27 Feb 2022 - Dealership is three major sections: Sales, Service and Financing. Tabatha was AWESOME. From day one, she worked with us and even met us on her day off to spend over 7 and a half hours with us. Our intention was only to see what was available and what it felt like to sit in the selections we wanted to look at. I sent her a list of those RVs that they had listed, and she showed us each one and was honest about each one. We had decided on one and after taking us to our van to get something from it, we headed back to that RV to discuss it. Across from it was another one year newer RV and since another couple was looking at our choice, we went in there to cool off and talk. The moment my wife sat down on the couch with our fur baby, she was sold! We looked it over and changed our minds and went for a slightly more expensive RV.
Her sales manager provided an estimated Monthly Payment with a low down payment. One hour and 30 mins, the finance person took us into a separate office and showed us a longer term, Higher cost and higher monthly payment. “This is high, but I’m sure I can get it down where you want. Since this is Sunday Evening, I’ll call you Monday morning with the new and better figures.” We were not called until Wednesday evening after I called to ask what was going on.
The terms were the same and the monthly payment was only $6 less than the sale manager wrote down. I informed him that in essence nothing had changed. “Well, what if I can get the deposit waved, and delay the first payment for three months? Would that help us get to where you want to be” I said I would have to talk to my wife.
I was told by the sales team that the finance person had told them that the monthly payment was much less than was told to me. I checked with USAA and was able to get some better terms, but still wanted to try to get my wife’s dream RV.
Not only that, but I was told that the finance team would call us. Instead, I got a call from the service team that the RV was ready for my walk through and training. Seams that no one told them I was not coming that soon and the appointment we set was for a week later!
Now almost a month later, I still have not received a call from the Financing team, only a message to see if we could come by and discuss.
I have since stated that I wanted to talk to the General Manager and sales manager. I was told that “they understood that I was no longer interested”. If the finance team had call when promised, offered me the “deals” they had from the beginning, and told us the same info that was relayed to the sales team. I WOULD be interested.
After working ain sales before and as a customer service manager and trainer, it is my feeling that the finance team let our sales rep, Tabatha, down. She took time on her day off to show us what we asked about, even helped us feel good about our decision, and then the finance team did what they did. We are disappointed in the finance department’s attitude and way of dismissing us when we were willing to discuss numbers, but they delayed calling and would only talk to us where the closed room approach could be used.
Again, If you go to Optimum RV, be sure to ask for Tabatha or anyone she recommends. The sales team is “No Pressure”, honest and willing to help you find what you need. We are still considering working with them, but now we know what to expect after the sales team helps us.

BUYER BEWARE: A $170,000 NIGHTMARE – DO NOT TRUST OPTIMUM RV OCALA
We spent $170,000 on what was supposed to be our dream RV—a brand new 2025 Georgetown. What we got instead was a complete nightmare. Optimum RV in Ocala has shown us the worst side of the RV industry, and we feel obligated to warn other customers before they go through what we did.
Here’s the full scope of the horror show:
1. Rushed, Useless Walkthrough:
We were rushed through the walkthrough like cattle. No real explanations, no time to ask questions, no effort to ensure we understood the features of our brand new rig. For such a massive investment, we expected professionalism. What we got was careless indifference.
2. Total Communication Breakdown:
We were given pickup dates that changed constantly. No one returned calls, messages were ignored, and when we finally got someone on the line, we got vague excuses and no answers. It was like pulling teeth just to get basic information.
3. Incomplete Unit at Delivery:
Not all parts were in when we arrived to pick up our RV. They handed it off anyway, promising they’d get everything completed later. Spoiler alert: they didn’t. Empty promises, broken timelines, and zero accountability.
4. RV Inspection Was NOT Completed:
This one is not only unprofessional—it’s dangerous. We later learned that the full inspection had not been completed before they handed us the keys. We trusted them to ensure the unit was safe and ready for the road. They failed us completely.
5. We Left the Lot in an Unsafe Vehicle:
We unknowingly drove off in a rig with underinflated tires. Let that sink in. We were handed the keys to a six-figure vehicle that hadn’t even been properly checked for road safety. Had we gotten into an accident, it could’ve been catastrophic. And Optimum RV would’ve been fully responsible.
6. Verbal Abuse from General Manager Randy:
When we tried to get answers and express our concerns, GM Randy was downright hostile. He spoke to us like we were beneath him—aggressive, rude, and disrespectful. Zero professionalism, zero empathy, zero care. He is a disgrace to the role he holds.
7. Service Lied and Committed Warranty Fraud:
We were told that service work had been completed—only to discover nothing had been done. Yet, they billed the warranty company anyway. That’s not just bad service; that’s fraud. We have documentation and are in the process of reporting this.
8. Phones Disconnected Due to Volume of Complaints:
We were informed that their phones had been disconnected at one point because of too many customer complaints. That should say everything you need to know about how they run their business.
9. Once They Had Our Money, They Disappeared:
As soon as they secured our $170,000, they disappeared. No follow-through, no resolution, and absolutely no concern for our well-being or satisfaction. It was a hit-and-run sale—get the money and forget the customer.
βΈ»
In summary:
Do not buy from Optimum RV Ocala unless you enjoy being lied to, ignored, disrespected, and placed in potentially dangerous situations. This dealership is a disgrace and should be avoided at all costs. We’ve filed formal complaints and are exploring legal action. No one deserves to go through what we did.

Myself , like so many others I have read on this site, have experienced the same thing. Ridiculous fees added at the last minute, after you have negotiated your out the door price. 5,999 added for destination and inspection cost. And, another 999 for clean up and walk through and processing cost. They start off with very competitive prices on their web site and then add these outrageous additional fees at closing.
My experience was worse than any used car I have ever bought! I would never recommend these people to anyone. In addition to very deceptive transactions during the sale , the left hand truly doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Most confused bunch of people I have ever experienced. You have been warned, DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Slide toppers not installed… sale was done, so we were not the priority of the day, RV wasn’t ready
Maybe Family owned… but run like a big box store… get them in, get them out! We’re ready to trade, downsize… but Although they have good choices, we won’t go back!!!
