They lie to you just to buy an RV. They sell poorly made RV. Service sucks took forever to get it fixed. Things didnt get fixed had to take it back again. Found out we had broken bolts rear axle with onlt 1900 miles on it poorly made and 5 times it went in fir service never found. It has been that way since we bought it. Dealership sucks.

In October 22, I bought a brand new Thor Quantum LC26 at the Tampa RV show. When I went to pick up the RV At General Rv, there were numerous items wrong. Roof buckling in the back, bathroom sink was never connected, microwave missing plate, slide outs not aligned caused damage to the vinyl flooring, damage to driver rear view mirror and step, driver and passenger seats stained, and water pressure in shower and kitchen very poor. Was told all these items will be fixed and I had to take possession of the rv. The rv has been to General Rv 4 times for over a month each time and still the roof is buckling, water pressure still very poor and still no microwave pate or ring. And the last time it was there they broke the awning to driver front slide out causing damage to the framing around the slide out. Every time I drop it off to get the roof repaired it never happens and I am told we need to contact Thor. This has been going on for almost a year.

Just leave. Find a mom and pop RV dealer that will take of you. They just want the money. If you ever have warranty issues, it will take months for repairs. It's like they wear you down until you give up and go away....

Shockingly bad service.
We purchased our Fleetwood Flair 29M at the Tampa show January 2022. We were told that it would arrive in June, however, it wasn't until late October when we got the unit and in the meantime another credit pull and finance agreement had to be undertaken as due to the lateness of the unit as the promised finance agreement had expired. The new agreement resulted in an additional $18k over the lifetime of the loan. Bad as this was, the real issues started after we picked up the unit. We had our own private inspection of the coach done ourselves which revealed some general issues that needed addressing but nothing that would prevent us using the coach in the meantime. We agreed to return at a later date to take care of everything. Big mistake. After our first camping trip, the entire HVAC and heating system failed as well as the inverter. On our return, we contacted General RV and agreed to take the unit in for repair. At first everything seemed good with the service manager agreeing to keep us posted on the progress and to hopefully have the unit back to us in a couple of weeks. Three weeks went by with no contact. We tried calling, emailing, texting to no avail. After a month we contacted the corporate headquarters which finally yielded a call from the service department. We were told that they were waiting on parts and we should get our unit back imminently. This charade went on for another 2 months and after many calls to corporate, they finally told us our coach was ready to be picked up. When we arrived, we saw our coach completely filthy in the lot. We went inside and quickly realized that pretty much nothing had been done at all and what had been done was very shoddy with missing and badly refitted trim. We were also greeted by stale urine all over our toilet and floor where a technician had decided to relieve himself. When we confronted the service manager about this and the lack of actual repairs, he basically denied everything and told us that most of the items had been completely replaced which was complete lies. We eventually insisted that someone take care of the remaining issues whilst we were there which they did, however, my confidence at them being able to perform any repairs with any competence had diminished entirely. We did inform corporate of these events but their attitude was extremely disappointing. They did offer to extend the warranty for 3 months, however, to date this still hasn't been done and we are not sure how to do this ourselves. Overall, the minute we did the deal with General RV the customer service completely stopped and we were treated like absolute dirt. $120,000 paid to these people and my wife and I feel almost abused. This is hands down the most disgusting customer service I have ever received in my life and we are left with an RV that still requires warranty work for which I am not prepared to let General RV to go near.

I bought my Thor motorcoach from General Rv about two years ago and just about the whole two years. It has been in their shop because the conversion is done so poorly I’ve called over 1000 times wanting an update on my van. I never get a call back I called their headquarters repeatedly. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau every single day I call the Headquarters and finally they dropped off my van at my house in far worse condition Than I brought it to them it is completely unusable all and every single part is broken. The coach is unlivable. all three windows leak. The battery is dead. The wiring started to smoke up and the list goes on. They responded to the Better Business Bureau that they have completed the work when they dropped off my van they did not give me any paperwork when we asked the service man, what did you do to the van? He provided no explanation. No response except call Thor . We are done with this van. The van is completely unusable. It is a brand new 2022. Thor motorcoach that I purchased from Dover General Rv when I first went there to buy a vehicle, they tried selling me the wrong van all together, they spent no time with me to show me how the van works. Eight hours later we were so frustrated we decided we wanted to leave, wish we didn’t end up buying the van because What followed after them convincing me to buy the van was complete hell. when they dropped it off with no explanation after having it for 10 months straight I feel like they retaliated when I called Head Quaters and did far more damage to where I can’t even use my van at all. There was only one time they communicated with me through a text message telling me to pick up my van or I’m going to be charged $25 a day. They are still waiting on cushions from Thor and they are done with the van the only time they communicated with me was to threaten me for more money when this is under warranty and has been with them for a very long long time and they allowed it to rot never turning on the battery, so therefore, the whole conversion will not turn on and starts to smoke. Basically the list goes on with what’s wrong with this van every single part of it is a complete disaster and not in any working order. My heart is broken because I spent my entire savings on this. Looking forward to fun and adventure on my time off but instead it has been at their shop being treated like garbage And is still unusable

We purchased our first RV, a Forest River Salem Cruise Lite from General RV in Oct of 2021. In Dec of 2021, we took our first camping trip. The trip was great; however, we came back with a list of repairs, some small, some large (the slide would not operate, at least it was stuck in and not out at the campsite, and the floor was starting to cave in). All of our research said that this was to be expected. We took the RV to General RV for the warranty work. Made an appointment and checked in on time. I sat in the waiting room the entire day checking in with the service advisor every hour or so only to find out that they never even looked at the unit at the end of the day. They just told me to take it back home and call the manufacturer. What??? When we did call Forest River, they were as confused as we were and said that the dealer is definitely supposed to handle all of that.
Called and talked to a manager. They at least sent a guy out and took the unit in, so I didn't have to take it back myself. We did not get the unit back until March of 2022. Forest River did extend our warranty for 3 months because of the time taken. General RV had fixed most of the small things and the floor as well as the slide (or so we thought). We took our next trip in April 2022. The slide broke again. Again, thankfully, when we got back home. However, They would not keep the unit this time, so it sat, unusable, from April to Aug, when they finally sent someone to come pick it up after we again had to speak with a manager after many many attempts to get updates only to be completely ignored. They had the unit from Aug until April of 2023. I just picked it up today. There were almost weekly requests for updates. Most were completely ignored. We went up the chain until we reached the general manager before something was finally done. However, now, the warranty is expired. The AC would not work when we got home and General RV's response is, "You're on your own". Forest River has said that they would not extend the warranty any further.
Well, the only good thing that I can say is at least I will not have to ever go back to General RV again.
My best advice, stay away from General RV, and Forest River, for that matter.
