Buyer beware!!!! NEVER and I mean never buy a Forest River/ Prime Time. I bought mine brand new and had several Major issues within the first Month. I immediately let Blue dog RV in Las Vegas Nevada know about them. They referred me to the manufacturer, which happens to be Forest River. I dealt with a couple of people at the top management position. Terry Baughman, and Wendy ?. They bullied me, lied to me. And even told me to go ahead and email the owner of the company, Warren Buffett. I mean really!!!! What the........???
In short I’ve had this trailer right at 3 years. It’s been in the shop at the very least 2 out of the 3 years. Andy basically the company and the dealer could care less that their product is crap. By the way the major issues were the belly box flooding. The ceilings falling, and the biggest thing they can’t fix is the furnace.
I say again NEVER purchase from them!!!!!

This rv was a lemon from the start. The engine light kept going on, and it took over a year and many visits to Nexus, Ford, etc to finally find the cause which was a wrong size clamp put on at the factory. Also, the pantry kept opening by itself, with the whole pantry rolling out and crossing the aisle, slamming into the refrigerator. We had it replaced Andy the second one did the same thing but also came off the rollers and almost landed on the dog which would have killed her. I had to stand holding ithe pantry up, while my husband drove to a repair shop. The water heater was improperly installed so that it would not heat. It took many visits for that to be determined. The whole wall slide out started showing wear early on. The roller system is inadequate for supporting such a large slide out. We had to get an emergency repair so that we could retract it and get on the road. The island bed is a sham. No one can walk around that bed. The back up camera malfunctioned from the start. Whenever it rained, the camera showed the rear view instead of showing our navigation screen. No one could ever fix that. We had been told that Nexus would soon have a contract with an rv repair shop in our area. Never happened. And our local repair shops had difficulty working with Nexus , so one by one, they refused to do any work. We ended up returning to Indiana several times. Nexus was not amenable to our request to return the lemon. We had to register a complaint with the BBB in order to get Nexus to honor the warranty. We were so disappointed with this rv that we took quite a loss trading it in for a same size Jayco class C last fall. Couldn’t get anyone to buy it; poor resale value. So glad to be rid of it. Our old 1993 Damon Ultrasport never gave us any grief in the 20 years that we had it.

This is our third Forest River RV, two Cardinal Fifth wheels and the Berkshire. Forest River builds good RVs. The 390QS is a great floor plan. It was the first motor home I saw with the TV in the middle of the RV. This really opens up the living area since you can turn the driving seats around(the passenger seat has an electrical foot kickup). It has a large kitchen counter area with plenty of storage. The bath area is also really nice since it has two vanities, one in the commode room and one next to the shower. The bedroom is comfortable with a queen bed and large closet and more drawers than we use. The washer/dryer hook-ups are in the bedroom and I installed extra removable shelves for storage. I installed a ceiling fan which is good for sleeping. The under storage has three door full through compartments with one slide out. The three color tan full body paint still looks new. The Freight-liner chassis with the 350 HP Cummins and Allison Transmission is an excellent piece of equipment. I probably average 9 mpg which depends on wind and terrain. I had issues with the steering wandering when new and an alignment and later installing the Steering Assist Cylinder took care of that. I had trouble with slide alignment when new and later had a water leak on one slide during a heavy rain. We stopped by the factory and they fixed the slide alignment and at a later date I called about the leak and they told us to stop by on our next trip and they replaced the seals on all four slides. The factory people told me anytime you bring it to the factory it does not cost anything. The factory manager Randy Hauser and the parts manager Andy Thompson are great people. We tow a Jeep Liberty and you don't know it is there. There is a rear camera and one on each side. Our motor home is for sale because we have been RV'ing for nearly twenty years and been in all but four lower states and are just tired of RV'ing but, will keep traveling in it until it sells.
