We remodeled a little while living in it - by taking the dining table out and using that space for a computer desk, The king size bed is wonderful and with a full closet there's room for what we need. The 17ft awning with LED lights gives some additional living space, and we've had a great and enjoyable experience as full time RV'rs.

This is the best floor plan for living that we have ever found. We like the large kitchen, residential fridge, open floorplan to the living and entertainment from the kitchen. TV facing reclining theatre seating is great, plus two full size pull out couches for occasional guests are very convenient. This RV has a large 30"x60" shower with skylight. The bedroom has 2 separate chest of drawers, divided closet, w/ extra shelving, a security safe, and Dyson cordless vacuum. On board washer and dryer, makes life on the road so much easier. The powered King Jack antenna provides over the air channels to a 30" smart TV in the bedroom and 55" smart TV in the living room. It's easy to setup with 6 point autolevel and hydraulic slideouts.

I would like to help someone out there shopping for a fifth wheel and they are the fence about a Heartland product. We did a lot of shopping for our first fifth wheel and our mistake was falling for all the “pretty features” rather than shopping for quality and customer service. We were barely two years into our purchase when we started noticing water damage in the slides. We contacted Heartland and after multiple tries to even get someone to respond, we were finally greeted by someone that understood our problem but said there was nothing they could do to help. We even had purchased an extended warranty but again this would not be covered. After having absolutely no luck with Heartland at all we contacted our insurance provider who ended up denying our claim. The repair shop came back with a 65k estimate to repair all three slides. The floors and ceiling are all rotten from water. Mold has also started growing. They proceeded to tell us that it was common especially with units built during the “Covid” timeframe. Since this started I have researched Heartland issues and it seems this is common. They want to blame customers on lack of maintenance which seems to be their way out of taking responsibility for poor workmanship. The repair shop stated to our insurance that our unit has been well maintained but at the end of the day Heartland doesn’t care. I will forever recommend people to steer clear of any company that doesn’t address customer issues and attempt to rectify. Heartland has absolutely zero customer service and it’s just not acceptable. I have a unit that is only a couple years old , that is valued now at approx 65-70k and it has 65k of damage. The worst part is I am still making payments on this rotten piece of garbage and now am retaining services of an attorney to help me with this. Please rethink ever purchasing a Heartland product.

This is the third fifth wheel camper I have had and It is the poorest quality of the three The others were a Dutchmen and a Jayco.
This unit has cheap furniture, cheap flimsy wood trim inside that is falling off, the finish on the woodwork is junk and scratches easily.
The tires that came on it were chineese junk. the slide outs do not seal tightly when closed. The bedroom slide out leaks water into the floor in the bedroom. I just discovered that the basement storage area has been leaking on the driver side and has rotted the floor out
So its probablly been leaking since it was new. The plastic trim around wheel wells is poorly fastened and flaps in the wind going down the road. I will never buy a heartland product again This Camper has not seen heavy use and is falling apart.

Purchased on September 4, 2023 since then it has been in my possession for 10 days as of October 25, 2023. Before it left the dealers lot we had no A/C in the cab. The brakes were mushy. I went back over to the office to report this and found the office closed. Now we had to drive it home as we dropped off our old camper to pick this one up. On the way home we found the headlights were not aligned. The low beams were only about 5 feet off the front on the RV and the high beams were not a whole lot better. When on high beams on coming traffic did not flash there light for me to go to low beams. I took it back to the dealer 7 days later because I felt it was unsafe to drive. It sat at the dealers for 20 days before they did anything, and that was after I made calls to Thor, camping worlds owner. They said it had to go to Ford for the A/C, Brakes and lights. So the 3 of them sent it to a ford dealer 3 1/2 hours away. (AS no local dealer would work on it) and advised me I had to pick it up. So after another 17 days I picked up the camper from ford. A/C was fixed brakes checked and working fine. Headlights not adjustable per ford. So get it home and decide to see if I could fix the lights. I take off the shroud around the light and guss what there are the adjustments for the headlights. So I contact the dealer and offer to fix the lights for the cost of the fuel for the trip which totaled $203.76. They owed me 30 gallons anyway as tank was not full at pick up time. So with the 30 gallons off the bill it would be $118.63 for my time to fix the lights. Camping world offed me a $50.00 in store credit. So I called Thor and they told me they would not pay me to align the headlights I had to take it back to the dealer and they would fix them. This would put me back to square one as the dealer already told me they could not fix them. So in addition to the above we found before we took the R/V home the door latch dose not open correctly you have to yank on it for all your worth to get it open. The left mud flap was loose. Night stand on right side of bed was loose and sealer at wall was cracked. Wall top next to microwave was scuffed up. Door under bed for access to water tank was damaged on the bottom. Ladder for bed over cab was missing. Both outside mirrors were scratched up. Then to top it all off we get it home from ford and level up and run the slide out and we have a water leak coming out under the kitchen cabinet. Also another leak on the floor under the center of the window on the back wall. All this additional stuff is being ordered or will check it when we go back for the replacement parts. So with all this on a brand new Thor freedom traveler a30 we are out at the least $153.76 more to own it. Along with I have to repair my headlight issue. Now keep in mind I'm 76 years old and 100% disabled veteran. I would not recommend buying any Thor Product or dealing with Camping World dealers

Buyer beWare, We searched many mid-level fifth wheels and after owning several high-end trailers we settled on a Heartland Bighorn 3300DL. It has all we were looking for. We settled on a price at Camping World and took delivery. Proud of our new trailer it was loaded and ready for the first pull. Since I started back to work it would be the ideal home away from home. Our dreams were soon dashed on the first pull to Golden Triangle RV resort. While setting up and connecting to umbilical, I noticed the hot water heater was falling out of the RV. I immediately called Camping World only to find out I was on my own, 50 miles outside the calling area and would have to pay for a mobile tech to come and determine the problem.
This started a long process of contacting Heartland to find where to have it fixed, since the water heater was about to slide out of the trailed making it unwise to tow. A name was provided, called and he came out and did an awesome job, his explanation was that the manufacturer did not install the water heater with the proper support. Heartland has no quality controls set to inspect workmanship, I would not recommend Heartland or Camping World (Service very deceiving. There are other issues not listed here with warranty or lack of.

Heartland does not stand behind their poor workmanship. RV was in the shop for 10 months for warranty issues, while there 5 more things were broken. Heartland was notified about these many issues so they could improve in their assembly line, but they did not want to listen to anything I had to say. They kept putting it back on the repair shop. If their product was made properly, it would not need to be in the shop. Very nice RV, Sad Heartland does not stand behind their product. No compensation for the 10 months of time lost, loss of depreciation, missed family vacations, etc. They just do not care. They lost a customer and will not recommend.
