above the couch laying down on the couch. The only thing in this cabinet was a few card card games, frisbees and two small water guns, honestly all contents combined weighed less than 15 pounds. Earlier this summer the bottom board under the couch just fell off. I’m not a carpenter but I know enough to know that you can’t expect a 20 pound free standing cabinet in a trailer that moves to be held up with a half in block of wood and 4 small screws that are barely secure.

We purchased our Winnebago brand new in 2022. Unfortunately, we have had problems from day1. Within a month, our fridge quit working. It was fixed under warranty but we were without a fridge for a year. Immediately, our window blinds began falling apart. Over the past three years, almost every blind has broken. Two summers ago, the A/C quit working. It was not covered under warranty. We purchased a portable A/C and continue to use it. We received a quote of $4000.00 to repair it. We then noticed that one of the windows was leaking a great deal when it rained. We hired a carpenter who attempted to fix the window, but it still continues to leak. Our RV is permanently parked in a campground. We don’t move it. My husband and I are retired have taken good care of it. Presently, it isn’t enjoyable spending time in it; there is so much wrong with it. It has been so disappointing. We would sell it but there’s so much wrong with it that we wouldn’t get much money for it. We would never purchase another Winnebago.

I loved this floor plan. I still do. I’m a recently divorced dad and have 3 boys so the 3 upstairs loft beds couldn’t of been better! However..... the quality of workmanship is horrible. There is too much to list and I’m not a picky guy. I am also a carpenter and can fix a lot of the issues. If I had to buy it again I’d probably buy a more expensive 5 th wheel. As far as the bulk, I’m pretty lucky I guess. Everything works and functions as it should so I am pleased in that regard. I paid 43000 from dealer in Ohio, ( retail was 63000) 1400 for added washer/ dryer 4300 to ship to California and I am happy for now. It literally is the largest/ sq foot 42 pull trailer made. The design is great, just the craftsmanship is poor. If your super picky, don’t buy it you’ll be very disappointed. If your not, and your handy and you can get it at wholesale I think overall it’s a good deal. It’s basically 400 + square ft. Including the lofts. I think it’s the best deal for the buck and I love the appliances. Personally, I don’t know how they make money on these. They don’t sell these out in California so it definitely stands out

Great floor plan, all the features are nice. However the build quality and finish is absolute crap and I can not be more disappointed when I bought my unit new that was supposed to be the same as the display modle. I’m pretty sure it was the apprentices first day on the job when they built it. Basically had to hire a carpenter to fix all of the finishing problems as they would not be addressed otherwise. Much of the trim was just placed against the wall and never attached and fell off, even the pretty strapping on the ceiling, barn door panelling has been peeling up and the door was never mounted properly. The bathroom door actually can not be locked from the inside and if you have a slight slope the wrong way the barn door will just roll open continually. Outdoor locks where never properly attached and couldn’t lock. The hidden pantry door pulles away from its mount and then can not be opened. Screws on the outside of the unit are over torqued and stripped and about 1/10 screws on the exterior have fallen out. The fan in the bedroom couldn’t blow a candle out so the bedroom typically overheats even though the main area stays nice and cool with a/c. Some kind of glue was just smeared on the walls to try to cover the staples holding on the panel board and just looks like someone wiped their dirty hands on the walls. Overall I extremely regret buying their unit because of the tragic build quality. Stay away… hopefully I can save someone else from buying these lemons.

We looked for a number of years when we decided to move up to a 5th wheel from our 31' travel trailer. The Destination 36RL was on the list of the top 3. We found an excellent deal on a new 2015 and drove 500 miles to get it. We purchased in August and found quickly that a single AC unit was not adequate. We had a second AC unit put in right away. All the duct work and wiring was in place which made the installation nice. Ours also has the Magic Mirror in the bedroom. Great idea, but not very well thought out. The cabinetry around the TV has no cut outs for sound or remote control. I have to stand directly in front of the TV and point the remote towards the bottom in order to change volume, channels, etc., and then the volume must be turned up almost full to hear it (when the front AC is running). You can hear it outside better than you can inside! The Stainless steel appliance package is excellent. Ours also came with the dishwasher and so far we have not had a problem with any of them. On our last long trip, we arrived at our destination and found that a large piece of wood molding from around the slide had come down. Found that it was only glued in place. I contacted a carpenter and together we fixed it with screws and glue. I'm disappointed in the finish, both of the fiberglass itself and, the graphics. I keep the unit clean (always use Meguiars products) and wax it twice a year, however, some, not all of the graphics have become discolored, are cracking and in one case, peeling off. The rear cap was not prep'd correctly and has very rough surfaces in some areas. The sidewalls are becoming chalky looking. This is very disappointing to me as our last trailer, a 31' Sprinter that I purchased new and had for 8 years, and cared for the same way, never had any issues like this. This week while replacing the material on my slide toppers, I noticed some rotted wood on the bedroom slide floor. I found that there was an area of the plastic molding around the slide that had not been sealed at the factory. I am waiting for an estimate now. I'm told it's an 18 hour job. The unit came standard with the LCI Equa-Flex equalizers and shocks, along with the Trailair Air Ride pin box which makes towing very pleasant. Would I make the same purchase again? Yes I would.
