If you are considering purchasing a KZ RV, I strongly suggest hiring a professional technician to perform a thorough inspection for hidden manufacturing defects. Our unit had incorrectly installed window seals that caused water intrusion into the walls and flooring. This defect was only discovered through an extensive investigation during attempt to resell, as it required removing the window trim to notice. Despite a third-party service center confirming the unit was manufactured improperly, KZ has declined responsibility because the two-year warranty has expired. They cite a maintenance schedule requiring seal inspections every three months, even though the defect was internal and not visible through standard maintenance. Based on our experience, we have to disagree with their quality statement regarding unwavering craftsmanship and attention to detail. Please be very cautious if you are considering a KZ unit.

We love this 2024 floor plan and the features that it comes with. Unfortunately, it was VERY poorly designed and assymbled at the factory and Thor/KZ will not make it right on this brand new fifth wheel! The KZ representative is very snotty to me and to the dealership where we are trying to get this unit back to the condition that it should have been in when delivered! 1. The on demand water heater leaked like a fire hose! 2. The 2 sliding doors between the bath and BR fall off every time we travel! 3. The sliding king size bed falls apart! 4. A wheel hub fell off on our first trip! 5. NUMEROUS fit and finish issues and lack of quality! If Thor/KZ would just not be such rude jerks and fix what they should fix, we would be happy. Appearently, Thor/KZ does not opperate how most businesses do. Even the dealership is amazed!

This Fifth wheel is a complete piece of garbage. Purchased brand new. On delivery, the convertor was bad. The refrigerator didn’t work. The back patio awning was broken. Some of the window treatments were falling off the walls. Sent it back to fix. They fixed the window treatment and replaced the refrigerator with a cheaper model. Nothing was done to the awning. Sent it back three months later the refrigerator was replaced. Nothing fixed on the awning. Since then, one of the fireplaces is messed up. The window at the dining room is leaking really bad. The front side awning won’t go back in. For $100k you would expect better. Do yourself a favor and do not purchase this. You will have nothing but issues.

Great 5th wheel with exceptional durability. 23 years and the only repairs I've had to make has been the screens, the kitchen sink and a the vent housing. I did choose to update the interior lighting, the toilet, window coverings and the kitchen backsplash but I redid them because I wanted to not because it was needed. Though a bit heavy, my 6.4 l power stroke still pulls it without issue. This trailer is spacious and well planned to maximize space. And soooo much storage space. There is no space wasted. The bedroom is huge and includes 3 closets and a vanity area. This trailer is SOLID and sturdy and has held up impressively over the years.

Our original warranty timed out so we bought into what we thought was the best extended warranty. We were WRONG. BUT, that's not the point! This rig was purchased brand new. Should've lasted us more than 6 years without major frame issues. KZ AND LIPPERT ARE THIEVES. THIEVES!!! Not even Subpar work at best!! We are heartbroken. REALLY!! We have loved this home until now. What a freaking moneypit! ALL BECAUSE OF ROTTEN WELD WORK BY LIPPERT! NOW WE HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR ROTTEN BUILD!! YOUR AWFUL.

This review is actually for a 2021 KZ Durango Gold G381REF which was not an option I could select from on the form above. I really liked the floorplan. This RV is very similiar to the Grand Design Solitude 375RES but the 381REF has an additional fireplace in the bedroom, an adjustable bed, double shades, and a dishwasher. I have an issue with the Quality and problems of finding a dealer that will do warranty work. The dealer we bought this from is 1,000 miles away from our home and we have experienced a number of issues: (1) Finding a local dealer that will work on it without waiting months to get in (2) basic quality issues that should have been caught during quality control. When we finally got into a repair facility they did an overall inspection and found that the floor in the kitchen's slide out needed to be replaced. We left the trailer with them in December and could not pick it up until March. After getting it home we tried moving the slideouts to open it up and the Bedroom slideout didn't go out. The service tech said upon inspection that the slide out was not centered properly and when he looked at one of the motors he saw rust on it. I just took in to them (May 3) and I am hoping that our trailer will be ready for it's maiden voyage on June 6. I am beginning to have doubts about the quality of the workmanship and have asked the dealer to inspect the remaining slide outs and I am waiting to find out the results on that and when I can expect to pick it up. I can say that the initial warranty work was good. They replaced the landing gear due to a hydraulic leak and replaced the floor in the kitchen but that's not something I would expect to need on a brand new trailer. Bill Hofford Virginia

We bought this RV because we were looking to live in it full time. We did live in it 1/2 to full time for almost 4 years. The floor plan worked very well for 2 people that are retired. We did not pull it around the country, it sat in the same RV resort for the time we owned it. The things we like about it are: It has a stove top with an oven, a combination microwave convection oven, opposing slides in the living area, large TV that goes down into the cabinet when not in use, lots of windows that are tinted, large shower with on demand hot water, RV king size bed, great ventilation with the ceiling fan and power vent fans, and the high quality of the cabinets and wood work through out the entire RV. The short comings are: the couches had the poor fake leather, they had to be replaced, the RV now has a love seat recliner and a recliner, The mattress was not comfortable for a bad back, replaced it with a new Sleep Number mattress. These are the only things I can think of that we did not like. I would recommend this 5th wheel as a RV for traveling or placement in a RV park/resort.

We have been living full time in our alfa gold for 5 years in april,April, has tall ceilings 7 foot 6 and is like walking into a condo, the oak cabinets are plentiful lots of storage, and the shower is huge! The freightliner chassis is a smooth ride and the big 1200 ft pound cummins 400 engine is pure power and driving pleasure,we have done lots of upgrades and repairs over the years replaced the leveling jacks with bigfoot hydraulic jacks.the main gripe people have with the body is the osmostic blistering of the fiberglass panels,it's a defect from the panel makers that make it pop off little zits ,my fix has been to get nail polish and cover them up to keep the moisture out,it works.we did meet a couple who had their fiberglass panels replaced to the tune of 40 k so we just live with ours, and we got a really good deal on our 2007 alfa gold because of the blisters, small price to pay for an awesome RV.would recommend this coach to any one .
