The quality of my 2022 Airstream classic has been exceptionally poor. Even worse has been Airstream’s refusal to under their warranty. We have had issues with leaks, water, pumps, cabinets, pulling away from the wall, molding, cheap plastic parts, control systems, touch screens, misaligned, entry door, electrical and lighting problems. We’ve had the camper back to the dealer many times and twice to Jackson Center at Airstream‘s home in Ohio for repairs. Airstream refuses to honor their warranty. I wish I had never bought the camper to start with. It has been a huge disappointment.

I took it to Sutton RV and they told me that Airstream refused to fix it under warranty. Why Doesn't Airstream warn people you can not take these trailers close to the coast or you will have this disgusting stuff forming on all the aluminum. Be aware of them they lie when they sell it and tell you what a good warranty they have.

BEWARE!!!!!The factory will not stand behind their mistakes they made in the original install of my interstate side Windows! I am just now showing rust around ALL my side windows that was created by Airstream allowing metal shavings to imbed in the outside perimeter paint. Now after 6 years the shavings are rusting and windows need removed and paint /body repaired. I have gone thru my dealer in San Diego and Airstream will not cover the $3,200 repair. They admitted this on other forums and paid to cover other faulty installs of the same problem but not after warranty. Problem is that’s when it shows up. Thought Airstream backed their problems they created. Really disappointed. I had six body shops confirm it happened in the factory at install and not treated correctly!!!!

First, let me begin with my list of problems, which started on day one.
1. Zinc screws on roof rusted within weeks.
2. Axles out of line
3. Radiused windows leaked badly, causing black stains on floor covering, that does not come out. Brought to Airstream's attention on month 14, but problem had been going on for months, still within the warranty. Airstream's response was I had discovered it outside the warranty and told me to reseal all the windows.
4. The piano hinge on bath door sagged considerably, due to insufficient screws, causing the misalignment of the handle, locking a person inside.
5. To all the drawer slides, I have added additional screws, as they came loose within a few weeks.
6. Two of the plastic U trims that cover the top and sides that butt up to the walls of the cabinetry slid down behind the cabinets, and disappeared. Very very difficult to fix. Had to remove the cabinets. All it needed was some kind of adhesive or fastener when installed, to prevent this.
7. The two radius doors under the sink in my model were way too much weight for the hinges. Replaced several, eight, over time, at my own expense (Airstream sent me two), plus added an additional hinge to each door. After a while, I just removed the doors to travel. Finally, I removed the hinges and installed piano hinges to solve the problem.
ALL these problems were discovered well within the first two years. Airstream did nothing, not willing to work with me and borderline nasty about "no longer under warrantee".
After owning a Keystone Cougar 24' fifth wheel for several years, loving it, no problems, we decided to go for it and move on to an Airstream Flying Cloud. The reputation it has had needs to be amended as it has been a nightmare: one problem after another. The sharp appearance wore off quickly.

Having owned a 2005 Airstream Sprinter conversion and putting over 90K miles on it with 0 problems, I wanted to have a little more room, and since Airstream doesn't offer slide outs,I bought a new 2013 Winnebago View. Had it less than a year and took a real bath on trade in but could not live with the many poor quality and design issues + Winnebago's awful warranty service.
Just a few of the problems that cropped up in the 1st 3 months--
counter tops delaminated.
cheap drawer and storage compartment floors bowed and separating from frame.
Cheap trim moldings coming off.
Tank fill switch so cheap that the handle broke on first use.
Very poor under bed storage access--no bar to hold bed base up + not finished off inside.
No transfer switch switch from generator to shore power--you have to go to outside to small door in back and reach into unlighted compartment to try to plug shore power plug into gen. receptacle (try it at night in rain)
The cheapest TV I have seen in any RV + ugly and cheap mount.
Kitchen water faucet cheap and leaky from the start.
Mylar spring loaded shower door that has no positive catch to hold it open--slightly touching it results in it snapping back into holder.
numerous other quality and design issues that are outrageous on a $130,000 vehicle.
Sprinter part was excellent.
Winnebago insisted I take it to dealer that was over 70 miles from me in the middle of nowhere requiring me to have someone follow me there to bring me back and then take me back out there to pick it up--this when there are several qualified RV repair facilities within a 10 mile radius of me.
As a comparison, Airstream authorized me to take the Interstate anywhere of my choice and send them the bill on the few minor issues when I first got the vehicle + there were no more problems the 5 years and 90K+ miles I put on it--not even a loose screw!
This Winnebago was my 6th RV--all 5 of the others put together didn't have as many problems as this View had.

We bought this TT in the fall of 2014. Straight out of the gate there were 7 warranty issues to be addressed, ranging from a non functional electric stabilizer to poorly installed furnishings and non working electronics. In less than a year, one axle failed and had to be replaced and water leakage and mold was evident in the storage compartment. This RV towed like a lead sled, even with a 400HP truck with a hemi engine towing it. By the time we had the RV 5 years, it was effectively junk. Leaks, rot, a second axle failure, and plumbing issues totally ruined our RV ownership experience. We enjoyed camping when we had it, but the junk the RV industry is putting out there these days has convinced us to never own one again! We have friends with different brands of RVs with similar stories and problems. Either save up for an Airstream or don't bother and use an Air BNB!

Where do I start? After owning an Airstream (which we still own) we decided to get the class C Tiffin Wayfarer and bought it new. On the way home from the dealer it started breaking down and having issues, and has been in the shop so many times I have lost count and still the issues from the first visit to the service department have not been fixed and it is 10 month old. The slide was not sealed and we found ourselves drenched in the middle of a thunderstorm. We have had wiring problems because Tiffin wired it incorrectly, and water leaks have been a battle because the hose rings have broken. Water damage has ruined our cabinets because they are a cheap press board, and because the quality is so bad, our shelves have literally fallen down. I feel like I am in a Caravan on Grand Tour with Jeremy Clarkson and everything is breaking! I am very disappointed that Tiffin has been uncooperative in getting our warranty work done, and not just flat out not fixing our rig.

We bought a new Lance 2285 travel trailer last Fall of 2017. The interior is functional
and has a contemporary look. It travels nicely, pulled by a Tahoe. We have experienced problems with the front window above the bed shattering on two occasions. We have no idea why the window shattered, but it had to be replaced twice, forcing us to drive over 240 miles on two trips, rent a hotel room, and spend several weeks with a new travel trailer that we could not use. This is very disheartening, due to the fact that we researched Lance travel trailers very carefully before we bought the 2285. We feel that this window design is flawed, and needs further consideration and more stringent quality control. We are presently trying to find an after- market cover for this window. Apparently, it has to be fabricated for this particular window which is costly and inconvenient. We have heard of similar window problems with other Lance travel trailers. We are hopeful that the Lance people are working to correct this problem. We do like many features of the Lance, the floor plan, the furnishings, the good warranty service, appliances, comfortable couch,
walk- around bed, and ample storage to name a few qualities. We did have issues with the electric hitch which had to be recalled, and with the rubber seals in the slide out. As travel trailer owners of Airstream and Arctic Fox models for the past 12 years, we have never experienced so much frustration as we have with this particular Lance 2285. Hopefully, they will solve these issues in the future so other potential customers won't have to deal with this situation.

Love the coach and especially the quality of MBZ sprinter. That’s about it. This is the worst quality RV we have ever owned. Having owned 3 Airstream trailers with little to no issues and now having this is a sheer disappointment. From the moment we got this coach it has given us problems. From the control panel malfunctioning to the pressure regulator on the propane tank to a useless heating and boiler system to 4 inoperable window blinds to a non functioning macerator pump (in winter it froze solid). Do NOT take this coach out in the winter. You will be freezing and will have pipes all freeze since Winnebago decides to put the majority of the pipes outside the coach. We also had to replace the lever on the awning as it cracked off the first time we used the awning. The screen door can not be moved by anyone other than me as it falls out of the tracks. Winnebago is useless. Absolutely useless. We tried numerous times to get a hold of anyone to help and answer warranty issues. They are rude and useless. I will say that that did reimburse my out of pocket expenses since the waiting time to get my coach in was 9 months in Southern California.
Again if all was functioning this would be a great coach. But it’s not. It’s a fair weather RV that I will never take in the winter. It’s for spring and summer usage only.
Too much money for all the problems. and Winnebago is a useless company to deal with. They are more concerned with sales and less concerned about keeping the consumer happy.
