Worst service experience I have ever encounter in my entire life!!! DO NOT purchase an RV from General RV of Wixom, MI. During walk through it was noted something was broken. Part was to be ordered (Never was). Drove RV home and all kinds of wires fell by brake pedal (the dash panel to be reattached and wires wore to be taken care of per the salesperson when pointed out when first looking at unite on lot). 2 weeks after having unite took back in for a number of issues. Now 2 months old have water leak from roof, Back in shop (could be from when they mounted solar panel on roof). 1 week later service rep stated parts are in and when I asked about finding the leak I was told did not even look into it yet. They don't know when they will get to looking at RV even after having a specific scheduled appointment time. During this time we have had a number of days of rain (so what is that doing to the inside of the walls!!!).
Extremely disappointed/dissatisfied customer!
UPDATE: Most recent and ongoing dealings with General RV service department. Going on the middle of the third week since our scheduled appointment to find the water leak on our new motorhome and they still have not done anything with our RV. Service representative does not know when they will get to it. I cannot emphasize enough the discouragement from spending six figures on something and having this kind of frustration. Also, back to the owner who made a response to communicate with management, which I believe to be not authentic we have worked with a couple of the managers at the Wixom, MI location. One response from a manager to my wife was (what do you want me to do about it, I have 150 units on my lot I have to deal with).
Again, I can't say it or print it loud enough...find a different dealership so you may enjoy your new adventures because our adventure has and still is nothing short of a nightmare!!!

I wish I would have read the other reviews before I made the mistake of doing business with General RV. Hands down the worst buying experience I've ever had.
We literally had dozens of issues with our brand new Class B van. You would think when you pay over $100k for something it would be in good shape when you first get it.
The most egregious errors are:
1) they forgot to connect the pipes to the rear sink. Had to drive 2 hours to go back and get them to fix it.
2) as soon as we drove off the lot, saw that our brand new vehicle had an airbag issue. They obviously were aware of the problem before we bought it, but now it's our responsibility to find a Dodge dealer to get the issue resolved.
3) the rear coach air conditioning does not work. When we brought it back the first time, they claimed it was working fine. Now that we have it home and it is much warmer, it obviously doesn't work. Their answer is to bring it back to Michigan, 6 hours from home, for the third time.
No thanks, I will be looking for another dealer that can get it right the first time.
It's unbelievable that they consider this to be a reasonable buying experience.
If I had any idea how poor their service would be, I'd never, ever consider doing business with them. As the attached picture shows, our brand new van is "in the shop", not at our home. If you are reading this, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED...
UPDATE:
In the meantime, I finally found an honest RV sales and service dealer, Cunningham RV in southern Indiana. They determined that the AC in my rig was never connected to the control panel from time of manufacture. So it was never going to work. I paid General RV over $2k for “dealer prep” which presumably would include making sure the AC worked, among the dozens of other issues. Again this is a brand new rig. When I disputed the part of the sales price I put on my credit card since they clearly did NOT prep my rig, the response they provided my credit card company clearly took them many hours. It’s a shame they didn’t spend those hours preparing my rig to begin with. When they spend more time fighting legitimate claims than they do actually providing service, you have someone dealing in bad faith who has no interest in service, just trying to rip you off as a business model. I can only hope this review will save at least one other person for the terrible mistake I made walking into General RV.

Purchased a 2022 Primetime Sanibel 3802WB from General RV at the Hersey PA show Sept 2021. Paid to have the 5th wheel hitch installed in our brand new 2021 RAM 2500. We scheduled our appointment on November 13th 2021 to have the Harrisburg PA location install our 5th wheel hitch. Our appointment was at 9am. Matt (the Service tech Manger)took our truck at 930am. After waiting all day for them to finish installing the hitch, at 530 pm Matt came and said that we are all set! Good to go! Thank god we did not hook up our 5th wheel 14k pounds. Matt installed the wrong hitch, installed the rails in the wrong direction and only used one (1) nut! We videod this and sent it to Robin Kind who sold us our unit at the show he works in the Brownstown MI location. We could have seriously hurt someone or ourselves! We asked to be refunded for the hitch installation $2500 and still have not been refunded. We have had the correct rails and hitch installed. And because of his incompetence we now have multiple holes in the bed and in the frame of our brand new 2021 Ram. This is due to General RV not training anyone in Harrisburg PA location!
***STILL WAITIN ON OUR PROMISED REFUNDS!
SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHES AND DISAPPOINTMENT DONT BUY FROM GENERAL RV! ***

Absolutely the worst service experience I've ever had, and that goes back to the 1970's!!! Made an appointment 2 months ahead of time, and my 43' coach sat for 4 days before it was even looked at. After 5 more days they finished some simple repairs, no waiting for parts. When I picked it up, not all my requested services had been addressed, resulting in another wait. Later, I discovered that the house batteries had been disabled while they performed their 'magic', and it was delivered to me in that condition, so had to contact their service department again for advice. After a 6 hour wait, a service manager called & talked me through a fix. Profuse apologies were offered, but I'll never patronize another General RV.....AND their labor charge is $215 per hour!!!!
