Bought new 2017 Dream 45a in early 2018 and got a much better deal than any comparable coach. Have had several issues that have all been resolved through multiple visits to Alavarado and Decatur Rev service centers. Very disappointed that they closed the Alvarado center! Have now owned the coach for 2+ years and am very happy with purchase. Decatur service center is very good with troubleshooting and repairs, however they take their time - hopefully to do a good job of repairs. Had a few build quality issues, however most issues were with misc equipment not manufactured by American Coach (air conditioners, multiplex controller, tire monitors, etc). Biggest issue was with interior wood becoming “sticky” in hot high humidity conditions (we live in Texas). Took coach to cabinet manufacturer in Fort Wayne and they treated all interior wood to correct - so far so good. Only issue I don’t like about coach is factory recommended ride height, as hitch on rear of coach frequently drags in minor dips on driveways. Love the power with the Cummins ISX. Factory service was very good and they took care of issues that were ongoing beyond initial warranty period. Only negative was having to go to Decatur.

We are the second owners of this Tradition 42F. We have lived in it full time for over 2-1/2 years. We love the floor plan and particularly the full wall slide which creates a truly open feel from front to back. We feel the interior finishes are far better than other products in the market and feel the same about exterior paint quality. After nearly 10 years in service it still looks almost new. Mechanical issues are there just like any other product, but the factory service center(s) are good to work with. We have a strong owners group that has the attention of the key corporate people. I would be very hard pressed not to by another American Coach.

I bought my American Eagle in March 2024 from the estate of the original owner with 55k miles. It was used almost strictly for tailgate parties at WV Football games. Owner towed a large BBQ/outdoor kitchen in a cargo trailer behind, so it also has supplemental trailer brake controls. It was stored in a special built climate-controlled garage since new. When the owner died in 2010, the family kept it for special occasions and still went to football games. It was rarely used for camping trips other than back to NC for service at the original dealer. It needed new tires and batteries when I got it but everything worked. the original bill of sale was included for $392k in 2003. The quality is superb! All cherry wood interior with beige Ultra leather seating. Since I am a full timer, I expect to upgrade the entertainment systems and already installed a new TV in the exterior compartment. Surprisingly, it also came with a lifetime Sirius Sat Radio which is excellent. I could go on and on about the quality and refinements but what few others have said about support, I want to add now, American Coach has a highly respected owners forum online with photos, facts, and immediate response to questions about issues with the coach. The Aqua-Hot system was new for me to learn about, and the forum was full of info. In Florida with it till March when I will drive to GA for the yearly FMCA Motor Coach events which are another huge support for information about the Eagle. Summers will be spent up north and winters down south. Maybe to Mexico with one of the FMCA owner caravans.

I picked up this unit in November, and I’ve covered around 10,000 miles already. The build quality is, for the price point, exceptional. There were minor issues that snuck up on us, however, nothing major. Additionally, when I was in touch with rev group, I let them know about the first mid range trip I was taking, covering about 3000 miles. The folks from the factory reached out to me more than once just to see how things were going. That’s not something you expect and it goes a long way to building brand loyalty. Having two full bathrooms, with showers, is fantastic, when traveling with kids. Additionally, the drop-down bunk, above the driver and passenger seats, along with the bunkers, adds more sleeping volume. The only issue I have with the drop-down bunk is, if you are traveling with dogs, and they need to go out in the middle of the night, you really have to crouch down, which could be a problem for somebody who is a little older than me, I am only in my mid 40s was not an issue. it could also oppose an issue if there is an emergency overnight and you need to get out quickly As for the issues, there were a few, but despite General RV running away and hiding, the manufacturer has stood behind this product, 100%. In fact, it is currently in Indiana, having all of the issues taken care of, and a few that I was willing to take care of myself. Based on my experience with this unit, if I don’t buy a Foretravel Realm for my next unit, I will absolutely buy an American coach. Unfortunately, American coach doesn’t offer anything with two full bathrooms with showers while Foretravel does which, when traveling with my wife, daughter and nanny, the second full bathroom is a must. Prior to this unit, I owned a Thor and the level of factory support is night and day, not to mention, the quality is, in my opinion, far superior on my unit. I’ve been in rainstorms, snowstorms, and everything in between and, thus far, this has been a solid unit. Anybody looking for a reasonably priced non-tag axle bunk model, should look at this unit.
