I purchased a new leftover 2022 Jayco from Terrytown in May of 2023. The sales team was very convincing in terms of how they back their products and care about their customers. Upon my request, they were to provide a pre inspection check list. Though after asking a few times, and several excuses why, it was never provided and mistakenly I ended up hooking up to begin my nearly 7 hour drive home. Not 10 minutes from the dealership the truck alerted that the brake connection was lost. I stopped to check my connections thinking that was the issue. Further down the road it continued and I called the salesman Ben, who passed me to service dept. Neither offered much help and since it was new, I assumed they actually checked out the unit, thought it was a truck issue. After driving home with intermittent brakes and burning up a set brakes and more useless phone calls, I discovered that the wiring in the junction box on the front of the trailer looked like it was wired by a child; loose wire nuts, too small wire nuts for the connections made, results in poor connections (no big deal, it was only the brakes). I loosened up one of the wire nuts and copper shavings fell like needles off a dried up pine tree. So I fixed this issue with no help from Terrytown. My next issue was plumbing leaks, that I also fixed myself. Again something I requested to have checked and was assured it was OK. Lastly a loose clamp was found on the fresh water tanked that resulted in a significant leak. This was also fixed by me. Terrytown offered no help, no consolation or really ever seemed to care. Though they have a nice selection of units, in my experience there is ZERO support after the sale...they just move on to the next fool.
