The quality of this camper is horrible.
First time out with camper, the cupboard doors, drawers, and refrigerator door were all open with the contents spilled everywhere. None of the latching systems are adequate. Had to add bungy cords on everything.
One drawer bottom broke loose. Drawer construction is a joke. Had to rebuild the drawer. More repairs will likely be required.
After a few short trips, discovered a leak hidden under the bed. The access hatch under the bed wouldn't open due to crooked construction. Had to remove and modify the access panel to access the leak.
The floor sagged in one corner of the camper causing the door to have a gap. Camper wall was crooked. Camper sent back to the Forest River for repairs.
Lift system brackets came loose repeatedly. Tightened and repaired twice myself, then by the Dealer but came loose the first time it was used when I picked up the camper. Still waiting for repairs by General RV.
At this time, General RV and Forest River have had possession of my camper for 8 months of the first year of ownership and it's still not usable.

I purchased this trailer as the 3rd owner, lo and behold after purchasing and spending our first summer I quickly realized how cheaply this trailer was made. With in our first summer we had to replace the thermostat, go around to all the cabinets and touch up nicks and scratches on the cabinets as the material that they are made out of is like cardbord. I have had to replace the city water hookup and the seal was not holding anymore. Overall build quality is terrible, looks pretty but let me tell you, the quality for what you pay for is not there. The best part is the tanks and plumbing, I got under the trailer to inspect the tanks, wow I couldn’t believe what I seen. Litterly two thin metal straps hold up a 40 gallon water tank, the black and gray were the same. Then the plumbing, all the linens are held up with plastic tie wraps, really is this grade school construction WTH! ! The heat vent were full of wood saw dust. Yes far as towing goes a small compact car could tow it because the thing is made out of recycled material and only weighs 6100lbs. Oh and storage, ha ha ha. not very much for a 30’ trailer. We had a 1995 Terry 5th prior to this and let me tell you everything about that trailer was better. But it did weigh in at a hefty 9500lbs. We would have kept it, but the parks are not allowing trailers in under 10yrs old, which really sucks because that 1995 was an amazing trailer. Built to last and had everything we needed. Morale of this review guys, do your homework before purchasing and do a complete under over and all around inspection. Great thing is we are in a great park, I am pretty handy so my plan is to do some upgrades and get the plumbing all mounted with pipe clamps, thinking about adding another window as we don’t get a lot of sunlight in the trailer. Good luck in your search, be mindful.

My wife and I recently purchased this trailer last spring, we are the 3rd owner in just under 4yrs. We are quickly realizing why. . Let’s start with the good, first appearance of the trailer is very modern inside. With a decent layout. That’s all I have for the good. Now for the bad, we quickly noticed moving our stuff from our 1955 27’ 5th wheel trailer into this new one had no where near the storage space as the 5th wheel did. We soon realized that the master bedroom in the new trailer was smaller than the 5th wheel trailer, the queen size bed barely fits. We have to climb up over the bed to get to the side of the bed where the closet are. Which are also very small compared to the 5th wheel. . Once we were all moved in, time for a good cleaning of the trailer, we started realizing very quickly how poorly the quality and craftsmanship of this trailer really was. From everything to walls, flooring, cabinets, dinette, I mean everything about this trailer is poorly made and made with very poor quality material. It doesn’t hold the cold, Ac unit is constantly running and very noisy. Same for the furnace. The slide out bring it in and out can be a challenge, I have to be outside watching it go in and out very very slowly stepping it, while making sure the seals don’t get pulled the wrong way and damaged. The fresh water tank is under the trailer held up by two thin metal straps. The plumbing of the trailer in also under the trailer held up by tie wraps. How can these dealers charge so much for these trailers they are cheap poor quality craftsmen ship. It’s disgusting how this can be allowed . I regret ever selling my 1995 Terry 5th wheel, but due to the age most parks in Ontario will not allow older trailers as new seasonal campers. The park that we are in and really love it and the location is perfect for us, but being a new seasonal camper we had to purchase a newer trailer. Honestly if I could have kept the 5th wheel over this New travel trailer. Be able to stay in our park of choice it definitely would be the 5th wheel.

We purchased this new and have now used it for one season and beginning the second. Everything continues to work as intended and we have had no issues. The couch was torn at the time of purchase with the request put in for replacement. It did take a few months, but replaced without issue. Overall my husband and I are very comfortable in the bed after upgrading the mattress. We are both 6'2'' and both "fluffy" people, and it is easy enough to get in and out of the bed. No problem with pulling down the murphy bed. Dinette is useless. Storage is limited, but we find it enough for us. Love the bathroom. This would not be a good choice for a family.

I bought the 2013 v cross vibe(forest river) in 2015, for light travel trailer that is 20 foot, it has everything you need plus a good size bathroom. Pull out for bunk/dining area is a full size pull out, so adds space. Quality of finish is so so. Here is what I font like, the queen bed in back is up high, if Lower would be much better, in 2013 Forest River decided to put a 3500 pound axle on a 3300 pound trailer, then in a couple years later did a recall, they sold these travel trailers with a carrying weight of I think around 590 pounds, then they mailed out a sticker to put over old sticker that reduces carrying weight to like 200 pounds total. That is unacceptable, wonder why there has not been a class action lawsuit yet? Is like selling you a truck with 10,000 pound towing capacity and a few years later tell you max is 5000 pounds. There is large storage in back, but useless, once on road that storage needs to be empty or trailer will be back heavy and sway bad. Also they Place the single axle in basically very middle, so is very rear heavy and going up steep inclines tends to scrape the rear scissor Jack's. In 2014 they put 4400 pound axle and 15 inch tires. I love the trailer, but have to be cautious everytime I tow to make sure weight is all toward front. I take it out weeks a year, no real issues except at first when the sway, then I put on a single sway bar and took everything out and put in truck. Don't know if I will ever buy a forest river product again after they knew they ripped off consumers by sending a sticker as their way of fixing the axle that was not strong enough for the trailer. I may go and buy new axle to fix this, is kind of scarey.

I can honestly say that this camper is the worst camper I have ever owned. We bought it brand new. As soon as we started using it, the slide leaked and caused damage to the floor and walls. The toilet leaked because the water hose on the back was cut too short. The tub leaked. The refrigerator took almost a full day to get cold. The water pump doesn't work at all and had to be replaced. The furnace did not want to kick on. Took a lot of work to get it to kick on and stay working. 1 year out the outside light completely stopped working. The camper was slapped together. To this day I am finding how shotty of work Forest River really does on their campers. I would never ever buy a Coachmen or anything made by Forest River ever again. When I get the chance I am trading this in for a camper that is worth something and is built decent because Forest River is not worth what they charge for them.
