Bought a 2023 Four Winds 24LT class c motorhome Mercedes diesel. It's been in the shop more than I've used it. I count over 15 things that have gone wrong. What just happened takes the cake. I was told it's a diesel generator. When I got home from Florida I tried to start it as I was told to do every 45 days because it's diesel. Wouldn't start , they said it was bad and replaced it. A while later I went to start it and it wouldn't start. They look at it and told me it's fine they just turned on the LP. Well Thor put a flex fuel generator in it so it will run on LP and diesel. Only problem is they put a LP and gas not diesel generator in it and only hooked up the LP. Thor told me to bad thats just how they did it. The generator is pretty much useless since it won't run very long on a small LP tank. My only hope is that General can do something for me. Don’t Do Business with General RV in Wayland, Michigan. From beginning to end, our experience with General RV in Wayland, Michigan was unacceptable. Key points: - All about sales and in-house financing - Service department did not do as we asked but ‘checked’ that they had - Rude to us in person and on the phone - Our brand new camper was filthy dirty when delivered - A few hours of watching online videos and we knew more about the trailer than the salesperson - Salesperson tried to convince us that the trailer awning half open was in fact correct - Incorrectly noted the lending institution which cost our credit union money to correct the title Despite trying to get specific warranty work completed on our camper by General RV in Wayland, Michigan they failed us at several levels. - Outside trim was not fixed - DVD player was marked as fixed but wasn’t - Refrigerator door piece was marked as fixed but still falls off When we picked up our camper they not only totally neglected to show us how to hook up our trailer, but it was probably hooked up illegally because the emergency brake cable was hooked to one of the chains because the hook was too small to attach to vehicle. IT MUST BE HOOKED UP TO THE VEHICLE. He crossed the chains ONLY after I asked the service person to do it. It was pouring rain when we went to pick up our camper, which, to note again, did not have the work completed they said they did. When I asked if I had to go out in the rain and hook it up without help and the salesperson’s response was “Yes”. We don’t feel respected, appreciated, or in any way ‘special’. Worst Dealership we have ever had to deal with! The sales team is all pressure and no follow through! The sales person ignored us when the problems started coming....and come they did!! They had our coach for a total of about 6 months to fix the major issues.Did they fix them?? No!!! We ended up having to take it to the factory several times to have everything fixed again!! A brand new coach and we couldn't even use it. Some of the things that they charge the heavy prep fee didn't even work. Service department does not have techs that can repair even minor issues. Not a pleasant experience and cannot recommend them!If the form allowed I would give them no stars! Show less
