Purchased a 16 foot Coleman (2019). We also purchased an extended warranty (5 years). We were told our extended warranty would cover everything except normal wear and tear. We had problems with the refrigerator, the front door, and the heater. All repaired under manufacturer warranties. In November 2018, I noticed wood trim over the bed had come loose. I noticed two pieces of wood attached together with wood colored duct tape. I wasn't happy about my trailer being built with duct tape. When they repaired it they used duct tape again. They repaired it under warranty, but they didn't fix the problem. November 2020, the wood trim sprung loose again. But now they tell me its no longer covered under warranty and I must pay $80 .. I'm furious! Just forget about my 5 year extended warranty. I don't believe this should be a warranty issue. They used bad glue and duct tape. And when they repaired it they used bad glue and duct tape again. They never fixed the problem to prevent it from needing repair again. So they want me to come in every two years and pay to have the same repair done over and over. Although Camping World would enjoy the business. That's not gonna happen. This is a situation where I should be hearing, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience. We should have fixed the problem the first time. We'll take care of you." It's called customer service. And from my experience. If there is no profit involved, Camping World has no time for customer service. If this situation involved a part that went bad I would feel differently, for obvious reasons. But in this situation the same assembly has failed twice.
During the same phone call I am told I need new wheel bearings. That someone heard grinding sounds coming from my wheel. And that will cost me, I think it was $180 .. I was also told that both my refrigerator and hot water heater needed annual maintenance ($100's more). I had been driving around and having a fairly good day. I was told the bill repair the wood over the bed was $80 (about). I was expecting to argue the $80. But then I was totally blind sided by the several hundred additional dollars she laid on me for the wheel bearings, refrigeration service and water heater service. I later discovered we were never told about the $1,100 in "Recommended" maintenance costs when we purchased the vehicle.
Camping World's recommended annual maintenance:
Slide out maintenance services - $109.99
Towable wheel bearing packs $174.99
Electrical system (six months) $149
Water heater service - $ Imagine
Furnace service - $ Imagine
Appliance/Accessories check $149
Air Conditioner service - $109
Roof preventive maintenance - $409.99
Procare laser alignment
