First off I called the dealership about a motorhome they had listed on there web page. I talked to Donny. We talked 2 or 3 times. He talked me into coming and taking a look. It was a 4 hour drive. When I arrived in Salem I called Donny. He gave me the location where the unit we had talked about was at. Then he said George would meet me there. This was the first red flag that I didn’t see. I drive 4 hours to meet Donny and he passes me off to George. I get to the place and I meet George. He shows me the unit Donny and I had talked about. It was a 2004 30 ft class A . The were asking 22,500 . It had some patch work that wasn’t repaired correctly . And a few other things were wrong . The was another unit setting next to it. I asked about it. Is it 30 ft? George says yes. So I looked at it . It was a1999 . He said 16,900 firm . He said it had newer tires and new battery’s and everything work like it should. He was kind of in a hurry the whole time . Saying he had to be somewhere. Secound red flag. So I drive back home 4 hours. I talked to my wife about the motor home I looked at. So the next her and I drive 4 hours back to Salem. George said he would meet us there . So when we get there no George. He shows up about 30 mins late. We look at the motor home . In a hurry because George had to be somewhere. 3rd red flag that I didn’t see . George seemed mad about something. He was mad because what I had said about the other unit not being fixed very professionally. George had done the work himself. So we didn’t make a deal. So we left we were getting gas for long trip home. George calls me and tells me to come back promising all kinds of things . Like 30 day warranty if anything goes wrong we will take care of it. He said everything work like it should. New tires, new battery’s. He showed me the date on one of the tires it was 2 years old .I found out latter The battery’s were 5 years. He promised everything. Because he new we had cash. As soon as gave him the money and he had me sign the papers as is . 4th red flag. He says don’t worry you have 30 days. So I drove it home my wife followed me. We almost didn’t make it home. The last 30 miles it wouldn’t go over 50 miles an hour. When I got home it would back up in the drive. So the next day I found out the transmission was low on fluid the oil was low.. I called George.and told him about what had happened. He told me to bring it back.So I put some transmission fluid and tranny fix. And oil. So less then 48 hours we are going to try and make it back to Salem. When we get there George is know where around. Billy is there. We are passed off again. Billy tells us he can’t give our money back. He said if I gave everyone that wanted there money back we couldn’t stay in bussiness. I told him George said to bring it back. He said I am the owner and we can take it on consignment and when we sell it I’ll give your money back. What could we do.? We left it with him . After 4 months of nothing . They hadn’t sold it. I don’t think they tried to sell it. They had our money and our motorhome so we drove another 4 hours and it looked like they had used it for an office or a party. It was dirter . We brought it home thinking we could sell it our selfs. The first person that looked at it offered 4,000.. he showed me that all the tires but the one George showed me were 18 years old . That’s when I found out the battery’s were 5 years old. There was mold in the cabnets from a leak in the roof. The leveling system would work. The slides wouldn’t slid out. So needless to say we didn’t sell it. So I wrote a review on there web site. A few days go by and George calls he said if you take your review down we will come get the motorhome and fix everything. Just give us a list. I want you to know we bought it Nov of 2023. This was May 2024 we had it for about a month. We had not used the motorhome once. We couldn’t it had no power cord , no sewer hose and no water hose. So anyway we make a list. They send someone to pick it up. Bill said we should have it back in a couple weeks. So a month goes . Nothing . I call Bill says waiting on parts. Another month goes by . Nothing . I call Billy says can you send another list. So I send another list. This goes on all summer long. One excuse after another. Then he tells me that everything is fixed except the leveling system. And he had taken it to a shop to have it fixed because they couldn’t figure it ou. So another couple months go by and we go to Salem to see a friend. . We go by the place to check on it and it’s still not fixed all the things that Billy said were fixed weren’t fixed. We have been jerked around for a year over a year. It’s a year older and in worse shape then when we bought it. There’s a lot more to the store . I’m tired of typing. Just know you can’t trust anything those boys say at World of RV’s llc in Salem Oregon. You better make sure you get everything in wiriteing because there word is no good.! Show less
