I have bought 2 new motorhomes threw them and have had 4 motorhomes service buy them. My first motor home was used and not purchased from them but the repair work necessary they were not capable of doing so I had to take it to another r v repair shop this was in 1996. In two thousand and two I bought in a Itaska c class motor home And just before the warranty expired i had several items that needed repair which day did the repairs for but 3 of the 5 repairs within 30 days after the warranty had expired broke again and they refused to repair them since the warranty period expired this was in 2004. In 2011 i bought a 4 wins C class motor home from a different dealership but the warranty work was to be done by them and they did not do quality repair work under warrenty in 2013. In twenty twenty two i bought a b class motor home from them and just over a year later i wanted to have them buy it from me since i know longer wish to use it and since i had had cats in it they refused to even consider purchasing it. They asked me and i told them what i expected to get for the coach and they said that was not possible they were selling coaches new for less than that. They were just very disrespectful and condescending throughout the twenty eight years I have doubt with them!

BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a brand new RV for La Mesa RV. Their service department is atrocious. After months upon months of the run around for my warranty issue I started digging into their reputation. I was horrified to see that La Mesa RV has a "D- " rating at the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. They treat their customers horribly. I didn't know about this when I bought my RV, but I wish I had. In my opinion & experience, they don't care about you or your RV, or issues you are having. They only care about the money they can extract from you at the time of sale. DO NOT be pressured into buying their EXTENDED WARRANTY. They pretty much won't let you out of their sales department without purchasing their extended warranty. High pressure calling & calling our home, after we said no. We finally buckled when they reduced the interest rate on the loan to offset the cost. As usual, the extended warranty is pretty much worthless. It's just a huge cash cow for them. Here's what happened to us for a simple $200 repair on an RV with less than 4000 miles ( know that the first 2500 miles were from the drive from factory to San Diego~ that were already on the rig at the time of purchase). They raked us over the coals for 5 months to avoid a simple repair to replace a bad battery. We have barely used the RV. In Feb 2022 we paid for service call to our home and the tech Steven confirmed the battery was not working properly. It was not holding a charge. They did nothing, said they would get back to us. In April, after several calls, he came back again to double check it AGAIN? Still not holding a charge. They tried to charge a second $150 fee to recheck the same problem. Didn't fix it either time~(we have a 3 year/36,000 miles warranty) After this had to make dozens of calls/messages left with Maryanne and Ronnie to follow up. Nothing, no resolution. After the run around of the century, (Feb-July 2022) I contacted the service manager, Mike. I explained to Mike that I had just fallen out of the RV in a crumpled heap in the driveway because the battery was DEAD and the step didn't come out properly. I am 66 years old! I told him I had been getting the run around for 5 months from his service department. He promised to help us replace the bad battery with the help of Brandon at Ford. Could it be? They were actually going to fix this? Read on...... When I called to follow up a week later, I was told by "Jason". That the service manager, Mike had "900 other emails and phone calls to deal with" and we just need to take care of this ourselves at a Ford Dealership Huh? This after 2 service calls to our home~ $150 per visit, dozens of phone calls and waiting 5 months. And Mike promising to take care of this? Really? We also sent an email to Jayco Corporate, service department ~ that was ignored. Let me say this AGAIN! La Mesa RV and their service center don't care how many messages you leave, how many times you talk to someone about resolving an issue. They don't care how much they inconvenience you or waste your time. Honestly, it seems they are just waiting for you to go away. They don't even care if you get hurt because of their negligence. This wasn't the first issue with the service department. We first purchased the brand new RV, there were some other issues, so we made an appt. Two of us had to drive out to El Cajon, leave the RV, drive home. They told us it would just be a few days. Ten days later, we called to check and they told us they didn't have time to look at it~ and didn't know when they would. Why bother to make an appointment? No updates, no communication whatsoever. Waste our time and drove 70 miles/ 2 round trips for nothing. We decided to just live with the issues. Drawers flying out while driving, shop debris left under the flooring when it was manufactured, the bed was not pulling out properly, loose backsplash tile around stove, mushy floor around shower drain) A poorly made RV by Jayco, but that's another story. At the end of the day, we realized the hard way, they don't care about anything but selling you an RV. They don't care about their own reputation, service or their customers. That's pretty obvious by their BBB rating and the way they treated us. Reviews show hundreds of times they could have done the right thing, but decided it was easier to take the low road. They have 8 or 9 locations, ALL with horrible reviews.

Please do not take your RV to La Mesa RV service for warranty work. I purchased a Tiffin 24' Class C from them. The sales aspect was average - neither great nor bad. The service center was a nightmare. They had my RV for 2 months and told me to come get it because they couldn't finish all the warranty repairs as Tiffin wasn't sending them the parts. 3 months later they called me to come back as they had the vinyl flooring that had peeled up. I got the RV there and they had it for a month. They finally said Tiffin hadn't sent the flooring. In fact, Tiffin never called them back. I needed to come get my RV. La Mesa RV just stopped taking care of me. Tiffin is telling me that they don't know what happened and they will get authorization for me to take it to another repair center. I hope so as La Mesa RV is not going to ever get my business.

As others have stated, they get a 1-rating only because you cannot give a 0 or a -10. Do yourself a favor: read the other reviews! They are dead accurate. DO NOT BUY FROM LA MESA RV!!! This is THE worst dealership of any kind. We set up an appointment over a week in advance to see and test drive a unit that we were interested in, drove 3 hours each way to get there and back, spent over $125 for gas and a dog sitter, only to have the salesman that we had been dealing with for 90 days dump us on someone else that had absolutely no idea what we were looking for, and to find that the unit we had arranged to see was in pigsty condition and buried in their PDI lot with no chance whatsoever of being driven or of having its systems tested. It was a complete waste of an entire day and a total disrespect of our time. And they wonder why we didn't give them a $130,000 check on the spot! They couldn't have cared less about us as a customer...just wait until you fork out your hard-earned money and they treat you like complete crap...at least we lucky and hadn't given them a dime, nor will we ever. BTW: here are the email addresses for the CEO and GM of the San Diego office if you want them for filing your complaints. CEO: JASONKIMBRELL@LAMESARV.C… GM: SGAMMO@LAMESARV.COM (Their admin assistant was more than happy to provide them when she thought they were actually going to get a positive "thank you" letter...funny how she said, "that's so nice, we don't get many of those". Go figure... Useful Funny Cool Eeee

We purchased from dealer in 1974, they were fine. This purchase in 2018 is the worst RV we have ever owned (we have owned several in between). The coach has been a continuous string of malfunctions and annoyances. Most service (when you could get them to do it) was either incomplete, damaging to the vehicle or poorly done. Some service examples: There were 5 or 6 after sale service visits. At a couple of the visits they did not have the parts, but did not tell me ahead of time, even though we had to come in from out of town They installed a Convection/Microwave, but the lights did not work until I fixed them. They replaced the arms on the awing, but broke off whatever they used to keep the awing from unrolling. This required work to get the piece out when we needed to work on the awing later. They also managed to get silicone sealer, on the side of the coach, around the arms 6" from the arm. They adjusted a compartment door, but the door closed only twice before it malfunctioned and now the hinge is loose. They never did address the rattling and banging in the sidewall (by the slide), or the noise in the dash board. The coach was out of alignment and the outside edges were worn off the front tires. They replaced 1 of the tires and hid the other front tire inside on the rear. They aligned the front end, but the steering wheel was 3 to 5 degrees off afterwards.
