I am an Aggie Letterman and a captain of the 2004 NCAA National Champion Equestrian Team. "We are the Aggies, the Aggies are we. True to each other as Aggie can be.... " unless you are Motorhomes of Texas and then you treat other Aggies horribly. My elderly retired parents, who have been tailgating at Penberthy since 2001, recently met the owners of MOT tailgating as well. They liked them and decided to trade their fifth wheel in for a Tiffin. My parents are perfectionists when it comes to credit, finances, taking care of equipment, etc...basically the quintessential perfect buyer/trade in customer for a dealership . They drove off the lot with the Tiffin November 2024. The motorhome broke down on its maiden voyage from the dealership in Caldwell. It was towed back to a Bryan, TX freightliner dealership. My parents missed taking it to the A&M/ UT game. Several weeks later it was supposed to be fixed so they took it home to Victoria, TX only to learn it was not fixed. As of today, June 3rd 2025, the Tiffin is still in pieces at the freightliner shop in Victoria TX. They got the extended warranty as part of the purchase. They have made 6 or so payments on a rig that has never been anywhere on any trip except to a shop. My parents have been nothing but kind in dealing with extended warranty, the dealership, and the shops. Extended warranty is not wanting to pay. MOT will not return calls or if they do they give my parents the run around. My parents' winter and spring plans are ruined. It looks like their summer plans are too. They can't afford to make a trip anywhere because they are making payments on a lemon. They were even supposed to go to a family member's wedding on the East Coast... not happening now looks like. If everyone leaves them out to dry, they will have to let the bank repo and pay for the cost at the shop... They have paid $17,000 at MOT for repairs, $8700 at the Bryan Freightliner, and now $15,000 in work done at Victoria Freightliner... and it STILL doesn't work and there will still be more to pay from Victoria Freightliner I'm sure!! Basically these Aggies at MOT will financially ruin my Aggie parents. This is an absolute disgrace!!!!! MOT should pick up their piece of trash and make it financially right with my parents. I am taking pictures of my post so that if they block me and delete the comment, I can continue to show others how MOT operates if your purchase has issues. Looks like MOT is loved by many, until they sell you something that breaks down. I will be sure to tell every single Aggie I know how these events went down. SHAME ON YOU!!!! THANKS AND GIG'EM!!!
