Buyer Beware! After blowing two fuses on the battery wired to the Scout Lite, they hooked up the camper to my 2014 XTerra. BTW...there was some mention of a new guy that didn't get it right all the time. Approximately 2 miles from the RV dealer, I heard a pop and my whole vehicle shut down! Smoke from connection in back. Fire Dept observed battery on camper was wired incorrectly. Took out whole electric system on my vehicle. They claim my hook-up was to blame, even though this is a factory installed hitch that came with the vehicle when I bought it brand new in 2014. Shop where repair was made confirmed it was whatever had been hooked up to my vehicle. So, Como RV refuses to cooperate and give us their mandatory shop insurance info. We're not done yet. Loss of vehicle valued @ $20,000 reduced to $4000.00 trade-in. Oh yeah, we were passing through on our way back home, about 1,000 miles away. Forced to buy a new vehicle to get home. Not sitting idlily by. 🤬
